• Not from the series itself, but "being lancer is suffering" certainly applies here. Kanade, Hibiki, and Maria, meets Cu Chulainn, Diarmuid, and Kyoko.
  • Being Tsubasa is suffering. ^Explanation Relating to the above meme, it's a common joke from fans to point out that nearly any time Tsubasa's the focus of an episode, she's bound to go through some sort of angst. It gets to the point where fans consider her a Cosmic Plaything.
  • Never go to Tsubasa's concerts. ^Explanation In a similar vein, a lot of fans in comment sections are quick to point out how nearly every concert that Tsubasa was part of has been interrupted by an attack of some sort, leading many to wonder why anyone would ever go to them in the first place.
• Can't forget the Fine/fine puns. It's become so wide spread and intense that some people automatically read fine as Fine so long as the subject is Symphogear.
• "Strawberry Jam EVERYWHERE!"^Explanation The fan nickname for copious blood spray, like Hibiki at the start of the first episode, or Kanade's vomiting blood when overdosing on LINKER
• MEGA DETH PARTY!
• Chris exists thanks to Fire Emblem.^Explanation Chris's Relic, Ichaival, actually gets its name from an infamous mistranslation in Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War (due to being erroneously mentioned on the Ullr the Crusader's Japanese Wikipedia page for several years).
• And, to a lesser extent, Hibiki's line from episode 10.◊
• Just a day after the announcement of GX, "a determination to fist" was all over certain Image Boards, including being added onto screencaps like this◊ or this◊.
  • To a lesser extent, people began running with the GX part of the name and began making references to another show with GX in its name.
  • Similarly, an earlier joke, that was even address by one of the staff, was that after Symphogear and Symphogear G, the third installment would be Symphogear Go.
• "The Beef Stroganoff Song" in GX, which comes completely out of nowhere and has nothing to do with the plot. Fans have added reference to the food in various images. The song even took off on Tumblr, as It Makes Just As Much Sense In Context, and gained notoriety for its wildly inaccurate recipe for the titular dish (there's even a line saying you don't have to use beef, which defeats the point of the recipe in the first place). The bit where the song says "the boys don't know" have male fans joking about seeing blank images when people post images of Beef Stroganoff.
  • To a lesser extent, white rice, spaghetti, Neopolitan Ice Cream, and tomatoes have also been popular food items in reference to Hibiki's Trademark Favorite Food, Chris's messy eating in G, the FIS group, and their encounter with the tomato farmer in AXZ, respectively.
  • Doughnuts^note From the infamous moment in the XV concert are a late add to the food themes.
• A meme exists showing a photo each of the food items (Strawberry Jam, Donuts, Rice, Beef Stroganoff, Spaghetti & Meatballs, Neapolitan Ice Cream and Tomatoes) with the caption "You wouldn't understand"
• Carol is a Touhou.
• Among anime bloggers, a common line in regards to Symphogear is any variation of "Fuck the moon!"
• One of the songs on Nana Mizuki's latest album is titled Netsujou no Maria (roughly translated as "Maria of Passion"), and has something of an Intercourse with You vibe. Naturally, fans (especially Maria/Tsubasa shippers) took this and ran with it.
• "Notice me, God-sempai!" ^Explanation In the first season, the reason for Fine's plan was so she could express her love to God.
• DESS! ^Explanation Kirika's Verbal Tic.
• Fist: 1, Reason: 0! ^Explanation The fan translation for the comment made by Kirika after Hibiki punches out the "invincible" giant snake in the second episode of AXZ. The original Japanese text is simply Kirika finishing Shirabe's sentence, but seeing how awkward that would be when translating into English, the translators simply had Shirabe say the original line while Kirika says the above.
• Watch Symphogear. ^Explanation Symphogear is a Cult Classic with a very enthusiastic fanbase, so its fans will often try to get others to watch it. Accordingly, this is a very common comment whenever there's anything related to Symphogear mentioned.
• Maria Cadenzavna Eve, boobs in my mouth please. ^Explanation The general fan reaction when Maria's introduced.
• There are quite a few fandom overlap memes with Kamen Rider.
  • One of the obvious ones is Kenzaki's signature "Tachibana-san" being applied to Hibiki◊.
  • Hibiki's birthday (9/13) also happens to fall on Kaixa Day, so it's quite often to see fanart between the two on that date, despite Hibiki and Kusaka's completely different personalities. This also gets a bit of a Hilarious in Hindsight joke, since Aoi Yūki played the younger version of Mari, Kusaka's target of affection (who also happens to share the same birthday with Hibiki). Needless to say, this one became absolutely hilarious when they announced a collaboration event, and that Hibiki would get a Kaixa-themed Gear. To top it off, Hibiki gets to meet Kusaka himself and he mentions her voice sounds familiar.
  • Many fans compare Maria's Gungnir appearance to Kamen Rider Knight. When Parallel Tsubasa's new card debuted in December 2021, fans started comparing that to Knight Survive.
  • Another joke along the same lines, Shirabe and Tsukuyomi. This led to the natural conclusion.
  • A wholesome one, the idea of Hibiki becoming friends with Riders that are, like her, kindhearted and selfless characters. The frontrunners for this are Yusuke, Eiji and especially Gentaro.
  • Once Parallel Hibiki's new form ("Electric Symphonic Drive") was revealed to be a combination of the purple Elekleid and yellow Gungnir and the design is literally split in half, fans have been comparing it to LunaJoker and NinninComic.
  • And speaking of which, the "LOST SONG" story arc from XDU has been getting many, many comparisons to Kamen Rider Decade, with Parallel Hibiki being compared to Tsukasa Kadoya just as much.
• GUNGNIR DATTO?! ^Explanation Genjuro's said this often enough for the fandom to consider it to be his catchphrase. If there's a way for it to be shoehorned into a conversation, it almost always will be.
• Serena the Alcoholic. ^Explanation Serena's parallel self in XDU's favorite "meal" after training is beer. The fandom completely ran with this the moment the information was revealed.
• Elsa presents. ^Explanation An image of Elsa using alchemy to show where Noble Red has kept Miku hostage has since been used as a substitute for other◊, less serious◊ images.
• Kanade the harem protagonist. ^Explanation Adding onto her chaotic teasing self in fan works, many fans like joking about Kanade being a gigachad that will charm everyone. Several fans joke that if they hadn't killed Kanade in the first episode, the show would've gone in a different direction with her as the harem hero.
• Bas kar bhai. ^Explanation The random Indian/Middle Eastern guys who appear in concert reaction shots apparently have become a meme... in India, as seen here. Apparently it translates as "bro pls stahp".
• Oomfie Kirika. ^Explanation A series of reaction memes where screencaps of Kirika have sentences ending with the word "oomfie." (One of my friends)
• This image of Maria, which is the result of her XDU song "Hadaka ni Natte… Natsu" (which literally translates to "Get Naked… It's Summer"). Jokes where Maria suggests stripping down have become quite commonplace.
• Orcas. ^{Explanation (NSFW)} An certain infamous artwork featuring... well, you know. Because of this, mentioning orcas in one way or another in front of a Symphogear fan tends to give suspicious looks right at you.
• Slava Ukrania! ^Explanation  Maria Cadenzavna Eve, one of the Symphongear heroines, and her younger sister are both born in a war-torn Ukraine in the early 2020s. Since the Russian invasion in 2022, fans tend to point this out and even make images of her supporting the Ukrainian Army.
