- Let's face it. The real reason why we fell in love with these characters, and why we find them to be cute and fluffy (and not just referring to Stitch's physical cuteness and fluffiness either), is because of their genuine love for one another. Lilo and Stitch themselves were troubled individuals before they met each other. Lilo seeing Stitch as a friend and making efforts to understand him causes him to become a compassionate creature, while his very presence as well as his understanding of her in return causes her to be less temperamental. They are both incredibly supportive of each other and do not like it when they separate. Even when they fight, they would end up feeling remorseful for their actions towards the other and are willing to make up for them. Even as, at least in one timeline, adults who have gone their separate ways as a result of a huge misunderstanding, they still have their affections for each other. Lilo and Stitch became one of the greatest pairs of best friends in Disney history as a result of the events of these films and television series because they care about each other so much. That is what ʻohana is all about.
