Davey: Will you shut it?! I mean the last thing I need right now is an 'ysterical tart!
Dorien: "Tart"?!
Davey Cooper seconds before being bitten by an enraged Dorien Green.

  • Date First Aired: 27/12/1997

Tracey and Sharon have gotten new jobs at a casino, where they take place in a publicity stunt where Sharon appears to win £1,000,000. However, the sisters are unaware that this scheme is all a ploy by Davey Cooper, the corrupt casino broker, who is working with D.I. Trevor Fearnley, a Crooked Cop. Davey's plan is for Tracey and Sharon to be arrested as thieves whilst he keeps the million to himself. Tracey and Sharon are forced to go on the run, with help from their cousin Dawn, on her wedding day. This culminates in a chase where the sisters and Dorien, who has a (sexual) history of her own with Davey become hostages, but manage to clear their names and put Davey away.

Tropes In This Episode:

  • Action Girl: Dawn commandeers Ivor's motorbike to try and rescue Tracey and Sharon from D.I. Fearnley.
  • All There in the Script: Paul Viragh's character is only named "Terry" by the end credits.
  • Big "SHUT UP!": Davey yells at a hysterical Dorien to "shut it", before calling her a tart, pissing her off so much that she bites him and makes him drop his gun.
  • Call-Back: When Sharon offers to drive to save Dorien's life, Tracey takes over reminding Sharon that she can't drive.
  • Christmas Episode: The seventh in total, although the plot has nothing to do with Christmas.
  • Coincidental Broadcast: Tracey and Sharon return home just in time to see them being accused of robbing the casino on the news.
  • Comically Missing the Point:
    • When the sisters decide to hide out at Dawn's before her wedding, Tracey is more concerned that they haven't gotten her a wedding present than the fact that their lives are on the line.
    • When Dorien uses her lipstick to write "HELP" on a bedsheet to try and get someone to save her from Davey, she mutters to herself about what a waste it is.
    • When the girls are all being held captive by Davey, they spend more time fighting with each other than worrying about their lives - Dorien and Sharon because Sharon got her roped into this mess, Tracey and Sharon because Sharon was sleeping with Roger behind her back and both Sharon and Dorien against Tracey when she accidentally reveals Dawn's secret plan.
  • Crooked Cop: D.I. Fearnley, who helps Davey try to have Tracey and Sharon silenced to tie up loose ends in his plot.
  • Dirty Coward: Dorien is far too willing to stand back and let Davey kill Tracey and Sharon if it gives her the chance to live another day.
  • The Dreaded Toilet Duty: Sharon complains that she is only a toilet cleaner while Tracey gets to be a croupier.
  • Eye Scream: Dorien sprays Davey in the eyes when trying to escape his flat.
  • Gangland Drive-By: Tracey and Sharon narrowly avoid one from Cliff in a disguised post van when trying to escape via their back garden.
  • The Ghost:
    • Lord Woodgate, the owner of the casino.
    • Todd, who is invited to Dawn's wedding.
  • Groin Attack: During her escape attempt, Dorien kicks Cliff in the crotch.
  • Man Bites Man: Dorien bites Davey when he calls her a tart, making him drop his gun and allowing her, Tracey and Sharon to get the jump on him.
  • New Job Episode: Tracey and Sharon get new jobs in a casino, as a croupier and toilet cleaner respectively.
  • Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: If Dorien had never revealed Davey's real name, Tracey and Sharon would've never had to go on the run and none of them would've been in mortal danger.
  • One-Shot Character: Roger Dumonford, Detective Inspector Trevor Fearnley, Davey Cooper, Cliff, Ray, Daniella, Ivor, Wayne, Detective Sergeant Benson and Terry.
  • One-Steve Limit:
  • Only Known by Their Nickname: Dawn's dad's full name is Charles William Lancing, but everyone just calls him Chas.
  • Ooh, Me Accent's Slipping: When the Davey's real identity is revealed, his hitherto RP accent suddenly sounds a lot more Cockney.
  • Pop-Culture Pun Episode Title: The episode's title is a play on Reservoir Dogs.
  • Portmanteau: Tracey and Sharon's new home is now called "Shalentrace".
  • Pretending to Be One's Own Relative: Sharon disguises herself as her cousin Dawn to get past D.I. Fearnley.
  • Rhymes on a Dime: When Dorien asks Sharon if she's had sex with Roger, Sharon replies "Too right, first night".
  • Serial Spouse: Davey has three ex-wives he doesn't like to think about.
  • Shout-Out:
    • Tracey meets the Duchess of Kent at the casino.
    • Sharon complains that her new dress looked better on Naomi Campbell.
    • Sharon sings "I Got You" by James Brown when getting ready and after returning from the disco.
    • Chas calls Tracey and Sharon "Bonnie and Clyde".
    • Davey calls Cliff "Postman Pat".
    • Davey makes Ray give him his VHS of The Godfather.
    • When all the different police squads arrive at Davey's hideout and try to work out what's going on, the anti-terrorist officer compares it to The Krypton Factor.
  • Slashed Throat: When asking Davey how he'll kill her, one of the ideas Dorien asks about is if he'll slit her throat.
  • Speak in Unison:
    • When Dorien asks where the biscuits are, both Tracey and Sharon respond "I'm on a diet".
    • When Roger ask if the sisters are available for a drink after work this evening, both Tracey and Sharon reply "Oh yeah".
    • When Roger tells them to help themselves to a drink, Tracey and Sharon reply "Alright Roger".
    • Tracey and Sharon also do so when Davey reunites with Dorien.
      Davey: Dorien Kapper!
      Tracey/Sharon: The Chigwell slapper.
    • When Roger says goodnight to Tracey and Sharon, they both say "Night, Roger".
  • Special Guest: Christopher Ellison as Davey Cooper.
  • Status Quo Is God: Tracey and Sharon both lose their casino jobs after Davey is arrested.
  • Suddenly Shouting: Dorien goes from sweet to screaming when trying to get Davey to let her live.
  • Troll: Chas bangs on the door and pretends to be a police officer when he knows that Tracey and Sharon are on the run just to scare them.
  • With Friends Like These...:
    • To try and save her own skin, Dorien disregards Tracey and Sharon as mere neighbours when Davey asks if she'll care that he killed them.
    • When Davey points a gun at Dorien and asks if anyone wants to see her in a bodybag, Sharon tells him to get back to her on that.
