Ex-agent Odd Todd uses one of Oscar's gadgets, the Flip-Flop-inator, to cause mayhem around town, eventually leading to Olive getting kicked off the Squad, while Oscar tries to get it back.
Tropes:
- Bait-and-Switch: Otto decides to see if Olive is who she says she is by coming up to her, looking her dead in the eyes, and asking her if she's speaking the truth. Olive responds that it is her...before Otto immediately refuses to believe it and orders the Security agents to take her away.
- One also occurs between Ms. O and Oscar in the form of a Bait-and-Switch Comment.
Ms. O: Now, Oscar...Oscar: Ms. O, I know what you're gonna say, and I promise I'll never lose a gadget again.Ms. O: [angry] That's not what I was going to say. What I was going to say is...[Beat]Ms. O: [calmer] You're awesome. - Bond One-Liner: Oscar gives a rather epic one to Odd Todd as soon as the ex-agent is defeated.Oscar: Go home, Todd. Tell your family ya love 'em.
- Borrowed Catchphrase: Olive and Otto recite Ms. O's catchphrase of "Something very odd has happened" in unison with her.Ms. O: You guys are good.
- Cathartic Exhalation: Oscar gives a wheezing exhale the second Odd Todd makes his escape, having been tense for the entirety of the battle.
- Character Development: Following up from last episode, this is the first time where Olive and Odd Todd meet face-to-face in the present day as enemies (last episode notwithstanding). Compared to before, however, Olive is much more no-nonsense when dealing with Todd.
- While overall still being very nerve-wracked, Oscar becomes brave enough to beat Odd Todd in a battle and get the Flip-Flop-inator back, which is only amplified when he gets the upper hand. The nervousness is justified by the fact that Odd Todd is the biggest threat to Odd Squad, and any agent would become intimidated by him when facing off.
- Continuity Nod: A person working at a restaurant having multiple clones of themselves? It's been done before.
- Another code is introduced for the show: Code Crimson, which indicates an unauthorized adult in HQ.
- Dance Party Ending: The episode ends on the agents in Precinct 13579 attending a concert put on by a rock band, who sings "Oscar is Awesome".
- Didn't See That Coming: Odd Todd is genuinely surprised that Oscar, of all people, would come to face him. However, this doesn't set him back, and he's more than willing to take on the scientist in battle.
- Eyedscreen: Used for both Odd Todd and Oscar before they begin battling.
- Evil Has a Bad Sense of Humor: Averted; Odd Todd taunts Polly by telling her not to be so sour, doing his Evil Laugh as the camera cuts to her expression being exactly that.
- Friendship Moment: Olive gives a hug to Oscar as thanks for facing down her old partner and getting back the Flip-Flop-inator so she can be 12 again. It truly is one of the more heartwarming moments of the show, especially considering how terrified Oscar appeared to be when confronting Odd Todd.
- Height Angst: Adult!Olive is far too tall for the kid-sized Headquarters, and it shows — she manages to hit her head on a beam on her way out of the tube lobby, mere seconds after Ms. O warns her.
- Homage: The scene with Odd Todd requesting a meeting with Olive is one to a scene in The Dark Knight where the Joker threatens Batman via a video message.
- "I Am Great!" Song: "Oscar is Awesome", which is a song sung by a rock band as they put on a concert for everyone to celebrate the eponymous scientist's heroic deed. Fittingly for this show, some of the lyrics are nonsensical ("When something is awesome / We'll just call it Oscar!"). Oscar himself even joins in on singing the lyrics at one point.
- I Work Alone: When Odd Todd tells Olive to meet him at Polly Graph's lemonade stand, she begins to leave, only for Otto to stop her and tell her that he's coming with. She straight-out refuses his help, saying that Todd's her old partner and that "this is my fight to fight." Otto doesn't interject any further, but ultimately appears uncomfortable with her decision — something that's amplified by the fact that he's unable to stop Odd Todd himself due to his age (he's 10, and using the Flip-Flop-inator on him would turn him into an infant).
- Kids Versus Adults: Zig-zagged. While Odd Squad has been very accepting of adults with various oddities (since they are, after all, clients of the agents) and are generally amicable with adults who don't have oddities (like Delivery Debbie), Adult!Olive is perceived as a threat and is deemed an "unauthorized" adult. It may be justified due to the fact that Olive is wearing an Investigation outfit and had entered through the tubes; the precinct's headquarters has a set of stairs that agents can take instead, presumably if they have an adult client with them. But it leaves a lot of questions unanswered as to what makes an adult a threat, necessarily — those featured in the Cold Opens of episodes, as well as others like Coach Roberts and Soundcheck, aren't seen as threats at all.
- Let's Get Dangerous!: Oscar is more than willing to stop Odd Todd, since he's 11 and is unaffected by the gadget's effects. He manages to put on a brave front when battling him.
- Letter Motif: Odd Todd's "Todd Squad" has a similar Theme Naming as Odd Squad, only his agents' names (or at least his name, since he's the only member) start with "T". Olive remarks that he can't tack on a T to every single name, as Polly demonstrates with "Tpolly".
- Long Song, Short Scene: "Oscar is Awesome" isn't played in full, and has some of its second verse cut out to make room for a short bit of O'Fynne and Owen conversing. The full song is on the show's album, Stop the Music.
- Luckily, My Shield Will Protect Me: The Security agents that accompany and protect Ms. O and Otto are in full riot gear, complete with shields.
- Me's a Crowd: The Cold Open client has three duplicates of herself that serve as two customers and a waiter at a nearby restaurant. However, it's left ambiguous as to if they're clones or not.
- Mind Reading: Olive is initially believed to do this by O'Fynne when the kid-turned-adult asks her how she would know her name if she wasn't who she says she is.
- Mundane Utility: Odd Todd uses his stolen gadget to flip the numbers in a house address of a woman who was waiting for a pizza order, which goes hand-in-hand with his Troll personality trait.
- My Greatest Failure: Inverted; Ms. O regards Oscar's Flip-Flop-inator as his greatest invention (although that might be because he was using juice boxes as an example when describing how it works).
- Mythology Gag: A rather subtle one — Adult!Olive is shown to be taller than Otto when they stand side by side. The original pilot for the show had Olive taller than Otto, as opposed to the show itself where the heights are inverted.
- Noodle Incident: Ms. O intercepts Olive and Otto as they walk into the bullpen by rappelling down from the ceiling. When asked where she came down from, she responds by saying that it would take her 8 hours just to answer the question.
- No Plans, No Prototype, No Backup: Played with. The Flip-Flop-inator is the only one of its kind; however, since it's in the hands of Odd Todd, the Main 4 have to get it back before he can cause mass destruction with it, hence why Oscar doesn't build a new one.
- No-Sell: Due to his age being 11, Oscar is completely unaffected by the Flip-Flop-inator, which Odd Todd uses to attack. Likewise, the gadget does nothing to the scientist's size-11 pants.
- Oh, Crap!: Otto gets a moment when Olive lets spill about him faking sick in order to skip work and go to the amusement park. Ms. O responds in kind with a Big "WHAT?!".
- Odd Todd gets a monumental one when he sees Oscar's vest, which is covered in magnets.
Odd Todd: Oh no.Oscar: Oh yes. - Out-of-Character Moment: Otto, who is normally known for his Big Eater tendencies, cuts Oscar short from his list about what you can flip with the Flip-Flopper-inator, which is a list of pancakes.
- Overnight Age-Up: Olive becomes 21 years old instead of 12 from Odd Todd's attack.
- Pants-Pulling Prank: Odd Todd attempts to do a variant of this on Oscar with the Flip-Flop-inator. Considering this is a live-action, TV-Y-rated show, however (and the fact that his pants are size 11), it doesn't work.
- Plot Hole: Considering Odd Squad's an organization made up of kids — meaning most of the agents would have ages in the single digits — agents under 10 could have tried to get the gadget back, and presumably be unaffected by the ray, as you can't swap a number with only one digit. And yet, this is never considered or attempted by any of those agents.
- Poverty for Comedy: A sharp-dressed man with a briefcase is shown buying Polly's lemonade for 25 cents. When Odd Todd changes the price to 52 cents by flipping the numbers, the man states that he doesn't have 52 cents to give and gives the lemonade back to Polly.
- The Power of Rock: The agents attend a rock concert in dedication of Oscar at the end of the episode, with the "I Am Great!" Song "Oscar is Awesome".O'Fynne: Are these grownups authorized?Owen: Oh yeah. Authorized to rock!
- Produce Pelting: Oscar hits Odd Todd with 4 tomatoes from his bag of 22.
- Screw This, I'm Outta Here: When Oscar confronts Todd, the woman whose house the latter vandalized retreats back inside.
- Selective Magnetism: Despite having a vest with 99 magnets attached, the Flip-Flop-inator isn't immediately attracted to them until Oscar reveals them and flips a switch. Similarly, only the gadget is pulled into the magnetism and not other objects (like coins on the ground). This may be justified by the fact that Oscar made the vest himself, and he may have modified it to only lock on to the gadget and nothing else.
- Showdown at High Noon: Oscar and Odd Todd's battle is a parody of this.
- Status Quo Is God: Olive is eventually turned back to her 12-year-old self and re-hired back onto Odd Squad.
- They Call Me MISTER Tibbs!: Although the Running Gag of Todd telling others to call him "Odd Todd" belongs to...well, Todd himself, Olive gets in on it as well, as she grimly tells Otto that her former partner goes by "Odd Todd" now.
- Time for Plan B: Or in this case, Plan T — when Olive refuses to join Odd Todd by his side, he has another plan: attack her with the Flip-Flop-inator, making her 21 years old instead of 12. He eventually succeeds and makes his getaway.
- Trust Password: In order to prove her identity to Otto and Ms. O, Adult!Olive repeats various facts about her partner that only she knows, including that he faked sick last week to go to the amusement park. He then becomes convinced that the adult in front of him is Olive after all.
- Turn in Your Badge: Ms. O forces Adult!Olive to do this, since she is currently 21 (an adult) and not 12 (a child). Once Olive turns back to her normal age, Ms. O grants her her badge once again.
- Vague Age: As of this episode, it's averted for Oscar — while his age was left ambiguous before, this episode reveals that he's 11, making him the third-oldest of the Main 4.
- Weaksauce Weakness: Odd Todd is knocked to the ground with a few tomatoes and a loss of grip on the Flip-Flop-inator when Oscar magnetically pulls it back. Realizing he has no other weapons, the ex-agent quickly makes his escape.
- We Can Rule Together: Odd Todd offers for Olive to be by his side to make the world more odd, stating that she can be called "Tolive" if she does. No guesses as to what her response is.

When Polly Graph mysteriously quits her lemonade stand after Odd Todd opens his own, agents Olive and Otto are called in to help.
Tropes:
- Absence of Evidence: Olive attempts to warn a few sharp-dressed business workers about Odd Todd's lemonade and its effect. Odd Todd asks her where her proof is, and Olive refers to a man with a lemon head like Otto's (who had been a customer of Odd Todd's when the partner pair confronted him earlier). The two kids tussle back and forth for a bit, with Odd Todd presenting a graph showing the side effects of people who drink his lemonade while telling Olive that even though there is a picture of a lemonhead under the "lemonhead" section of the graph, who's to say that that one person didn't walk through a lemonhead ray while drinking his lemonade? This manages to win over the business workers, to Olive's annoyance.Olive: You shouldn't find that convincing!
- A Day in the Limelight: An episode that's primarily centered on Polly Graph and her lemonade stand business.
- Berate and Switch: Ms. O does this when Olive and Otto walk into her office.Otto: How're you doing, Ms. O?Ms. O: How am I doing? Are you seriously asking me how I'm doing right now?Otto: Um...yes?Ms. O: I'm good! Thanks for asking.
- Bizarrchitecture: The client in the Cold Open is presumably building a chair. However, the structure itself looks as far from a chair as you can get.Olive: Where are you supposed to sit?
- Big Head Mode: A non video-game example — the side effect of drinking Odd Todd's sour lemonade is enlarging the drinker's head by turning it into a lemon, something that Otto and numerous other customers of Odd Todd's lemonade stand experience firsthand.
- Complaining About Things You Haven't Paid For: Subverted — Otto immediately takes a free sample of Odd Todd's lemonade when offered, much to Olive's chagrin. He doesn't get very far in drinking it, however, before he reacts to how sour it is. Despite the bad taste, he still goes back for another round (and again reacts to the sourness) because "then again, it's free".
- Continuity Nod: Oscar makes a sniffing noise along with his gadget, a Character Tic of his that hasn't been seen since "Bad Luck Bears".
- Olive can fluently understand yet another language, although Lemon seems to be an Odd Squad-exclusive language.
- This isn't the first time neither Olive or Otto have gone to the Mathroom without their partner accompanying them. Funny enough, both episodes have said partner afflicted with some sort of oddity.
- Does This Remind You of Anything?: Olive taking away Otto's free lemonade sample and leading him away is reminiscent of a mother taking away a child's sippy cup, juice box, or some other drink when they've had enough.
- Dragged by the Collar: Olive drags Otto away from Odd Todd's lemonade stand by his sleeve.
- Facial Dialogue: During the scene where Otto drinks a sample of Odd Todd's lemonade, his face contorts
in a way that is arguably one of his most facially-expressive moments to date. - Freeze-Frame Bonus: When Otto tries Odd Todd's lemonade, there's a blink-and-you'll-miss-it reaction from Odd Todd on the far left as he shakes his head and watches the entire thing go down with glee.
- Gag Haircut: The Cold Open client's haircut is one that he particularly doesn't like. Judging from their reactions, Olive and Otto don't like it either.
- Here We Go Again!: While everyone else affected by Odd Todd's lemonade is cured of their Big Head Mode, Otto — who had a lemon head like the others and was cured — shows up at Polly's reopened lemonade stand with a pickle head, as he drank some of Odd Todd's pickle juice.
- I Call It "Vera": A food variant; Odd Todd names his sandwiches before he eats them.
- I'm a Humanitarian:Subverted — Odd Todd states that he ate Polly Graph before explaining that he meant his sandwich, which is named Polly.
- Instantly Proven Wrong: When offered a free sample of Odd Todd's lemonade, Olive tells him that there's no way she nor Otto would drink anything offered by him. In the middle of her sentence, the ex-agent motions to Otto, who already has a cup of the drink in his hand.
- Lies, Damned Lies, and Statistics: Odd Todd uses fake, manipulative graphs with no clear labeling in order to drive Polly out of business. It ends up succeeding for a time until Olive exposes him.
- No Sense of Personal Space: Oscar gets a little too close to Olive with his gadget when inspecting the graphs, much to her annoyance as she jumps a little in surprise and puts on an upset face expression.
- Rule of Three: Olive and Otto gasp three times as Ms. O explains the situation to them, and she calls them out on it when she tells them they need to find out what happened and gasp in response.Ms. O: Why is that so surprising?Olive: I think we just got used to gasping.
- Saying Sound Effects Out Loud: Oscar sniffs along with the Truth-Sniffer-inator when examining Polly's graphs.
- Serious Business: This episode reveals that Polly takes selling lemonade very seriously, treating it like a legitimate business and calling herself an honorable lemonade salesperson who was forced to quit due to Odd Todd's deceptive business practices.
- Speaks Fluent Animal: Polly is learning how to speak pigeon, and by the end of the episode, she is able to use her skills to send a flock of pigeons over to attack Odd Todd.
- Suddenly Fluent in Gibberish: Olive is fluent in the language of Lemon, and is able to understand Otto perfectly despite him speaking in muffled "meep" noises. It's also implied that she's fluent in Pickle, as well.
- This Cannot Be!: A heroic variant occurs when Oscar's findings reveal that the information on the graphs given to Polly by Odd Todd is true.
- Villain Has a Point: Odd Todd informs Olive and Otto that Polly quit her lemonade stand business. Otto remarks that she would never do that, before Odd Todd tells them to ask her themselves. As it turns out, he's right — Polly did quit, but the reasoning is traced back to him.
- Villainous Breakdown: It's downplayed, but Odd Todd is shown losing his normal Smug Snake demeanor as Polly Graph and Olive snuff out his false graphs. He manages to redeem himself slightly by resorting to selling other drinks with odd side effects (like his pickle juice), but Polly is quick to send her pigeons down to defeat him.
- Visual Pun: Oscar has a Truth-Sniffer-inator that is able to sniff out false information on graphs. The gadget has a large nose attached to the front of it.
- We Will Meet Again: Odd Todd is chased away from his stand by a flock of pigeons at Polly's behest, and shouts "I'll be back! You'll see!" as he takes off.
- Workaholic: Polly is revealed to be this, having never missed a day in running her lemonade stand in her life up until she was run out of business.
