As one of the most influential FPS series out there, it's no surprise that the Quake series has nods everywhere. Behold!

  • AMID EVIL: The game has a Hub Level (the Gateway of the Ancients) where you select the difficulty and episodes via navigation.
  • Asterix And Obelix XXL 2:
  • Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel!: There's a Legendary-tier Railgun-type Laser called "Longest Yard" with the Flavor Text "Impressive". All of this references Quake III: Arena: "The Longest Yard", also known as q3dm17, is one of the most well-known maps of the game, and "Impressive" is the medal that's earned by hitting two consecutive Railgun shots without missing.
  • Borderlands 3: There's a Legendary tier Assault Rifle manufactured by Torgue called "Try-Bolt" which fires three rockets which explode upon making contact with a surface or an enemy. It's modelled after the Tri-Bolt weapon from Quake Champions.
  • Chasm: The Rift:
    • The game's shotgun resembles the Quake II's Super Shotgun.
    • The Final Boss loosely resembles Quake's Shub Niggurath.
  • Crystal Towers 2: The icon for the Quake spell is a direct reference to the Quake series.
  • Doom (2016):
    • The game borrows the Quad Damage item, complete with name.
    • The Pistol and BFG-9000 act very similarly to Quake II's Blaster and BFG 10K, respectively. The Pistol's visual design also resembles the Dominator pistol from Psycho-Pass.
    • Just as in Quake III: Arena, picking up extra armor that surpasses your default meter will decay over time.
  • DRL:
    • Quake's Shamblers make an appearance, this time, as bosses. And as with Quake, they're resistant to explosives.
    • The Hyperblaster from Quake II and Quake IV makes an appearance.
  • Duke Nukem 3D: E3L4, "L.A. Rumble", has a building that crumbles due to an earthquake looks exactly like the building where id Software's offices are in. While the building crumbles Duke will state "I ain't afraid of no Quake!"
  • Duke Nukem Forever: The Railgun in the First Access Demo looks and sounds suspiciously like the Quake III: Arena railgun.
  • Dungeons of Dredmor:
    • Equipping a helmet based off Quake along with a Doom-like armor gives you a "Realms of the Id" achievement.
    • The Interdimensional Axe is the Quake axe.
  • The Impossible Quiz: Every planet from Question 66 (including the smaller planets scattered around) has a name and a description message when moused over. If you can somehow read them all without having the bomb explode, one of them will say "Stroggos (Beef)".
  • Jazzpunk: One moment has you playing a first-person combat game called "Wedding Qake".
  • Rise of the Reds: One of the ECA Tier-1 techs say "Quad Damage!"
  • Russian Overkill:
    • There is a powerup called the Half-Quad, which doubles your shotguns' damage and makes them emit the unmistakeable Quad Damage sound effect when fired.
    • Picking up a Megafancypantssphere has the same sound effect as a pentagram of protection.
    • The Insta-Funeral uses Quake II's railgun firing sound, albeit rapid-fired. Its secondary fire is a replica of the BFG10k.
  • Saints Row IV: During Matt's rescue mission, Kinzie going through various different commands in order to find the correct one to help The Boss progress serves as a great number of references, one of them being the NOCLIP cheat code.
    • The Borsch's firing sound (and indeed, its firing modes) is the same as the Dark Matter Cannon from Quake 4. The charging sound for the Gurumaster is also lifted from the same source.
  • Team Fortress 2 has the "Original", a rocket launcher for Soldier based on the one seen in the first Quake. Not only does it carry over sound effects from the original game, equipping it will even have it be positioned in the middle of the screen as opposed to the right.
  • ULTRAKILL:
    • If you choose to hold your gun in the "middle", V1 will make Ranger-like grunts when jumping.
    • The URL "DevilMayQuake.com" redirects to the game's Steam store page.
  • Unreal: The multiplayer map DmAriza has the Quake logo shape.
  • Unreal Tournament III: The Greed gametype is inspired in part by Quake III: Team Arena's Harvester gametype.
