  Atticus: Chloe, I honestly cannot imagine why you’re acting like the world is going to end if you don’t have an idea immediately.

Pickup / The Library of Flying Books Cat Pt 3

• In contrast to how he acted in the last chapter, Lexi does his best to apologize to Chloe as best as he can. It makes him so Endearingly Dorky.
  • He tries to make food for Chloe — a roast turkey sandwich on hot buttered toast and pineapple juice — but since he doesn't know how to cook, his pages are covered in pineapple pulp and butter.
  Lexi: I brought...food?
  • Lexi hinting to Chloe he wants to have his human form based on her "Create a Crush" character — which, according to the Author Notes, is an expy of Specter. Those who know what that character is like will chuckle at this.
  • Lexi and Chloe decide to dance to the Lobster Quadrille...and Atticus immediately interrupts their fun while slyly mentioning how he knows the romantic inclinations of the two, much to Chloe's embarrassment.
  • Apparently, Lexi had a habit of dragging Chloe away from the stove so she wouldn't get burned.

• In the flashback to The Midnight Car, the Erlking responds to Chloe's insistence that she's not a princess by whipping out a checklist.
  The Erlking: Let’s see... "Wears a dress, has an animal sidekick that talks to you, daddy issues, was kidnapped, cursed, has to hide behind a 'big strong man', and you also have such lovely flowing hair, was that mentioned yet?"
• Chloe doing this Shout-Out to The Owl House:
  Chloe: Do not underestimate me, Erlking. For I am, Chloe of the Vermillion. A proud member of the Red Lotus Trio! [Beat] NOW EAT THIS, SUCKA!!!

Ice Face / The Plush Penguin Car Pt 2

• Lexi is ranting on how he wants revenge on Grace and Simon and is trying to describe how he wants to torture them. Chloe gives him an idea.
  Chloe: Find them, bind them, tie them to a pole to break their fingers to splinters, throw them in a hole until they wake up naked clawing at the ceiling of their graves?
  [Beat]
  Lexi:...was any of that sarcastic?
  • The original line was just as good; Lexi was going to ask Chloe to recite a tale to draw in customers. She would've told the tale of how a boy became so addicted to ice cream that he sold his soul to a demonic ice cream truck.
• Lexi lets Chloe take a taste of a bagel with sea salt chocolate ice cream. Chloe is so into it that she wishes to take another bite. So she leans forward just as Lexi pulls the bagel back, falling flat onto her face against some Rocky Road ice cream.

Wandering Spirit / The Plush Penguin Car Pt 3

• Chloe tries to calm her nerves by stating lyrics that rhyme...she just so happened to chose The Art of Poisoning as the first one. When she's given a request to do something that starts with the alphabet, she obliges...by singing A Gorey Demise.
  Chloe: A is for Amber who drowned in a pool, B is for Billy who was eaten by ghouls, C is for Curt with disease in the brain, D is for Daniel derailed on a train. E is for Erik who was buried alive…
  Black Cherry and Cookies and Cream: AHHHHH!!!!!
• Chloe somehow has a copy of the Ars Goetia on her phone. Just the idea of a ten-year-old girl having a go-to guide to summon demons is hilarious to think about.
• One of the readers stated that Cara pulled off an Ibn Battuta. The author replied with this:
  Cara: Oh boy, looks like it's time for me to go home!
  Trip: [appears]
  Cara:...but first a SIDE TRIP!

The Crayon Car

Bad Dreams / The Crayon Car

• When Chloe gives her name out to Morpho, he momentarily thinks of another Chloé who was on the Train demanding bee-themed furniture for her room. The readers questioned if it was possible for both Chloes to encounter and who would win in a fight, with the author commenting that Cerise would be the victor.
• Chloe telling Atticus of a movie she watched with her mom that was stop-motioned and had three kids meet with an angel that caused her mom to freak out.
  Chloe: Oh, let’s just say my mother was squirming in fear when that angel with the Tragedy mask for a face appeared.
  Atticus: It couldn’t have been bad. What was its name?
  Chloe:: Satan.
  Atticus: ...Oh.
• Chloe, Atticus, and Lexi having a pillow fight, with Chloe tackling Atticus on the bed and tickling him and then Lexi becoming a wave of paper that completely covers the two.
• When Talia asks Parker what would be a good illustration for Chloe being a good horror writer, Parker gives an image of Chloe reading him a story and a thought bubble of her as a witch riding a broomstick. Talia thinks that it'd be easy to do...until Parker adds that the characters in Chloe's story start draining the life energy out of Goh.
  • To make this even funnier, just imagine chibi versions of Revolver, Soulburner and Playmaker (As that's what Chloe called three of the characters in her story) trying to essentially murder a child.

Color Change / The Crayon Car Pt 2

• In a Black Comedy sort of way, Atticus decided to use his names to figure out his "manner of death" from A Gorey Demise, noting that he technically got "shot" (S's rhyme is being shot with a bow) by the cannon that turned him into a Ghom.
• Trip acts utterly confused at all the adventures Ash had gone through, confused at the two times that Ash got possessed (by the King of Pokélantis and by a donut-loving genie) and questioning if the next story Ash would talk about is if he became a ghost once (Which he did in "The Tower of Terror").
• Trip's confusion on how Ash got a Dragonite, mirror the reactions of everyone else who was shocked to see this capture.
  Trip: SINCE WHEN DO YOU GET A DRAGONITE?!
  Ash: Oh, since I helped teach Dragon Dance to him as a Dragonair and then he evolved to save me from falling to my death.

Flower Gift / The Crayon Car Pt 3

• Lexi questioning how Chloe can calmly explain that piercing your ears out would leave you trapped in limbo and asks if she just read a manga about people mutilating themselves (she's referencing Uzumaki).
• Trip's brain breaking down over more of Ash's stories, particularly about Ash-Greninja.
  • In the same vein, Ash says the incident with the Tree of Life was much better than the one with the Mirage Pokémon.
• We learn more about what happened when the Red Lotus Trio got stuck in Goblin Jail: apparently the jail kept playing a song on a phonograph about some person named Dominique by a singing nun and Chloe got so annoyed that she destroyed the phonograph with Cheshire, prompting the three to make a hasty retreat when the inmates started chasing after them.
• It's a sad moment — Ash crying and blaming himself for Chloe disappearing and he's kissing Trip for comfort — but his mother comes in just at that time and drops her groceries at the sight.
  Delia: WHAT THE—-?!!!
• When Chloe tells Atticus that if he ever keeps something secret again, she'll write a story where a corgi king is to be eaten by a hungry demon, Atticus notes that he thought he'd die via trampled by hooves, being frozen or drowning in a pool.
• When earlier author notes mentioned that one of Ash's companions would return, it gave not too subtle hints that it was going to be Serena. The hilarity comes from the fact that Serena was the one who was quite the Ashexual but the story has Ash getting together with Trip. One reader got excited about the confrontation.
  IEPH: And yet I'm the only one here who still wants to see a love triangle between Ash, Trip, and Serena. PLEASE MAKE IT HAPPEN!

• After Parker reads his reimagined version of The Little Match Girl, everyone is looking at him with shock. Pikachu even drops the ketchup bottle in his hands in surprise!
• The show Parker is watching when Trip and Ash cuddle is Firefly Fun House.
• Parker revealed that he and Chloe shipped demons. Two of them being Camio and Stolas.
• Trip and Ash bring back multiple things they experienced with Ash mentioning the embarrassment of having to fight Elisa's Emolga, telling Serena "Iron Tail, Pikachu" and hoping that Bonnie doesn't try to ship her brother with Ash and Trip.
• Ash wins Parker over by regaling him with the tale of how he and Pikachu were once turned into ghosts back in Lavender Town. Parker is completely enraptured, while Trip faints.
• Upon learning that there's a malasada shop, Chloe questions if these donuts are triangle and donut-shaped.
• Chloe tried playing chess with someone who is heavily implied to be Seto Kaiba and utterly lost. Lexi notes how the guy was serious, mentioning the King of Games, and that Atticus reminded him of a similarly colored "dog" back in his home dimension. The only good thing that came from this interaction was that Chloe got a chocolate chess set from it.
• The ending author notes stating that yes, she did make references to Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss in this chapter.

• The chapter may be very short on laughs, there is a funny moment when Parker asks if Serena wants to hear the story of how Ash got possessed by the King of Pokélantis. Serena (who hates anything spooky) goes into a Rapid-Fire "No!", but Parker cheerfully thinks that Serena hasn't heard the story and begins to talk about it in great detail...until Serena faints when it gets to the part of Ash being possessed.
  Talia: Parker!
  Parker: What?! That just means I can tell her everything else when she wakes up!

Arc 2: Run Baby Run

Dark Aura / Ashes and Ghost

Prelude: Dark Aura / Ashes and Ghost (I Feel your Stress)

• Hop's reaction to learning that Ash Ketchum is the Alola League Champion is exactly how Goh reacted.
• As Hop follows Alex to shelter, he questions why he was transported into a fog-covered forest and not a place with blue skies, green grass and a bunch of adorable Yampers. Well, he'll have a lot to talk about when he meets up with Chloe in the future.

The Sacred Line / The Hidden Temple Car (The Hate I Hate Believing)

• Lexi acting as the Only Sane Man between himself, Chloe, and Atticus when they're admiring all the artifacts that were found in The Hidden Temple.
  • Chloe finds the tale of the Royal Toque of Queen Boedica...and proceeds to sing a song about the legendary Celtic queen while fighting Lexi.
  • Atticus tries using the Puppy-Dog Eyes trick on Lexi so he can read the story on some mussels armor^note The Mussel Shell Armor of Apanuugpak and about how a girl with her alligator retrieved it.^Explanation The two contestants in the original show who retrieved the armor were named Amanda and Gator. Lexi does not fall for it at all.
• One of Olmec's questions is for Chloe to recite the rankings of the demons from highest to lowest. After she does so^note Kings, Dukes, Princes, Marquises, Earls, Knights and Presidents, Lexi answers how she knew all that and states that Parker gave her inspiration.
  Chloe: He took the first letters of each rank and made a sentence that goes: "Kids that Dine on Poppies with Milk End up Killed by Poison.”
  Lexi:...How old is your little brother?
  Chloe: Five.
  Lexi: ...I rest my case.
• Then they find themselves in the infamous Shrine of the Silver Monkey.
  Chloe: Hey Lexi, Atticus.
  Lexi: Yeah?
  Chloe: You ever wonder why we’re here?
  Atticus: Oh, that is one of life’s greatest mysteries. Why are we here? Why were we created as we were, with our goal being to help passengers work through their emotional turmoils when each and every car is its own little world of its own? Does One-One have a plan for all of us? Creating us as we are on a perpetually moving train, infinitely creating more and more cars like they were nothing but dreams of a child who has slept for a hundred years? I don’t know, but sometimes I ponder that whenever I think of Tulip.
  [Beat]
  Chloe: ...What? I mean WHY ARE WE HERE FOR THE PAST HOUR OR SO HAVING TROUBLE WITH A STUPID STATUE?!
  Atticus: Well maybe if the head wasn't on backwards we would've been out of here a long time ago.
  (Chloe look at the statue, sees that the head is on backwards and then adjusts it)
• In the King's storeroom, a shadow approaches them:
  Lexi: It looks like a big cat...
  Atticus: What, like a puma?
  Lexi: Yeah, there you go.
  • Chloe calls it a "Chupathingy" and runs for cover...only for it to be an adorable jaguar cub that Lexi just coos over. Then the mother appears.
  • As Atticus and Lexi rest in the Observatory, they can hear Chloe pissed off.
  Chloe: I am Chloe Cerise and I. hate. TEMPLE GUARDS!!!
• Olmec explained that he's been keeping an eye on Grace and Simon in the case he would need them:
  Chloe: To what? Become Temple Guards?
  [Beat]
  Chloe: I'm just joking!
• Olmec gives presents to the Red Lotus Trio: a Pendant of Life for Atticus, a map that showcases Grace and Simon's whereabouts for Lexi, and a cloak that lets Chloe transform into a wolf and gives her Flamethrower as an ability.
  Atticus: May Stinktail and Mustard help us...

The Elephant Teapot Car

Innocent Moon / The Elephant Teapot Car (Can This Be Or Is It?)

• Goh expresses terror at what trial Chloe must be going through...and she's just passing through the Drag Car, walking and posing for a bunch of Denizens. Maybe if Goh had considered it one car earlier...
• Ash muses that Goh probably would prefer not to have their friendship patched up by having him thaw the latter out overnight with his bare hands like he did with Charizard.
• While thinking over everything he knows about Ash, ranging from being the Alola League Champion to having Team Rocket stalk him, the last thing Goh notes he knows about Ash is that his first Pokémon was a Caterpie.

The Day of Night / The Elephant Teapot Car Pt 2 (My Mission is Holy)

• When Chloe, Atticus, and Lexi set up the recording equipment for their broadcast, they learn that it was apparently left by some guy in a polo shirt who shouted "I FOUND A PHANPY!"
• Upon reading their tea leaves, Atticus's cup shows either a turtle or a teacup. Chloe jokes that perhaps one of the obstacles they have to face is seeing how long they can last on a spinning teacup ride without puking.
• One reader compared the author's description of Silent Hill to that of The Prisoner (1967) and proceeded to make dialogue not unlike the one that's on the latter's trope page for Chloe and Walter:
  Chloe: Where am I?
  Walter: In the Fog Car.
  Chloe: What do you want?
  Walter: That would be telling~
  Chloe: Whatever it is, you won't get it!
  Walter: By hook or by crook, we will.
  Chloe: Who are you?
  Walter: Death.
  Chloe: Where's Hop?
  Walter: You are Destiny.
  Chloe: I am not some deity, I am a free person!
  Walter: (insane mocking laughter)
  • To even make it more hilarious, this somehow inspired the reader to actually make such a story.

The Cyan Desert Car

Love Psalm / The Cyan Desert Car (The Missing...The Torture)

• Amelia's Bad "Bad Acting" when she enters The Mall Car and becomes surrounded by Apex children.
  • Toby stating that they have to do something about Amelia since she's "just standing there...menacingly!" Then Amelia points out she's not standing before she races to a wall, performs a backflip then sits down. She's sitting menacingly.

Prisonic Fairytale / The Cyan Desert Car Pt 2 (A State of Isolation)

• This chapter may be the saddest and psychologically traumatizing one so far, but it certainly can make you laugh a little.
• There's something darkly hilarious about how UnChloe's horrific alteration of Pikachu that signals how bad things have gotten is making him like mustard. The fiend! When Pikachu hears of it, you could imagine him doing the Surprised Pikachu Face in response.
  • It's not just limited to that. UnChloe has a tendency to shift between as terrible actions as mind rape and as hilariously disturbing as making Pikachu speak like a human on a dime as happened in the previous chapter, or as petty as hanging up Renji's phone on Goh.
• Yamper sees UnChloe as something covered in black fire and notes that Chloe is not on fire...just as it cuts to Chloe fighting someone named "Walker" while using the powers of her Cloak of Marchosias and Wepwawet.
• After Henry and Walter reveal their true forms — which are so horrifying that everyone minus Azam is begging them to stop — Chloe begs them not to do it until they arrive at the Fog Car. To which Henry quotes a line from Kesha.
  Henry: We can assure you that the party won't start till. you. walk. in.
• Atticus and Amelia have a talk where Atticus states that he hosts plays about the adventures he had with Tulip. Amelia questions if they recreate the scene where "she shoots him in the face". Atticus actually laughs at that.
• Atticus questions if Amelia will take up on Henry and Walter's offer:
  Amelia: Do we have any other choice? If we don’t stop them [The Apex], what’s to say that they’ll suddenly start a hundred-car rampage to find One in order to recreate my actions and send the entire Train into complete chaos. You know: fire and brimstone coming down from the skies! Rivers and seas boiling! Forty years of darkness! Earthquakes, volcanoes, the dead rising from the grave! Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together...mass hysteria!
  Atticus: No, I meant us becoming one solidifed group.
  Amelia:...Oh.
  • The fact that Amelia was apparently into Ghostbusters to remember the entire quote can bring a laugh. The author notes reveal that the movie was one of Alrich's favorites.
• Renji lampshades why the Pokémon League allowed a trainer with a Darkrai and Latios to participate.
• Walter has a deranged sense of humor. For example his use of a Hypno Pendulum on Paul is a bell which he states is soothing...and fans know that bells and Paul are related to the infamous episode of Paul walking away from a battle while Chimchar was being attacked and then releasing the Fire-type.
• In a meta-sort of funny, Lexi doesn't like Walter but here's where the irony settles in: Walter saw Room 302 of an apartment as his mother. Lexi is based off Specter, who saw a tree as his mother.

Walk on Vanity Ruins / The Cyan Desert Car Pt 3 (His Orders, My Brother)

• The Red Lotus Trio once entered a Cabbage Car, where one of the denizens exclaimed, "MY CABBAGES!!!" when Lexi went on a rampage upon reading Goh's Facedex post.
• Trip sends Chloe a list of all the chaos that's been going on in Vermillion City and ends it with "Parker is making Pikachu eat mustard!"
  • Ash telling Chloe that he has a back-up plan...but he keeps repeating "back-up" twenty times in his message, something that Amelia, of all people, noticed.
• In the Fog Car, Alex and Henry have a debate on the difference between a wardrobe and cabinet — as Henry is carrying a large cabinet on his back — to which Henry remarks about a Noodle Incident regarding a tollbooth.
  Alex: S...shut up! We never bring that up again, all right?
  • During the picnic, Walter brings up how Simon is going to dismiss the girl with the donut holer as a threat. When Hop asks what a donut holer is, Walter does a demonstration similar to what The Cat did in "The Beach Car" and tasks Hop to make "Donuts" out of numerous flyers that have the Apex's logo on it before posting them all over Silent Hill.
• One of the bullying tactics Class 5-E did to Chloe was write graffiti on a whiteboard that read "Chloe + Lucifer" with a heart. People online then decided to make fanart of Lucifer asking Chloe (Cerise) what she desired in retaliation.

My Justice For You / The Cyan Desert Car Pt 4 (My Trigger, Your Finger)

• During a hostile confrontation between Simon and The Cat, everyone is glaring at one another and Randall breaks the mood.
  Randall: Oh, staring contest!
• Immediately after learning about the Apex Member dying in the Fog Car and the revelations about Simon's Dark and Troubled Past, the Stunned Silence is interrupted by Frank coming in with chicken fried steak.
  Everyone: 'NOT NOW, FRANK!'
• Oshawott takes a moment to complain about how his wager of Ash getting together with "Anyone but Trip" in the betting pool cost him three Sitrus Berries. Not to mention Ash's reaction to learning just how detailed the betting pool for him was.
  • The effects of UnChloe's World-Healing Wave on Ash? Finally losing his obliviousness to how people are attracted to him. Oh, and Bayleef. Trip takes the time to take a snapshot of Ash's reaction.

She / The Cyan Desert Car Pt 5 (Inside My Head Is Humming)

• Goh is going through nightmare after nightmare of seeing his loved ones die in gruesome ways, but Ash's death has to be both dark and comedic as he bemoans his fate with such melodrama even as Parker is stabbing his innards out with a softball bat. As Ash asks Pikachu and Lucario to carry on his dream, they both start speaking like humans before Ash finally dies.
• Goh notes how his construct UnGoh decides to call himself Zeno. He questions why he would spell it with a 'Z' and Zeno questions why spell "Go" with an "h".
• Throughout the nightmare, Zeno can't stop snacking on something. Bonus points in that he's doing this while he has the guise of Specter. So imagine this stoic white-haired sadist constantly eating and snarking at everything that Goh has to go through like he's watching a B-Movie. The author even admits that she will not stop gushing about him.
• In one scenario where everyone is better off without Goh, Chloe remarks how someone reviewed her collection of short stories as, "The experience and emotions tied to reading Chloe’s work are like witnessing the stillborn birth of a child while simultaneously having the opportunity to see her play in the afterlife on Imax." It gets to the point that even Zeno has to tell Goh that he didn't make it up. Meanwhile, Parker doesn't understand the implications of it and thinks it's a glowing review.
  • Even better? This is an actual thing a published professional reviewer said.
• When Chloe asks in one scenario what is the difference between her father and Goh, Goh answers one is her father and the other is a ten-year-old boy. Zeno slowly raises both of his hands to cover his face.
• Zeno makes Goh go through the scenario of Chloe losing to Ash and the aftermath of it again and again. While most of it is dramatic, one time Goh apparently had Ash and Dragonite throw in the fight, which apparently is shown with Dragonite losing to a simple Tackle from Yamper and Ash and Dragonite becoming overly dramatic from the Curb-Stomp Battle. Needless to say, Chloe could tell what was going on and it didn't work.
• During Zeno's attempt to make things right, Goh is shocked at how enthusiastic Chryssa gets into Chloe's story of the "Specter of the Black Forest" and his friends going off in search of human souls to devour. Professor Cerise doesn't seem frightened by it at all.
• Ash's cathartic battle has Riolu sulking in the background about type matchups.
• Chloe makes a list of all the things that the Train gave her and the last item is that they gave her shawarmas. She plans on going to Vermillion City's best shawarma place after this is over.

Noone love you / The Cyan Desert Car Pt 6 (And In My Darkest Nightmare)

• Turns out that Zeno is living inside Goh's head even after the previous chapter's problems. And his first line is accompanied by Mad Hatter...which has lyrics like "I'm peeling the skin off my face".
  • Zeno warning Parker that he can be...very NAAAUUUUGHTY.
  • Zeno's attire is a cross between Specter and Peter Maximoff.
• Chloe asks Rashid for two things: play some Garbage and to punch her in the face.
  • At the end of the story-festival, Rashid fell asleep face-first into some pillows.
• When Chloe gets an email from her parents, she doesn't want to read it. So Lexi threatens her by eating her churros and hot chocolate to get her to do so. This even continues when her shawarma appears and Lexi and Atticus pull it away so she can be distracted. By the time she finishes the email, she snatches the shawarma and devours it.
• It's coming off during a sad moment but when Lexi asks Chloe how she'd use the Unown, she has a very vivid and dark Imagine Spot which is then cut to her stabbing the desert with her donut holer like how one emperor tried fighting the sea.
• Prior to being scared out of his wits, Parker is overly excited to experience one of his sister's horror stories.

Living In Fear / The Dead Carnival Car (Sometimes I Hear Them Coming)

• Zeno won't stop making remarks to Goh and ends up eating a sushirrito so loud that Goh can hear the crunching noises.
• Upon Ash seeing Bede's Galarian Ponyta, Serena chimes with how it's "SO CUTE!" with heart eyes.
• While Hop being hypnotized is horrifying, he innocently asks for a grape lollipop for snack time. Alex apparently has a bag of lollipops for emergencies and he flips off Walter, who responds by doing a blow kiss while simultaneously giving the soldier the middle finger.
• Chloe vs CarnEvil. Hilarity Ensues.
  • Chloe getting enthusiastic about wielding a gun while Lexi freaks out at the chaos and carnage.
  • Atticus bemoaning the taste of peppermint when he and Chloe crash into a pile of presents escaping the Krampus.
  • In a cartoonish way, Chloe and Atticus defeat the Krampus by lighting up firecrackers and then throwing a bomb at his face.
  • Before Chloe and Amelia enter the Freakshow, Chloe is running around as if she ate sugar shouting, "Girls' Night Out! WHOOOO!!!!" with Amelia questioned if she's always like that. Lexi just states that Amelia should see it when Chloe fights Temple Guards.
  • After fighting Eyeclops, Amelia states that she has a distate for "Shakespeare in the park".

  • Chloe warning Amelia that Deaddy has a vomit attack. Deaddy rips the roof of the play house they were hiding in and starts vomiting all over Amelia (who has her barrier from One-One on her)
  Amelia: You owe me for this, Chloe!
  • Chloe shouting "GOO GOO G'JOOB!" when she gets shotgun shells to fire at Deaddy. Amelia is less than pleased that Chloe would use that line from the countless Beatles songs out there.

  • After Chloe is free from The Organ Man's grip on her hair, she ends it with this One-liner:

  • After the chaos that was the Final Boss, Chloe still wants to try again because the ending was anti-climatic and they didn't really fight Tokkentaker. Naturally, the other members of the Quarto are not willing to do this a second time.

    Chloe: But I don’t think that was the true ending. We didn’t fight Tokkentaker, there was supposed to be an explosion, and really the ending was kinda lame…

• After seeing Lexi and Chloe's makeovers — Lexi is now a kyorinrin and Chloe's hair is styled with blue ink streaks — Atticus briefly whines about what he gets. Amelia obliges with a very tacky 'reboot' paper crown that covers his eyes.
• Grace forces Simon to promise not to break anything before they reach the Apex...Just in time for "The Car Full of Glass Ornaments that Never Ever Stop Loudly Singing Off-key Christmas Carols". Guest-starring Caddicarus as a gang of ornaments presenting the least scary bit of Silent Hill Foreshadowing in the story so far:

  “Ding, Dong, Silent Hill is heeeeeere!
  The deathly screams are riiiiiiiiinging!
  Dogs will bite you up the reeeeeeear!
  The wheechair wheels are spiiiiiining!"

Dreams of Leaving / The Curry Car (The Promise, The Breaking)

• Goh over-reacts to Ash tying with Bea by hugging him tightly, saying it's okay and they can have ice cream to cheer him up. Bea's unsure what's going on but does agree to the ice cream.
• The reason why Chloe needs a new outfit and is dressed up as Fran Bow? An incident involving an ink machine and a lunatic named Alice Angel.
• While Chloe is calling Walter, the other members of the Quarto are fighting a monster known as Walpurgisnacht. All we know about it is that a cannon was fired, Amelia launched Atticus out of a bazooka and Lexi was breathing out daggers at the monster.
  • Chloe snarks about how she wants to thank the person who kidnapped to Henry and calls him "Mr. Sir Henry Mother-of-Furfur". Neither Walter nor Henry seem to get the reference and assumes she's talking about another Lewis Carroll work.^Explanation The main narrator of that tale is called "Mister Sir".
• Amelia stopping Romin and Chloe from having an "angst-off". It gets funnier considering how much angst the former Conductor carries.
• Romin confessing that she is a Lethal Chef. How bad is it? She mistook a dishwasher for a rice cooker.
• Trip didn't keep an eye on Serena and Goh at the dojo because he was distracted by Ash...by his fighting style and the look in his eyes...at how he was focused in fighting Bea.
• Bea dropping her stoic mask over sweets and is shocked to know that Ash met Cynthia. Ash just brings up how Cynthia is very indecisive over sweets.
• Upon learning of Zeno, Trip tries to photograph him. It fails because Zeno isn't a ghost, but a "nightmare therapist".
• When Ash states out loud that he hops Zeno is giving Parker nightmares to pay back for what happened to Goh, Zeno just states aloud that he is. After all, he is....very NAAAAUGGGHTY.
  Goh: What, you can read minds now?
  Zeno: No, just faces.

Memory of the Waters / The Curry Car Pt 2 (Who Are You? I Know You)

• Chloe of the Vermillion is so well-known that the minute she states who she is just to get accessories for a sari, the entire car is spreading the news like wildfire so it turns a simple curry tasting to a full-blown parade and her worshipping her like a goddess. One elderly denizen whom Chloe borrowed a mortar and pestle from has placed it on a pillow as if it was some holy artifact.
  • Atticus and Lexi also have plenty of fans.
• Romin somehow set a tent on fire while cooking curry. Purple fire.
• Upon reading the instructions on how to use her modified duel disk, Romin curses Yuga when she learns that she can only face three opponents at a time...when she and Chloe are ambushed by four guards.
  • Romin and Chloe arguing to the point one of the guards point out that they're standing by.
• Chloe stops a guard by slamming Romin's curry to his face and knocking him out. Instead of retaliating...he resigns to eating the curry as it's sacrilege to waste curry that was offered to you. He gives a nod to Romin at how tasty it is.
• Romin takes out the final guard by activating a Trap that has Prima Guitarna of the Colorful Light block an attack before tapping him on the head with her guitar.

Lives Wasted Away / The Curry Car Pt 3 (Reflection, Conception)

• Atticus, Amelia, and Lexi fight off the Prince's guards: a teddy bear gardener, a bee maid, and a six-armed chef. Hilarity Ensues.
  • The teddy bear gardener (Finny) immediately starts hugging Atticus to death before he decides to play a game of fetch...with a stone statue. Atticus immediately sighs and races off before he gets crushed to death.
  • Against the bee maid (May-rin), Amelia mocks her by reciting a poem..."How doth the little crocodile" from Alice in Wonderland, riling her up to enter the house and get clonked on the head with a vase.
  • Lexi learning from Chloe that flour can actually explode.
• Lusamine's monitor has notes for three different worlds: one for the game world, one for Electric Tale of Pikachu...and one from Pokémon Reset Bloodlines.
  Cross: The others [Green Phantom Queen and Shadymissionary] didn't say I couldn't shamelessly plug myself.
• Ash is not happy to learn that Gladion kept his trip on the Train secret, bringing up canals filled with fondue and a statue of him where people throw orange lilies at his feet. When Gladion brings up the malasada shop there, he pauses as he notices that Mallow is standing across from him, and making her learn that he went into a car she visited long ago.

Le Chat Chalet Car

• Ash's WCS battle is against a Hex Maniac who could give Gladion a run for his chuunbiyou money.
  • Riolu, again, can't get a battle in because the opponent uses Ghost-types.
• The Cat calls the Quarto "Chloe of the Vermillion and her Best Friend Squad."
• The Quarto once had to spend a night in The Pizza Chat Car...having to defend themselves from rabid animatronics.
• After an explosive confrontation with Samantha and an angsty bit of self-reflection, Chloe charges forward to her glorious and horrible destiny in Silent Hill...to the dulcet tones of Caddicarus as the group pass through the Car Full of Glass Ornaments that Never Ever Stop Singing Off Key Christmas Carols.
  • To pump themselves, Amelia suggests they have a Caucus race. So Chloe begins the countdown:
    Chloe: Get ready...set..RUN LIKE ZOMBIES ARE CHASING AFTER YOU! AHHHHH!
    Atticus, Lexi and Amelia: AHHHHHHHH!!!!

Arc 3: In the Darkness

The Fog Car

Different Persons / The Fog Car (The Answer is Drowning)

• Goh learning about all the legendaries that Ash met to the point that his brain essentially stops working. He particularly continues the Running Gag on why Tobias was allowed to use Darkrai and Latios in a Pokémon League.
• In the Safari Zone, Ash and Goh see a Scyther swarm approach so Goh has Ash capture one with a Safari Ball. The winds generated from the Scyther causes Ash to lose the ball and it somehow catches something...a Chansey. And not just a regular Chansey, but a shiny one. Even Zeno has to do a Spit Take at that.
  • Apparently Ash and Misty had a bet about Ash catching a Chansey that he'd get a bike from her. Misty has to do a Spit Take when she reads the text.
• Trip attempts to make heart-shaped chocolate chip cookies. Keyword "Attempt". He somehow failed his first one even though he was using a cookie-cutter.
  • Trip is embarrassed to be wearing an apron covered in hearts. His Pokémon are all laughing at this.

Ordinary Vanity / The Fog Car Pt 2 (The Power, Believing)

• Serena and Trip are shocked to see Ash's shiny Chansey. Trip then reacts:
  Trip: It's a thingy! A fiendish thingy!
  • Ash is getting ready for his date and is confident. Cut to Trip stating he's not ready for this as Serena all but drags him to Vermillion City Park and then hides in a bush to watch them.
• When Chloe learns how she and Grace are similar — in the case of they wanted to have ice cream but no one would join them — she questions if Grace's favorite flavor is mint chocolate chip.
• Hop starts laughing alongside Hazel when she recalls how she met Grace and Simon.
• Simon is angry at how Walter and Henry give Chloe what she wants yet won't reveal anything about Sean or the Apex, telling Paul (who is the one who indirectly caused Sean's death) that he smells like bias.
  Tuba: Actually he smells like lavender and baby powder.
  Simon: Not the point, Tuba!
• Chloe tries to joke that Silent Hill has become interested in smiley balloons instead of fog, rust and blood...no one is buying it.
• Amelia mentioning that she actually investigated Chloe's world (again) and did research on the Reverse World and Giratina, before muttering how annoyed she got when she learned that Giratina is not the god of the Underworld. Apparently Amelia had gotten wind of the fanon that Giratina is the Pokeverse devil and was annoyed to have it confirmed that it wasn't.
• When Chloe tries using her cloak's powers on Hop again, it fails. Hop then innocently boops her on the forehead.
• Toby tries to curse Henry for keeping them in that waiting room...but the music in it drowns out whatever else he's trying to say.

Mr. JOY / The Fog Car Pt 3 (Things That I Can't Remember)

• Atticus faces his worst enemy: a door. He questions why he's the one who has to initiate contact with Hop's Wooloo then remembers that he chose to do it.

Shot Down in Flames / The Fog Car Pt 4 (Don't Fight Me, Ignite Me)

• Alex explaining Alain's ritual designation as Dream and how Henry likes to initiate skin-to-skin contact with the Kalos trainer. Everyone in the area is squicked out at the implications.
  Alex: They cuddle. Henry is a mother hen.
• Amelia muttering how fighting the fire monsters with a shotgun is "CarnEvil Round Two".
  • Bonus points, she got her shotgun from Yahtzee's Firearms.

Behind the Wall of Sleep / The Fog Car Pt 5 (I Walk Inside Your Circle)

• Chloe giving a smirk to Henry and Walter along with twirling hair around her finger.
• Upon seeing his husband covered in scars, Walter questions if his "honey-bear" is doing okay. Henry has no time for the sweet talk.
• Chloe looking in utter disbelief at "Saint" Ash driving away Henry and Walter like he's Gandalf.
• Remember Hop's letter to Ash that signified his descent into delirious madness and horror? Here's how it starts:
  Dear Ass Kissem, you are a big meanie poopyhead and I hate you!
  • Also take note that this is Amelia reading it.
  • After it's read, Dubwool and Corvisquiare are laughing and Hop's only excuse is how he "pleads insanity".
• Chloe looking in shock when Paul recalls how Ash and his Turtwig were swimming in dirt because of the herd of Stantler using hypnosis.
• Amelia getting annoyed at Silent Hill's tendencies to either have locked doors or doors with illogical locks, muttering to herself that she hates the games while trying to open the door that has Tuba and Hazel.

Cradle of Forest / The Fog Car Pt 9 (Your Promise is Broken)

• Chloe can't resist a Call-Back when finally taking down Walter's God form.
  Now eat this, suckah!
• Dubwool smacking Walter's body into the lake. Just imagine the serial killer's body ragdolling into the lake thanks to a fluffy round sheep.
• The Christmas Carol Car makes one more appearance, completely ruining the mood of Grace's farewell with glass ornaments that can't pronounce Wenceslas.

Emergency Exit/The Self-Portrait Car

• On seeing Trip's picture of Ash Ketchum, Alain ribs Hop about his letter one last time while Paul ribs him about sanctifying him...while Portrait-Ash just stares in bewilderment, much like Canon-Ash would at this point.
• The 5-E gift parade is sad, sweet...and trips into the classic awkward scenario when Julie gets Chloe a book she already owns.
• Goh predicts how the next generation comes about with a TV announcer suddenly announcing that the Wumpa Region has teleported into existence with 228 new Pokemon - and also an N. Verted world where every single Pokemon exists with inverted colors. A true completionist's nightmare.
• The remaining members of the Quarto have been given different gifts: Atticus has been offered the hand in marriage of a Cyborg Stilted Fox (among eight other marriage offers), Lexi is now the "Eternal Friend of Waspinator" and Amelia has a coupon book from the Sweet Succubus car for numerous activities ranging from ice cream to other non-family friendly stuff.
  • While Hazel doesn't have any of them, she's surrounded by gifts for Chloe that include softball jerseys, hair accessories and something involving shawarmas.

Other

• Blossoming Thank You by Exotos135 has Amelia beg for One-One to make a denizen-free car and even using Hazel to give Puppy-Dog Eyes to make him change his mind. When One-One refuses to fall for the ruse, Hazel just notes that he was good.
