Original air date: 3/11/2017 (produced in 2016)

The Krusty Krab moves to SpongeBob's pineapple after a customer is overwhelmed by a Krabby Patty he eats.

"SpongeBob's Place" contains examples of:

  • Bait-and-Switch Comment: When the artist says that the Krabby Patty would make him die, at first you'd assume that he hates Krabby Patties...but then he adds "And go to Heaven!" after his statement.
  • Call-Back:
    • Squidward mentions his abs in his song "I Hate People", implying that he still has his rock-hard abs he received in The Sponge Bob Movie Sponge Out Of Water.
    • Squidward suggests that the Krabby Patty be renamed the 'SpongeBob Patty', a possible reference to "The Krusty Sponge".
  • Compressed Vice: Mr. Krabs' jealousy of SpongeBob's popularity and cooking skills, as he hasn't shown any signs of it in other episodes.
  • Continuity Nod:
    • The Krusty Krab previously moved to SpongeBob's house in "Banned in Bikini Bottom".
    • One of the Krabby Patties that Mr. Krabs makes resembles the Nasty Patty.
    • The concept of customers criticizing a fry cook taking SpongeBob's place for their low-effort cooking has been previously shown in a handful of episodes (e.g. "Hooky", "Suds").
    • When SpongeBob is bored, some objects from older episodes can be visible in the background, such as the Magic Conch Shell, soda drink hat, Eels and Escalators, glove balloon, and a fish hook.
    • As a reference to "Hooky", Harold's sandwich is a fried boot. In "Hooky", Harold complains that his sandwich tastes like a fried boot, and another fish adds that his sandwich is a fried boot.
  • The Diss Track: "I Hate People", of course.
  • Did Not Think This Through: Squidward begins to enjoy being alone in the krusty krab.
  • Dragged into Drag: Gary isn't too happy about SpongeBob giving him a makeover.
  • Emergency Impersonation: To prove to the customers that SpongeBob is in the kitchen, Mr. Krabs disguises himself in a SpongeBob costume and imitates his trademark "I'm ready" chant.
  • Funny Background Event: At the end of the episode, when Mr. Krabs tapes the paper reading "And SpongeBob's Place" to the sign, it actually flies off when SpongeBob jumps off the sign.
  • Getting Crap Past the Radar: Squidward's reprisal of "I Hate People" has him saying "And all the customers can kiss my abs", but it almost sounds like he said "kiss my ass".
  • Green-Eyed Monster: Mr. Krabs becomes jealous of SpongeBob's popularity in making Krabby Patties, since the burgers are supposed to be his recipe. Squidward even calls him out on it.
  • Hates Everyone Equally: Squidward exhibits this in "I Hate People".
  • Lethal Chef: Mr. Krabs, as usual.
  • Replacement Scrappy: In-Universe: Mr. Krabs takes SpongeBob's place as the Krusty Krab fry cook while the latter is running his in-home restaurant business, but the customers criticize the poor quality flavor of the Krabby Patties after realizing that SpongeBob isn't in the kitchen.
  • Right Behind Me: This occurs when Mr. Krabs, SpongeBob and the other customers catch Squidward in the act of singing his musical number about how he hates them.
Squidward: (singing) I Hate SpongeBob, I Hate Krabs! I wish they'd leave the ocean in taxi cabs! And all the customers can kiss my abs! Cause I'm the one and only-
    Mr. Krabs: MR. SQUIDWARD!
(Squidward gulps with an Oh, Crap! look on his face.)
  • Shameful Shrinking: Squidward deflates in embarrassment when everyone laughs at him.
  • Shout-Out: Mr. Krabs tricks SpongeBob into leaving by saying the Krusty Krab needs ghostbusting.
  • Sudden Anatomy:
    • While eating his Krabby Patty, one fish grows a giant, live-action human hand and licks its fingers.
    • While pretending to work at the Krusty Krab, SpongeBob casts Gary in the role of Squidward, complete with big nose.
    • Mr. Krabs sprouts an ear when he says, "I think I hear SpongeBob's hideous laughter coming from the kitchen!"
  • Wingding Eyes: When all the customers leave the Krusty Krab, Mr. Krabs' pupils turn into silhouettes of himself and SpongeBob, with the former pushing the latter out of the way.

It is up to SpongeBob to get Plankton back with Karen after the latter kicks him out of the Chum Bucket.

"Plankton Gets the Boot" contains examples of:

  • Berserk Button: Don't insult Karen's new screensaver by saying it makes her processor look fat. Plankton learnt this the hard way, twice.
  • Big "WHAT?!": Done by Karen whenever Plankton insults her screensaver.
  • Compliment Backfire: When Patrick says he likes Plankton's antennas, Plankton thinks Patrick is insulting him. When SpongeBob tells him otherwise, Plankton says that Patrick is just mocking him.
  • Continuity Nod: When SpongeBob is eating popcorn as he watches the romantic film with Plankton, numerous objects from older episodes are seen in the background (e.g. The Flying Dutchman Board Game, Eels and Escalators, the Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy paddle ball set, a Krusty Krab pizza).
    • When SpongeBob and Plankton are watching the romantic film, colorful balloons spelling the word "Fun" are seen in the background, a reference to the episode of the same name.
  • Costume-Test Montage: At one point, SpongeBob gives Plankton a makeover and tries out several different outfits on him.
  • Disguised in Drag: SpongeBob is required to disguise himself as a female robot and go on a date with Plankton at the Chum Bucket as a means to make Karen jealous. Karen scans SpongeBob and sees through the ruse, but plays along anyway.
  • Everything's Better with Rainbows: Plankton's analyzer displays a rainbow on its screen when it tells Karen it likes her screensaver.
  • Get Out!: What Karen tells Plankton to do when he insults her screensaver. He resists and has to be forcibly jettisoned from the Chum Bucket.
  • Here We Go Again!: Plankton insults Karen's new screensaver once again, which results in Karen beating him up, and throwing him out of the Chum Bucket again.
  • Insult Backfire: When Plankton calls him a "dimwit", Patrick takes it as a compliment.
  • It's the Best Whatever, Ever!: When Plankton decides to stay at SpongeBob's house, SpongeBob says that they will be the "best roommates ever!".
  • Malicious Misnaming: When SpongeBob says that he can't eat the bucket of nuts and bolts, Plankton calls him "SpongeBoob" and tells him not to ruin his plan.
  • Operation: Jealousy: Plankton carries out this plan by disguising SpongeBob as a female robot to win Karen back.
  • Platonic Kissing: Patrick kisses SpongeBob after the latter opens the door for him.
  • Potty Dance: Plankton does one when he needs to use the bathroom.
  • Shout-Out: Karen's screensaver is a reference to a screensaver module included in the After Dark computer software series. It is also a reference to the Windows 1 Screensaver Flying Toasters.
  • Wholesome Crossdresser: SpongeBob dresses in drag after giving Plankton a makeover.
