Blackarachnia leaves the Maximals when she believes they plan on removing her Predacon programming. However, she soon finds herself hunted down by Dinobot II.

- Armor-Piercing Question: Rattrap chastises Silverbolt for trusting Blackarachnia despite her being a Predacon, which prompts Silverbolt to ask if he trusted Dinobot even though he was a Predacon too. Rattrap begrudgingly admits that he did and agrees to cover for Silverbolt while he searches for Blackarachnia.
- Batman Gambit: Blackarachnia shoots Silverbolt to keep Dinobot II from focusing on him.
- Butt-Monkey: Even in Rattrap's video game, poor Waspinator is a Mook.
- Crazy-Prepared: Dinobot II apparently was waiting in front of the Ark just in case Blackarachnia would have disagreements with the Maximals and get out of the base. This is exactly what ends up happening.

- Evil Cannot Comprehend Good: Blackarachnia bolts because she thinks Optimus and Rhinox would forcibly reprogram her. She's stunned to find she actually has a choice in the matter.
- Exactly What I Aimed At: Blackarachnia attempts this by shooting a tree behind Dinobot II, hoping to have it fall on him. Dinobot II sees it coming and steps sideways to avoid the tree.Blackarachnia: ... Uh-oh.
- Hoist by His Own Petard: Silverbolt uses Dinobot II's own hologram projector to lure him over the side of a cliff.
- I Take Offense to That Last One: Dinobot II mocks Blackarachnia by referring to her as a cowardly Maximal. She is fine with being called a coward, but takes offense in being called a Maximal.
- Last-Second Word Swap: Realizing it's something she would take in offence, Silverbolt switches from saying the Maximal's think of Blackarachnia as "one of us" to "as a part of the team", mid-sentence.
- Not Quite Dead: When Dinobot II is about to extract the Ark's Codes from her head, Blackarachnia finally manages to get a solid shot on him, seemingly putting him out of commission. Then we finds out the bit of Rampage's Spark grants him a Healing Factor.
- Power of Trust: The major theme. Blackarachnia is annoyed over the others' lack of trust towards her and leaves when she feels threatened. Conversely, Silverbolt is certain that Blackarachnia is trustworthy, though he questions her intentions after she shoots him. It's also mentioned how Rattrap trusted the original Dinobot on occasion, though he insists he regretted it more than once.
- Shoot the Hostage: Dinobot II threatens to kill Silverbolt if Blackarachnia doesn't hand over the access codes to the Ark, but she simply shoots Silverbolt, stating this matter is between Predacons.
- Shout-Out: Rattrap is seen playing a fighting game that resembles Street Fighter, just with Optimus and Megatron as playable characters. Later on, he's playing a first-person shooter that resembles Doom with Waspinator acting as Mooks in the game.
- Sincerity Mode: Any question about the sincerity of Blackarchnia's Shoot the Hostage ploy is eliminated by how genuinely hurt she sounds by Silverbolt's doubt in her after overhearing her We Can Rule Together pitch to Dinobot.
- Surprisingly Realistic Outcome: Blackarachnia headbutts Silverbolt hard enough to knock him out... and then she falls unconscious a few seconds later. It doesn't matter who's on the receiving end, trauma from headbutts go both ways.
- Underestimating Badassery: Blackarachnia is happy to find out Dinobot II is after her and decides to stalk him, seeing it as a great opportunity to let off some steam. She quickly finds out he is way more cunning and dangerous than she expected.
- Undying Loyalty: Blackarachnia learns the hard way that Dinobot II is this to Megatron when she proposes a phoney secret alliance. He just shoots her.
- We Can Rule Together: Blackarachnia tries to stall Dinobot II by suggesting they form an alliance and overthrow Megatron. Dinobot II refuses to turn against Megatron and blasts her with his Eye Beams.
