Megatron getting whacked in the lugnuts is funny.

The lighting in the panel making it hard to tell what's happening without the caption is not funny.

Therefore, let's try to find an image that's funny enough on its own. Here's the original image and some suggestions to get the ball rolling:

Protectors of the Plot Continuum additional item discussions:
    open/close all folders

    In need of action

     On-page ZCE
  • All Stories Are Real Somewhere: Doesn't explain the premise.
  • Anyone Can Die: Just lists off people who died instead of explaining how the trope applies to the setting.
  • The Atoner:
    • First bullet doesn't explain how Dafydd is making up for his past actions, and the part about agents who used to write badfic should be a separate bullet.
    • Second bullet doesn't explain how Alec is making up for his past actions.
    • Third bullet doesn't explain how Paul Bunyan attempted to make up for his involvement in the Macrovirus incident and should be cut if there is no evidence of him doing so.
  • Attempted Rape:
    • "Many, many fics which get sporked" is an Examples Are Not General violation.
    • Laburnum example doesn't specify what she escaped.
    • All examples should be on separate bullets.
  • Back for the Dead: Only says the character's name.
  • Back from the Dead: Doesn't explain how the characters came back from the dead.
  • Badass in Distress: Doesn't explain why agents are badass.
  • The Berserker: Example doesn't actually say that agents with Bloodwrath go berserk.

     Off-page ZCE

  • Adaptation Distillation: Rina running away from HQ in a TARDIS happens immediately after she becomes a Time Lady in the cinematic universe. In the source material, there was a gap of five months between the two events.
  • Adaptation-Induced Plot Hole:
  • Composite Character: The Second Aviator of the Cinematic Universe has some aspects of her canon third incarnation, such as wearing a black bomber jacket instead of a brown one and being the version of herself to return from her jaunt in a stolen TARDIS.
  • Decomposite Character: The Suvian known as Rose Potter isn't responsible for the incident that turned Rina into a Time Lady; the culprit is instead an Out of Character Harry Potter. Rose herself shows up in a later film where several agents are looking for a missing spy in her home fic.
  • Lampshade Hanging: The hunt for the Key to Canon being a Whole-Plot Reference to the Key to Time story arc from Doctor Who is lampshaded when the Aviator brings up the similarities in front of a council of Time Lord agents, causing those present to start speculating on whether the PPC is using their technology. The Key to Canon actually is Time Lord technology, being a Time War-era knockoff of the Key to Time.

Darth Vader vs Springtrap (name pending) is a Five Nights at Freddy's/Star Wars crossover Fan Webcomic by Hooded-Mask on Reddit.

The Emperor tasks his apprentice Darth Vader with retrieving a being that mastered a lost Dark power and bringing it to him. It just so happens that this being looks like a decrepit animatronic rabbit...

The first part can be read here.

Darth Vader v. Springtrap part 2

  • Immortality Seeker:
  • Schizo Tech: In a universe where technology such as starships and sentient droids are commonplace, a quiet corner of the galaxy has a run-down pizzeria containing 80s-era animatronics.
  • Villain Cred: Both Vader and Sideous acknowledge the incredibly dark Force presence of Springtrap and that he isn't an ordinary opponent.

Mistaken Identity: ...: The residents of Privet Drive are convinced that Harry is Dudley and vice-versa due to the Dursleys claiming their son is a saint and their nephew a menace, but not specifying their appearances enough to counteract the neighbors drawing their own conclusions based on the boys' behavior. Somebody discovering that "Dudley" is actually Harry after inviting him to tea leads to the neighborhood becoming nicer as a whole towards the Boy-Who-Lived, but still pretending they don't know which child is which around the Dursleys.

Ascended Extra: Edgar started off as one of three dragons of a breed that's unavailable to players and primarily appeared in the context of the auction house and 404 pages. While he still shows up on those pages, he has since received a Bounty of the Elements story focused on him and appeared in the Dustcarve Dig event.

Toptale Comic

  • Adaptational Backstory Change: The incident that led to Chara entering the Dreemurrs' lives is their falling off a cliff rather than into the Ruins. This also happens before the war between humans and monsters rather than an indeterminate amount of time later.
  • Adaptational Location Change: Because the monsters won the war, the fic takes place in the lands surrounding Mt. Ebbot rather than within the mountain.
  • Adaptational Wimp: The 'being of incredible power' Asriel and Chara's souls create is stated to be weaker than expected. This is because due to the circumstances of its creation, it's powered by fragments of their souls that add up to one soul rather than two complete monster and human souls.
  • Adapted Out:
    • While an offhand comment during the Maize Run confirms a garbage dump exists somewhere, the swamp corresponding to Waterfall isn't shown to have one. Since the Mad Dummy fight is in said dump, Frisk never encounters them.
    • Out of Mettaton's four shows from canon, the only one that appears is the cooking show. Frisk’s later interactions with him are either original material or modified from the last confrontation with him.
  • Moving the Goalposts: After Frisk defeats the titular Killer Robot in the "Maize Run With a Killer Robot" segment, Mettaton reveals there are more robots hunting Frisk. One of the mini-Mettatons is seen repainting the show’s sign to read "Maize Run With Killer Robots".
  • Off-Model: There are several inconsistencies involving Mettaton's switch. The most common error is that it’s sometimes absent when his back is visible, but one page of the cooking show has it much lower on his back than it should be. It also lacks the label above it that it has in canon.
  • The Stations of the Canon: While Frisk’s journey follows the same basic structure as in canon, many of the details are altered.
  • Stuff Blowing Up: Mettaton's maize maze is rigged to blow up if Frisk can’t get out in time and has several explosive booby traps. While Frisk manages to escape in time, the maze still explodes at the end, causing popcorn to rain from the sky.
  • Your Days Are Numbered:

LEGO Legends of Chima Online Trope Development

  • Brainwashed and Crazy: There's something here with Persuader Plants and dark tribes green stuff in one questline. A fight with Elida deep in the Stinging Fortress.
  • Death from Above: Falling boulders as an area hazard; may qualify as Guerrilla Boulders.
  • Down the Drain: Ancient Waterworks dungeons
  • Grappling-Hook Pistol: A Grappling Gun is required to traverse some areas via pulling your character to various suspended platforms. (add effects of use in combat)
  • Inexplicable Treasure Chests:
    • Say something about overworld chests here.
    • Enemies have the potential to drop purple chests as loot, which can be opened with gold bricks (or for free with a membership) to reveal...
  • Jungle Japes: Forest of Falling Leaves area is one big jungle.
  • Level-Locked Loot

: In the "A World of Adventure Awaits You" trailer, Laval needs backup in the Forest of Falling Leaves, but all of the Lion soldiers have just been deployed elsewhere in Chima. After confirming that there aren't any trainees or new recruits in their system they can send instead, Longtooth promptly recruits an onlooking bystander to go help Laval.

Some trope about differently sized things taking up more inventory space.

PKMN RN

  • Literal Metaphor: Joyce vents to Janis about having struggled to convince a patient to take antibiotics, commenting "It was like talking to a brick wall!". The next panel reveals that the difficult patient is a Stakataka, a Pokémon that takes the form of a brick wall.
