  • The Gang City stage features randomly chosen movie posters in the background featuring the other holo-members, some of which also reference other media:
    • The poster titled George, with Miko as the swimmer and Gawr Gura as the shark, spoofs Jaws.
    • Amelia Watson's A. W. Noire.
    • Uruha Rushia's black and red silhouette resembles the Eva 2.0 poster from Neon Genesis Evangelion, doubling as a reference to Rushia's comparison to Evangelion Unit 01 because of her powerful screams.
  • Coco's white and red palette bears the same colors as Kiryu Kazuma, her favorite character in Like a Dragon*. In that same vein, her standing heavy attack is a variation of the iconic "Kiryu Kick," which is also re-created in her character art. Even her Super Star Attack is named Essence of True Form: Just Like a Dragon.
  • Risu's Non-stop Nuts Off-Collab, along with referencing Risu's yearly antics during the month of November, is a reference to Oro's Tengu Stone Super Art from Street Fighter III. The only differences are that the nuts have to reappear after they've been used, and there's no EX version.
  • In another Street Fighter III reference, there are two different moves that are based on Urien's Aegis Reflector Super Art:
    • The first is one of Sora's special moves, the A-egis Reflector — with the "A-" standing for A-chan. Unlike its inspiration, it's only useful for reflecting projectiles and counterpoking, with no extra combo or unblockable properties, though it is a safe combo ender and has some defensive utility due to A-chan remaining on-screen for the duration of the move.
    • The second is Kiara's HINOTORI Off-Collab. Kiara's version has no extra features whatsoever, and she follows you around instead of staying stationary.
  • Sora's zoning playstyle is a combination of parts of I-No and Venom's movesets in the older Guilty Gear games. Also, her VFX Calibur is visually reminiscent of Love Heart's sword attacks from The King of Fighters XIV.
  • Speaking of Guilty Gear, Fubuki's forward heavy and down heavy attacks are less flashy versions of Ky Kiske's moves. If you use her 6th Cosplay, the similarities become even more obvious.
  • Fubuki's gimmick, meanwhile, brings Shingo Yabuki's Critical Hits to mind.
  • A few attacks are similar to ones seen in the Marvel vs. Capcom series:
    • Both of Roboco's Assists are similar to attacks used by Doctor Doom. Hi-Spec Missiles Off-Collab is a reference to Doctor Doom's Hidden Missiles from Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (though Roboco's version can't be spammed and doesn't have as many hits), and her Hi-Spec Beam Star Call-In is similar to Doom's Plasma Beam special move.
    • Botan's Super Star Attack is a big shout-out to Jin Saotome's Blodia Vulcan Hyper Combo. It's named "Get To Da Choppa!", which is one of the most iconic lines from Predator.
    • Kiara's SPARKS Star Call-In is reminiscent of Captain America's Charging Star special move.
    • Marines' Star Call-In, the Aquamarine, is a reference to Ruby Heart's Pare-Tonn're Hyper Combo (though the Aquamarine doesn't fire as many times).
  • Aki's summoning and use of Mukirose is one big shout-out to JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, particularly how Stands function as a gameplay mechanic in Heritage for the Future.
  • Aki's Bottom's Up Super Star Special begins with the Rose-tai rushing the opponent en masse, a la Tron/Servbot's Lunch Rush Hyper Combo. At the end, right as Aki has passed out from drinking too much, Mukiroze appears to wind up and deliver Ralf's Galatica Phantom from The King of Fighters.
  • Botan's Trials Ascending Star Special doubles as a reference to Trials, as well as to her many playthroughs of the game, particularly how much she loves the shopping cart guy.
  • Botan's forward medium attack is named CQC, after the combat system seen in Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.
  • Suisei's command grab is named Tetromino Transhumanism, which uses Tetris block visuals. This is also a Mythology Gag of Suisei's absolute mastery of the game.
  • Korone's Super Koro Punch special is an obvious reference to Super Mario Bros. Additionally, its hard attack variation is called Super Koro Punch 64.
  • One of Pekora's Specials appears to be, frame-for-frame, Balrog's Turn Punch.
  • On the subject of Street Fighter, Ollie's Super Star Special, COLLECTOR'S REVENGE!!!, is pretty much framed like Akuma's Raging Demon.
  • Mio's Full Power Flaming Punch is a combination of two different moves used by fighting game "wolves": Jon Talbain's Beast Cannon and Terry Bogard's Burn Knuckle.
  • One of the names seen in the after-fight chat is "Eating M. Dyson's a**." This is also a Mythology Gag, as Korone was tricked into saying that more than once.
  • All of the 6th Cosplays are of fighting game characters:
  • Most of the 5th Cosplays are either references to non-fighting game characters or non-hololive VTubers.
    • Korone's is of the titular Sonic the Hedgehog. This doubles as a Mythology Gag, as Korone is an official brand ambassador for the franchise in Japan.
    • Botan's is Dante from Devil May Cry.
    • Sora and Suisei's are Tsukino Mito and Inui Toko from Nijisanji respectively.
    • Coco's is Melody from VShojo.
    • In a bit of a twist, Ollie's' third Cosplay is that of a non-hololive VTuber, Ironmouse from VShojo. Her 5th is that of her alternate self, Olivia.
  • The male voice announcer is nearly identical to the one in Skullgirls.
  • The victory markers are Golden YAGOOs, based on the digital trophy used for hololive's Taiko no Tatsujin competition. They are also an accessory you can find within the Virtual Frontier mode.
  • The Virtual Frontier Collection room has a box for Holopoly, an item from Delivering Hope that gives one of four random effects.
  • The rendition of "Q&A=E" used in-game is identical to the instrumental of "Paintbucket," a bonus song in HoloFunk. Both games share the arrangement's composer, GGalactigal.
