Hiiro and one of his Loli's

"Well, I don't care about them. As for myself... I can make do anywhere."
Hiiro

The Unique Cheat of the Man Dragged in by the Four Heroes (Konjiki no Word Master: Yuusha Yonin ni Makikomareta Unique Cheat) is a Japanese web/light novel written by Tomoto Sui. The novels, which are illustrated by Shungo Sumaki, were published from 2014 to 2018 for 13 volumes. The novels also has a manga adaptation drawn by Ozaki Yuusuke, which began serialization in Age Premium and later moved to Dragon Age.

Say hello to Okamura Hiiro, an Ordinary High-School Student who ends up dragged into a fantasy world by being conveniently near four students that were chosen to be Heroes. Arriving in a new and unfamiliar world, these five students are asked by the King and his daughter, the princess to join the war the Humas (Human Kingdom) is having against the Evila (Demon World).

While it seems that everything went well, its made apparent that there's one more person they hadn't been expecting and it turns out that Hiiro isn't one of the chosen heroes, even having a title by the name of Innocent Bystander. Being the sensible person that he is and easily perceiving faults with what the King and Princess have told them (such as being able to go home and conveniently being forgotten in their original world until the Demon King is defeated), decides not to associate himself with the Humas or the Heroes and up and leaves. If that isn't the kicker, it turns out that Hiiro was bestowed Unique Magic that is one of a kind, specifically called Word Magic that allows him to essentially manifest almost anything by writing it. Thus, his adventure in this unfamiliar world begins!

While the manga adapts the light novels' storyline, the original webnovel's plot differs from both.

Beware of unmarked spoilers!

The character sheet is a WIP.

Konijiki no Wordmaster provides examples of:

  • Absurdly Sharp Blade: Hiiro's sword [Thorn Piercer] has ridiculously sharp piercing power, made even more deadly when he writes Extend (延伸) and it stretches several feet.
  • A-Cup Angst: Several of the girls Hiiro meets along his journey have this issue. Though, Hiiro doesn't give a crap if they're heavily endowed or not, he's not interested in them romantically either way.
  • Adventure-Friendly World: Edea (the world the heroes were transferred too) certainly seems to be so as there are adventurers, guilds, and monsters that would incite any otaku's desire to live in this kind of realm. In fact, its exactly because of this attractive setting that the four heroes (excluding Hiiro) immediately joined the King to fight in the war; completely oblivious to how the world actually was.
  • A Form You Are Comfortable With: Due to being of the Humas (Human) race and travelling to other continents that wouldn't take kindly to seeing another race on their homeland, Hiiro often changes his appearance to match the race of the country he's in.
  • Alternate Continuity: Apparently, the light novel and the webnovel take much different routes during the early phases of story. While the setting remains the same, characters that were not seen in one appear in the other and the journey that Hiiro goes through are completely different.
  • Authority Equals Asskicking: The Guild Master, the strongest and most veteran of adventurers, is not only a danger to be fighting against, in times of crisis by law he has equal rank to the King.
  • Awesomeness by Analysis: By using the word Pry (撬), Hiiro has the ability to essentially learn his enemies' current level, experience, skills, and titles in an instant. Its one of the many abilities he has that makes him absolutely broken. As stronger enemies show up however, the word Pry isn't sufficient enough to learn their information and Hiiro theorizes that he'd have to use a word with more letters that has the same meaning, like Judge (法官).
  • Badass and Child Duo: Unsurprising as Hiiro gathers several loli's to his side and has fought alongside most of them, most notably Muir, Lilyn, and Nikki. Lilyn is something of a subversion, since she looks like a child but is far older and stronger than Hiiro when they meet.
  • Battle Butler: Silva, though its hard to really take him seriously due to his eccentric personality and perversity.
  • Berserk Button: For Hiiro, disturbing his peaceful naps/reading times, anyone who tries to control him, and especially someone who doesn't want to pay up on their end of an agreement. Its downplayed though as he doesn't go as berserk as the trope exemplifies.
  • Beyond the Impossible: Hiiro Okamura's Word Magic is a justified case because, as the title says, it is a unique cheat. Things that were long thought impossible in this world are possible for him because he has Wrong Context Magic.
  • Big Damn Heroes: Despite being a person who never acts unless there is profit in it for himself, Hiiro has surprisingly pulled off quite a few number of those. Of course, he always has an ulterior motive before doing so.
  • Brutal Honesty: Hiiro doesn't mince words. Ever. It doesn't matter if you're a Hero, Demon Lord, or a King, he never holds back his words or thoughts. If you're a naive idiot, he will tell you you're being a naive idiot and do so at length.
  • Butt-Monkey: Arnold constantly, mainly due to his perversity and him desperately trying to keep up with Hiiro's ridiculous sense of not giving a shit about anyone but himself.
  • Calling Your Attacks: Because of the nature of his magic, Hiiro only needs to write down what he wants to happen/change so the need for him to actually name techniques and skills is redundant. This aspect of his power is quite troublesome for his enemies as they have absolutely no idea what move he's going to do until its too late.
  • The Chessmaster:
    • From the moment the heroes were summoned, Rudolph had already begun his plan on using them as chess pieces during the eventual war between Humas and Evila. Hiiro immediately found fault with some of the words the king had said and opted himself to leave immediately whereas the four students fell for it hook, line, and sinker. Unfortunately for Rudolph, not recruiting Hiiro to his side at that time would come back to bite him in the ass hundreds of chapters later.
    • Demon King Avaros is even more of a chess master than Rudolph is as he already foresaw Rudolph's plan ahead of time and sent one of his subordinates to betray him the moment he was of no longer use to them.
  • Chick Magnet: Hiiro has gained the feelings of Muir, Mimir, Liliyn, Eonis, Eveam, possibly Kuclear, and others.
  • Child Prodigy: A bountiful of them appear in the story that Hiiro meets at some points on his journey, such as Muir and Nikki.
  • Combat Pragmatist: Painfully aware of how certain fights will play out due to his vast knowledge of literature, Hiiro finishes most of his fights without letting the other party learn of his abilities or allowing them to transform. His battle with Crouch specifically highlighted this where she had been critically injured and Hiiro being who he is, immediately attacked her again when he saw that her body was changing.
  • Crazy-Prepared: After unlocking more abilities of his Word Magic, Hiiro became capable of writing preset words that he could activate immediately, as opposed to having to write them individually each time. It's thanks to this that Hiiro's game breaking power is taken to new heights.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle:
    • Somewhat downplayed since unless he's fighting mooks (where its completely played straight), most of Hiiro's fights don't consist of these despite his power being so ridiculously broken. Because he's still learning the kinks of his weird power, several fights are shown where is actively experimenting with his magic to see if certain things will work or not.
    • Hiiro vs Passion's Three Warriors during the duel between Evila and Gaberuth was undeniably this. He defeated the three of them in mere seconds using perfectly timed words and prediction that left the warriors absolutely powerless. Barid (one of the warriors) had been unable to understand why he only brought two average Evila soldiers with him into the battle and after seeing Hiiro's power first hand, immediately understood that they weren't there to fight; merely to fill in the quota of three vs three.
  • Dawn of an Era: Two; the summoning of the heroes that would change the tide of the war and the eventual alliance between Evila and Gaberuth.
  • Death Glare: Several character are capable of ushering these due to their overwhelming power, such as Lilyn, Marione, and Avaros.
  • Defeat Means Friendship: How Hiiro was able to befriend Camus and win his trust along with his loyalty.
  • Despair Event Horizon: For several characters but Taisha, Chika, Shuri, and Shinobou (the four summoned heroes) receive one of these when they arrive in Evila to demand their surrender....only to find out that a full scale war is taking place. The King had told them that the Humas Kingdom wanted the Evila to surrender and didn't want to engage them. Being the naive optimists that they were, they believed him and were absolutely horrified to find their own soldiers slaughtering the Evila without any intention of using mercy, even towards children. No surprise that afterwards, the four of them were mortified to the point of trembling and close to vomiting since they were accustomed to fighting monsters, and had never before even taken the life of an intelligent being capable of diplomacy.
  • The Dreaded: Among the three nations, certain individuals are held with such respect, admiration, and fear that the idea of them losing is almost unthinkable. Just to quickly name a few, you have Aquinas who is the strongest Evila and Leowald who is the current King of Gaberuth and without a doubt its most powerful combatant.
  • Elite Mook: The SS and SSS Ranked monsters that Crouch can summon from her alternate dimension shadow definitely counts as this. She's been going around and gathering as many monster corpses as she can and having Yuhito (an evil genius) resurrect them as mindless puppets.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: The Evila race are for all intent and purposes supposed to be a demon kingdom that should act and behave in a way befitting their appearance and dominant power and yet, even they are disgusted by the action of the Humas Kingdom during the conference to establish alliance between Evila and Human.
  • Everyone Can See It: It comes as no surprise to Silva or Shamoe that their master Lilyn obviously harbors feelings for Hiiro that she tries to deny by stating that he's her property.
  • Faking the Dead: Turns out that the previous Demon King, Avaros is not actually dead. The contents of how he actually faked his death are still a mystery but it can be assumed that he had outside help.
  • Flight: By writing this word literally (飛行), Hiiro can ascend through the air for a short period of time.
  • Food as Bribe: Hiiro will normally not care about anything that is going on around him, but if someone offers to make him some delicious food he will immediately help.
  • From Nobody to Nightmare: Hiiro was just an average student with a bad attitude when he first arrived in Edea. Several hundreds of chapters later and after thoroughly investigating the limits of his power, he's easily recognized as one of the most dangerous men in the entire world that can fight on par with monsters like Leowald and Aquinas. What's even more astounding is that he became this strong in less than a year from when he was summoned and when his former classmates see how strong he has become (in comparison to their own growth), they're left dumbfounded.
  • Genre Savvy: Due to coming from a world where stuff like adventuring and defeating monsters were commonly seen in games and books, Hiiro (along with the four heroes) is/are far more prepared and resourceful enough than the residents of Edea should be when it comes to understanding how to be adventurer.
  • Green-Eyed Monster: The girls in Hiiro's harem certainly fit the trope, what with them always constantly envious of each other when someone gets Hiiro's attention.
  • Guest-Star Party Member: Hiiro's travels around the world force him continuously switch companions and several members join him until he eventually settles on his true companions.
  • It Can Think: The Unique Monster Red Spider is revealed to be intelligent, such as using a human shield to defend itself.
  • I Was Just Passing Through: Hiiro will often justify his helpful actions as something to this trope.
  • Jerkass Has a Point: While Hiiro not wanting to help two of the heroes who are hiding from monster forces may seem cruel, he legitimately has no reason to help them, especially since they did not bother learning more about the world themselves. When one of them tried guilt tripping him into helping them, even calling him cold towards them, Hiiro threw this back at her when he left the group and not a single of one them tried persuading him to stop, showing that she is only saying this now out of convenience, and that they never had any relation whatsoever. The two were force to concede the point that all of the problems they face were their own fault alone, since they did not bother learning anything about the world outside the blatant lies of the human king.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Hiiro might be aloof and uncaring to anything that doesn't directly involve him, but he will help out if he is given something, even if it's just food.
  • Just Following Orders: Judom Lankaras, retired Guild Master, is disgusted by this concept. Those who walk blindly without questioning are people he cannot trust. For this reason, he trusts Hiiro more than the four "Heroes" who jumped at the chance to play hero.
  • Lady Looks Like a Dude: Beastmen are a Bizarre Sexual Dimorphism where the males look like humanoid animals and females look Little Bit Beastly. Crouch however looks like a humanoid panther but she is female.
  • The Nicknamer: Hiiro rarely if ever calls anyone by their name, usually making up a nickname based on either some Iconic Item they are wearing or some personality type of theirs.
  • Serious Business: Good Food and Books for Hiiro. He is usually completely aloof to everything that's going on around him, but mess with either of those and he gets ticked.
  • Suddenly Shouting: When Vale and Judom Lankaras are having a tense conversation, when Vale mentions the King is grieving about having sacrificed three of his daughters to summon the heroes Judom suddenly yells, "One doesn't grieve over the deaths of one's daughters!!!" and gives a powerful Death Glare.
  • Took a Level in Badass: In a world where your life is on the line against monsters and demons, all of the main and supporting characters are forced to take several leaps and bounds of badass. The four heroes who were summoned to Edea for example went from being normal high school students to being a well balanced and functioning team of adventurers that could take down S Class monsters. Their growth in badass in mainly caused by their Hero titles that granted them bodies that not only had affinities to four different types of magic (even getting two or three is considered amazing), but they're able to rapidly level up in a short period of time. Of course, their growth pales in comparison to Hiiro's.
  • Unwanted Harem: The last thing on Hiiro's mind is having a harem and he certainly never asked for one in the first place. Nevertheless, his heroic acts (even if they're usually done with ulterior motives) are constantly earning him the affection of the opposite sex.
