  • Amazingly Embarrassing Parents: Try "Amazingly Embarrassing Family!" Whether Carlota is doing her live vlogs or trying to make up Alisa, she gets interrupted by her family's antics.
  • Comical Overreacting: After seeing a cardboard cutout of Alisa being crushed by a falling sandbag, Bobby, believing it to be the real Alisa, starts to cry and does a Skyward Scream.
  • Crazy-Prepared: Not only did Rosa bring tamales for Alisa to eat before showtime, she also brought emergency tamales for her own family to eat just in case.
  • A Day in the Limelight: For Carlota.
  • Did I Just Say That Out Loud?: Maria whispers to Carlos that she used to sneak out and go to concerts. Her conversation is overheard by Rosa, who shouts, "You Are Grounded!!"
  • Hypocritical Humor: Maria tells Carlota that she tried to stop Frida from wearing Alisa's jumpsuit... immediately before it is revealed that Maria herself tried on one of Alisa's other outfits.
  • Malicious Misnaming: Hector refers to Blaze as "Blasé".
  • My God, What Have I Done?: Carlota's reaction to hearing that her family got separated from Blaze and locked in a closet.
  • Ocular Gushers: Bobby's reaction to seeing a cardboard cutout of Alisa being crushed by a sandbag (he thinks it's the real Alisa).
  • Puppy-Dog Eyes: Carlota's entire family shows her these to persuade her to let them go see Alisa with her.
  • Skyward Scream: "IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ME!!!"
  • You Are Grounded!: Rosa says this to Maria upon hearing of the latter's antics.

"Señor Class" contains examples of:

  • Amazingly Embarrassing Parents: Hector puts Ronnie Anne and Carl's social lives at risk due to his habit of embarrassing them both.
  • Back to School: Hector has to attend the same elementary school as Ronnie Anne and Carl due to dropping out as a child.
  • Comedic Sociopathy: Thanks to Hector, Carl's school nickname is "Carl Casa-chonies" because of his choo-choo chonies. Even Sergio takes to calling him that.
  • Cone of Shame: Hector is fitted with one when Carl and Ronnie Anne trick him and Rosa into thinking he, Hector, has head lice.
  • Didn't Think This Through: Carl tries selling week old Tortas to his classmates. Even when Hector reveal that they are old, Carl still insist they are good by eating one himself just to get sick himself.
  • Embarrassing Old Photo: Hector's photo of Ronnie Anne for his family tree is one of her as a baby with a dirty diaper.
  • Gossipy Hens: Hector as usual. This time, he learns from a fellow student that the teacher has a crush on Mr. Suarez, which she denies.
  • I Ate WHAT?!: Carl tries to sell off week-old tortas as fresh tortas. When Hector reveals Carl's ruse, the student who ate hers runs to the nearest restroom to vomit.
  • Jerkass Realization: Ronnie Anne and Carl get like this when they figure out that they are crushing Hector's dreams of finishing school.
  • Malicious Misnaming: When everyone hears about Carl's chonies, they inmediately begin calling him "Carl Casa-chonies", even Sergio thinks is hilarious and often brings up that nickname
  • Noodle Implements: One of Carl's plans involves a net, a burrito, and "a lot of tape."
  • Not So Above It All: Turns out, even Hector thinks Everything's Better With Dinosaurs.
  • Troubled Fetal Position / Still Sucks Thumb: Bobby gets like this when the lobsters go out of control at the mercado.
  • Vomit Discretion Shot: Happens to Carl when he eats one of the week-old tortas.
