Now loading tropes:

  • Brief Accent Imitation: Numbuh 4 briefly pulls of Numbuh 1's British accent when attempting to pass off as him to convince Lizzie to leave.
  • Continuity Cavalcade: Being the penultimate episode of Season 1, this one pulls out all the stops:
    • The Big Badolescent ("C.A.K.E.D."), the Toiletnator ("N.O.-P.O.W.U.H."), Stickybeard ("P.I.R.A.T.E."), Professor XXXL ("A.R.C.T.I.C."), the Common Cold ("T.O.M.M.Y."), and Lizzie all return. Keep in mind, up until this point, only the Delightful Children had been established as any kind of recurring villain.
    • Wally is also forced to dig his Numbuh 1 getup ("C.A.N.N.O.N.") back out to distract Lizzie.
    • When Lizzie falls for the aforementioned getup, she gleefully drags Wally off to The Point.
  • Chekhov's Gun: When Stickybeard shows up looking for trouble, the Skunky Scout candy Laura Limpin "convinced" the operatives to buy comes in handy to keep him quiet.
  • Covered in Kisses: What happens to Wally when he’s forced to pose as Numbuh One and go on a date with Lizzie.
  • Dope Slap: When Numbuh Four still doesn't get the message when Numbuh Five tells him to "go get Numbuh One", she whacks him on the head with her fist to get him to do the job.
  • Exhausted Eye Bags: Numbuh 1 has them in the beginning of the episode due being up for six days working on the security system he designed, until Numbuh 5 puts him to bed.
  • Girl Scouts Are Evil: When Laura Limpin shows up peddling Skunky Scout candy, Numbuh 3 says "No thanks!" and shuts the door in her face. Unfortunately, this results in her becoming the Big Badolescent who "insists" the operatives purchase her candy. When Numbuh 5 tries to placate her by saying they'd buy a box, she angrily yells "ONE BOX?!". Numbuh 5 and the others end up having buy a gigantic pile of boxes in order to calm her down.
  • Go-Karting with Bowser: While earlier episode brushed on it, this episode is what establishes that the KND's Friendly enough with most (most) of their Rogues Gallery to allow an impromptu sleepover at the treehouse if needs must.
  • Harmless Villain: Zig-Zagged with the Toiletnator. While he's easily fought off by the treehouse's defense system at first, he eventually gets in through the plumbing; moreover, he seems to be the only villain that means Numbuh 1 actual physical harm, meaning the kids can't just scold him into keeping quiet.
  • Irony: Sector V (mainly Numbuh 5) spends the entire episode running themselves ragged trying to make sure Numbuh 1 doesn't wake up before his early morning trip to Moon Base. At the end, Numbuh 1 makes his speech at Moon Base, saying he invented the security system (one of the things that almost woke him up) so his team members could sleep well at night. The irony is not lost on Numbuh 5, who bitterly tells the television broadcasting the speech "Ah shut up!"
  • Paper-Thin Disguise: To get Lizzie to let Numbuh 1 gets some much needed rest, Numbuh 4 dresses up as him so Lizzie will go on date with Numbuh 4 instead. She buys it, despite Numbuh 4 being shorter than Numbuh 1.
  • Rage Breaking Point: Numbuh 5 reaches it when, after EVERYTHING the team had been through throughout the night and EVERYTHING they did so as to prevent Numbuh 1 from waking up, he finally wakes up when Numbuh 5 briefly celebrates their victory, and grumpily yells at her for making noise. Cue Numbuh 5 letting out a MASSIVE scream of frustration.
  • Skyward Scream: Numbuh 5 does this out of frustration after Numbuh 1 wakes up after having slept through literally every other sound made that night!
  • The Snack Is More Interesting: When Stickybeard shows up for revenge, he is quickly distracted by the Skunky Scout candy the team was forced to buy. He is allowed gorge on it, provided he does so quietly.
  • This Is Gonna Suck: Numbuh 5 when she realizes that Numbuh 3 just (idiotically) shut the door on Laura Limpkin, the Big Badolescent.
  • Unwitting Instigator of Doom: Numbuh 5 putting Numbuh 1 to bed before he could turn the security system back on, as he is the one who knows the access code, causes the Treehouse to be left defenseless without for the night.
  • Villains Out Shopping: Referenced. When Stickybeard shows up, Numbuh 5 asks why he had to come tonight for a showdown. He explains that he bowls on Thursdays.
  • Yank the Dog's Chain: Professor XXXL makes the perfect snow-cone... only for Numbuh 5 to sacrifice it stopping the Toiletnator before anyone can have a taste.
