Lanie's Journey is a serialized story on the TG fiction website Big Closet Top Shelf. The story revolves around a teenager named Landon Evans who is admitted to an all-girls foster home and turned into a girl named Lanie in order to fit in. However, as Lanie gets to know her new roommates, she finds that there's more to her new foster home than what she thinks.

  • Abusive Parents: Landon's father Richard is shown to be abusive. This is revealed to be a contributing factor in Angelina's misandry.
  • Action Survivor: None of the main characters have any combat training, and yet they still manage to defeat all the witches.

  • The Cake Is a Lie: Ruth promises Lanie her new life at Pretty And Pink will be amazing. Which it is...until the truth comes out.
  • The Cavalry: Conner saves Lanie right before Angelina can kill her.
  • The Chase: After Lanie, Rachel, and Jenny escape Pretty And Pink, they become Angelina's targets.
  • Concert Episode: One chapter sees Diana taking Lanie and Rachel to an Olivia Rodrigo concert.
  • The Corrupter: Angelina's goal is to be this to Lanie.
  • Darker and Edgier: Sort of. This is the first of mysteryman's stories to have cussing in it.

  • For Great Justice: Lanie doesn't seem to have much motivation for toppling Pretty And Pink beyond it just being the right thing to do.
  • Gender Bender: Like many stories on Big Closet Top Shelf, Lanie's Journey's premise revolves around this.
  • Girl Posse: Diana has one of these with Penelope and Nicole. That Lanie and Rachel end up joining.
  • The Good Guys Always Win: Despite the odds stacked against them, the protagonists manage to defeat the witches.
  • Herald: When Lanie finds out that all her roommates are changed boys like her, she is prompted to get to the bottom of Pretty And Pink Foster Care.
