Arc 1: Nothing and Nowhere

    Run Away / Curry Worries

Run Away / Curry Worries

  • Chloe ultimately lost to Ash, but she and Yamper were able to at least get two hits against Gengar.
  • After having enough of everyone only liking her if she got into Pokémon, Chloe rips apart Ash, Goh, and her dad for being ignorant about her feelings.

The Library of Flying Books Car

Cursed Body / The Library of Flying Books Car Pt 2

  • Chloe Taking the Bullet for Lexi over a kettle of hot water, getting her arm and shoulder burnt in the process. This act brings an immediate end to the fight, as Lexi is horrified at how his intent upon punishing his father got her hurt instead.

Pickup / The Library of Flying Books Cat Pt 3

  • When Lexi starts screaming in Chloe's face again, she doesn't flinch in fear. No, she has Cheshire in her hand, ready to attack him, and glares at him, as if beckoning Lexi to try that again. Even Atticus is shocked to see this side of her.
  • Chloe's homeroom teacher, Miss April, calmly calls out Chloe's classmates on how their bullying is the reason why she left and that they never considered what it felt like to be her, too consumed by envy of what they assumed her life was like.

    The Plush Penguin Car

Hunger Switch / The Plush Penguin Car

  • The adventure in The Midnight Car showcases the Red Lotus Trio coming together in a fight against The Erlking and his hunters. From Atticus going after the hunter who foolishly took his crown, Lexi turning into a gryphon that vomits out origami spiders, and Chloe weaponizing her donut holer, they've proven to be a formidable force.

Ice Face / The Plush Penguin Car Pt 2

  • Trip fought off The Apex with Serperior and Vanilite, along with telling Grace and Simon that karma will bite them hard.
  • After having her classmates mock her, Chloe snaps during a book report presentation and tosses the podium to the ground, causing them to become silent in fear of being her next target. She places the podium back and then tells her classmates in a cold tone of voice about what it feels like to be invisible.
    • Mr. Bradbury proves that there were at least some adults who noticed Chloe's struggles and cared about the girl. He doesn't bat a lash at punishing the whole class, making them stay and write a report about how they behaved in an attempt to make them reflect upon their misdeeds. He also praised Chloe's report, offering a bit of relief.

Wandering Spirit / The Plush Penguin Car Pt 3

  • Trip takes everyone to task for the roles they played in driving Chloe away, calling out the Professor for trying to pin all the blame on Renji. He also spells out that unless they address those problems, then even if Chloe makes it back, she might be driven away again. He especially points out that Ash did absolutely nothing for Chloe even though Ash was ready to lay down his life for everyone else.
  • Atticus calmly tearing Emperor Neopolitan apart, exposing the flaws with how he was running the Penguin Potluck — that the rules he'd set out were actually frustrating for more than just Nico. He directly compares the 'order' he maintained to a classroom where the 'strongest' students bully the weakest while the teacher turns a blind eye. He also subtly threatens, with papers hidden in his crown, that Lexi will be giving the Emperor some nasty paper cuts if he didn't admit his mistakes and start making amends.
  • Caramel somehow survived The Apex by throwing salt in their eyes, which is what they did to her best friend Nico. She then scurried into another car, covered herself in charcoal powder, and hid. While it did lead to the kind denizen who protected her being injured, she decided to tend to his wounds and experiment with charcoal before Trip arrived.

    The Crayon Car

Color Change / The Crayon Car Pt 2

  • After Sara decides to dump paint on Chloe after Chloe's performance in the Talent Show, Chloe decides enough is enough and tackles her bully while beating her with that very same paint can until it looks like she's covered in blood. She then turns to her classmates and threatens to kill them all kinds of dead if they hurt her brother, call her "Monster Lover" or pour paint on her again looking like a demon ready to burn them to a crisp.
    • It ended badly for him, but Parker went to his sister's defense without a second thought, despite being outnumbered by all the older kids.

Flower Gift / The Crayon Car Pt 3

  • Tokio somehow survived an encounter with the Apex after one member struck him with a guitar. He threw woodwind instruments at them until he could clear a path into safety.
  • Chloe's skills at writing apparently got her third place in that writing contest.

Moxie / The Canals of Fondue Car

Moxie / The Canals of Fondue Car

  • Chloe fought off against Zack in the Burial Ground of Blades Car and, while it was unsuccessful, she doesn't show any fear when Zack is ready to slice her head off (instead she focuses on his good qualities, particularly how he keeps his promises). And when Zack is electrocuted via shock collar, Chloe destroys it with her umbrella (the handle being wood), making Zack state that he owes her a debt for this.
    • Lexi attacks Gadreel by becoming a tornado of razor-sharp papers and then compressing them into a large paper disc sharp enough to slice his neck open, giving Zack the opening to slice his head off.
    • Rachel uses her shotgun to strike Gadreel's hand, leaving him open for Lexi's tornado move.
  • Chloe tells the denizens of the Canals of Fondue Car that she's not into Pokémon and if they don't like it, then that's their problem. Not only does she feel more confident about herself, but the denizens are more in awe of her reputation as Chloe of the Vermillion.
  • Professor Cerise and Talia are rightfully angry at all the abuse their daughter has gone through at school, with Talia pointing out that Mr. Pepper's excuse for why Chloe failed her cooking assignment is absolutely on him.
Talia: You [Mr. Pepper] gave my daughter a failing grade because she followed your instructions to the letter? If you wanted her to make ‘her own curry’ then you should’ve said that in the first place. The only reason my daughter is so by the book is because that’s how she was taught, and how she was told to be by everyone else. No one gave her the chance to try something new. No one told her it was okay to try and fail and pick themselves up off the ground. No one told her she was special as she was. No one cared to tell her to take a step forward.
    • Then Professor Cerise points out that this school did not help his daughter at all.
Professor Cerise: Speaking of which What have the other teachers said about Chloe?
Miss April: In PE, she’s shown to be good at softball, but there was an incident when Yeardley tried blocking her path from getting to home base. In Math and Science, she does her work all alone, never with other students. In Art, when everyone has to present their works, whenever she makes remarks, someone states 'Nobody cares', in History, whenever she gets an answer wrong, she’s met with laugh—
Professor Cerise: AND YOU JUST LET THIS ALL CONTINUE INSTEAD OF TELLING THESE LITTLE BRATS TO STOP IT?! Your job is to protect your students, and you failed in that regard! Now my daughter is gone forever because you didn’t comfort her or tell her classmates to stop what they were doing! Didn’t the paint can fiasco teach you anything?
Miss April: I did all I could and requested that every single time this behavior happened, the teacher was to mark it down on their progress reports. I just thought that them innocently asking her about getting into Pokémon was an improvement...
Professor Cerise: How is that an improvement?! You made it seem like that to her, her life is nothing but being with Pokémon! That the only things people care about are those... those creatures! My daughter loves softball and singing and she writes haunting stories, but what did everyone think about? 'Oh, be into Pokémon because we like it!' 'Oh, be into Pokémon because you gotta be like your dad!' BUT DID IT EVER OCCUR TO YOU TO TELL THEM TO SHUT UP?!
  • Parker, Ash, and Trip pull off an Engineered Public Confession on Sara, Yeardley, and the rest of her classmates by tricking them into bragging about their bullying. Each of them also gets to really drive their point home:
    • Parker puts the fear of Arceus into the lot by going after Yeardley with Chloe's softball bat, Silver Night, calling them out on their blatant Moral Myopia and how none of them knew his sister at all, ripping them apart for how they hurt his sister.
    • Ash cheerfully offers to battle anyone who wants to take on the Alola Champion themselves, ripping through their pathetic excuses and forcing them to acknowledge that she treated them better than they did her, even showing Sara some kindness when she gave her lunch once. He also tells Yeardley he didn't save the boy; he just prevented Parker from doing something he'd regret.
Ash: I fought Chloe like you pushed her to and she tried with what limited knowledge she knew, and even attempted to Bite to stop Gengar from casting Shadow Ball, which I don't know if Yamper knows that move or if Chloe was trying to improvise. But she gave it her all. After all, it was your father who told Chloe about Yamper knowing Spark and just because you own a Pokémon, that doesn’t necessarily read 'instant expert' on battling. Heck, I lost six Pokémon Leagues before I became the Alola League Champion.
    Julie: Six Leagues?!
Ash: Yep. The closest I got was fighting Alain in Kalos and becoming runner-up although that ended up being worthless anyway when Lysandre appeared. But anyway, the point is that it's one thing to try something new, but it's another to be able to keep trying after something goes wrong. You all laughed and mocked Chloe for her first official battle and it ended up with her gone far far away. Why are you guys so happy at looking down on someone before they have a chance to grow? All you're doing is telling them that it's worthless to try something, to dream big, to have the future in the palm of your hands. You all did that to Chloe, but did Chloe ever do anything like that to you?
    • Trip records their bragging so that they have video proof of how unrepentant they were, then spells out for them how their reputations are going to be trashed:
Trip: The rumors are going to spread about the damned 5-E, the class that made Chloe the Gone Girl and wished that she never returned. And you know how rumors spread, don't you? That you bullied the daughter of an esteemed Professor out of spite? Oh, and don't think this will be the last time you see me. From now on, once a week until Chloe returns, I'm going to be coming to pick up her homework. This means I'll be able to see how you're doing and whether or not you took this lesson to heart. I'm going to enjoy making my reports on all of you, because all of your lives are works in progress.
    • And Professor Cerise gives some Sarcastic Clapping when the bullies realize their mistake.
Professor Cerise: That's so so sweet. It’s so nice that you thought up some beautiful things about my daughter... if only this was before she ran away from home, when she needed you the most. But once you say or do something, can you undo that action? No, you can't!
    • Miss April and Mr. Bradbury give a good zinger in the end.
Miss April: I hope you're happy with what you did.
Mr. Bradbury: For the three minutes that they insulted Chloe before they realized that it's now on the Internet, they were.
  • Chloe stops Zack and Satou from fighting each other by stating that doing so will make their numbers skyrocket. She then lays out her ground rulers to Zack: teach her how to fight, help them trap the Apex (but not kill Grace/Simon) and to request to be called her real name.
  • Professor Cerise sends all of the bullies' parents a scathing e-mail including the video of their children bragging about their cruelty, sarcastically thanking them for raising such monsters and questioning what they intend to do about the situation.
And to this, let me just say... Thank you.
Thank you for teaching your children that they must belittle those who are different and weird. Thank you for ignoring your children's actions at school and letting them continue with this harassment that led to my daughter running away from home, and not to become a Pokémon Trainer. Thank you for not doing your roles as parents to teach them what it means to be kind to others, whether they be human or Pokémon.
Thank you for raising little monsters.

Intermission: Mold Breaker / You're Not Here

Intermission: Mold Breaker / You're Not Here

  • After some prodding from Lexi, Chloe decides to tell her father and Goh to bug off, that she is safe from them and their expectations, and she will not forgive them for what they did to her.
    • She also tells Goh to make Mr. Pepper eat food with specific berries on them. A close look at the berries shows how much she's insulting her Home Ec teacher.
  • Chloe's bullies finally get their just desserts, chewed out by their parents, forced to apologize via Livestream and both Yeardley and Sara are going to write apology letters — one for every single bad thing they did — and then work for Professor Cerise as "Chloe", meaning they are to sit still and do nothing because Chloe never goes off for research.
"If you want to get into Pokémon so badly and are jealous of what Chloe had, then walk in her shoes and see how long it takes before they wear out from all the walking she had to do to get away from you!”

Arc 2: Run Baby Run

The Sacred Line / The Hidden Temple Car (The Hate I Hate Believing)
  • Parker stands up to protect Jinny from the constant teasing of other children in regards to Feeby, whereas in the anime he stumbled to figure out what to say.
  • Chloe, Lexi, and Atticus working together to obtain the Brass Vessel of King Solomon in the Hidden Temple. Highlights include Atticus leaping over a large jaguar to obtain the object to Chloe fighting off two Temple Guards with Cheshire.
Chloe: I am Chloe Cerise and I. hate. TEMPLE GUARDS!!!
  • According to Olmec, Mallow entered the Hidden Temple Car to retrieve an Applewood Amulet and survived. Take note that Chloe is ten years old and has Atticus and Lexi by her side. Mallow got on the Train when she was five and only had Bounsweet on her.
  • One-One, the Conductor, has tasked a girl with a donut holer, a talking book, and a corgi king to stop the Apex. This is especially big for Chloe who initially didn't believe she was nothing special or important but now has been given this task to end a cult because of her determination to see things through.

     The Elephant Teapot Car

Innocent Moon / The Elephant Teapot Car (Can This Be Or Is It?)

  • Trip suggests that someone should contact Chloe to see if she can investigate what happened to Hop or Alain. Goh is immediately against it, thinking that Chloe can't defend herself.
Goh: She can’t fight! She doesn’t know anything about Pokémon or battling at all. There’s no way she'll make it if one of Ash’s own rivals succumbed.
Professor Cerise: You’re underestimating what she’s capable of.
Goh: Do you know what she’s good at?!
Professor Cerise: Of course I do. I’m her father. But I wished I knew that I could’ve contacted her all this time.
  • Even as Trip is reeling from where Goh slapped him, he brings up this valid point:
Trip: I know that you’re in pain. You’re hurt, but your anger is misdirected. You're not mad at me, you’re mad at yourself. And unless you take time to reflect on that, Chloe might as well be like a Mythical Pokémon running away from those who want to capture it.

The Day of Night / The Elephant Teapot Car Pt 2 (My Mission is Holy)

  • Cerise’s outrage at Goh slandering Chloe online and taking action by having Taila and Parker post photos to defend Chloe and calling Kurune about his behavior, showing that he is NOT going to let his research fellow get away with bad-mouthing his daughter and proving that he does NOT value Goh over Chloe as she fears.
  • The entirety of Chloe’s recorded speech, urging the passengers to stand up to the Apex while revealing the truth about Amelia/The Conductor and telling them that she is trying to atone and to leave her be. She also shows off how she isn't into violence by telling the denizens that while they should defend themselves from the Apex, they shouldn't murder them out of spite as it is shedding more blood than it already has. She, Atticus, and Lexi then do a motivational video through Ava Max's "Kings and Queens" to inspire the Train to get ready for war.

     The Cyan Desert Car

Love Psalm / The Cyan Desert Car (The Missing...The Torture)

  • Amelia uses her role as The Conductor for good against the Apex. Revealing her outrageously high number to the kids makes them more eager to listen to her tales about leaving the Mall Car to find Chloe...so that the plan to trap them and Grace and Simon into a car that is hit with a pulse that has corrupted code in it to fly all the way back to quarantine. Pity that Amelia realized that the corrupted code is Hazel...and that the car for this to happen is The Fog Car...
  • Chloe has gotten numerous allies by her side and rallies a group through "Ready as I'll Ever Be". In fact, she's becoming so well-known that Rashid — who helped save his world from M. Bison — states she's amazing.
  • Professor Cerise gives a Breaking Speech on how Sara and Yeardley were absolutely petty, comparing it to the horror tale "The Bed By the Window" in that all their work for something better caused his daughter to disappear and perhaps traumatize him for the rest of his life and they don't care that he's also a father, only that he's a Professor.

Prisonic Fairytale / The Cyan Desert Car Pt 2 (A State of Isolation)

  • Chryssa and Renji both chew out Parker for being hypocritical (over how he looks down on people who hate horror like how people looked down on Chloe for not liking Pokémon) and that his way of enacting vengeance is more like him being a sadist for the sake of it. Considering how both of them were bystanders in the first Act, this is a big improvement.
  • Yamper stands up against UnChloe, making clear that she is NOT Chloe Cerise and stunning her by catching her in a lie — while she claims that nobody supported or encouraged her after her battle with Ash, he echoes Ash's words of him complimenting how Chloe tried to have Yamper Bite Gengar's arms which managed the seemingly impossible point of catching UnChloe off guard and stunning her. He even No Sells UnChloe's attempting to strike him down with Armor-Piercing Questions, countering them with his honest truths and using Parker's own Black-and-White Morality against him. He almost succeeded in wearing the boy down, if he didn't suggest that Parker build an amusement park for his sister.
  • Somehow Chloe was able to fight down Walker and chew him out for how his desires for heroisms and the actions he committed have clashed. Azam also notes she was willing to defend herself with a flaming donut holer.
  • While the Red Lotus Trio, Amelia, and Rashid are freaking out over Walter and Henry's true forms, Azam calmly tells them to stop what they're doing or he will make them.
  • On a minor note, Ikuo and Kurune finally start becoming parents and ground Goh for that stunt he pulled on Facedex.

Walk On Vanity Ruins / The Cyan Desert Car Pt 3 (His Orders, My Brother)

  • Chloe deciding to take a risk and confess everything to Ash about what she truly wanted and even asks if she can go find an Eevee partner for her own. It is a huge sigh of relief in that she now knows what she wants, isn't afraid of reaching out, and is starting to walk down the path of forgiveness.
  • When Molly finds Mr. Mime, she finds that he had defeated multiple wild Pokémon all by himself and is standing Atop a Mountain of Corpses of them.

My Justice For You/ The Cyan Desert Car Pt 4 (My Trigger, Your Finger)

  • Mr. Bradbury ends up being MVP of the chapter; if he didn't go check up on Miss April, then not only would an innocent teacher end up committing suicide, Parker would've crossed a line and continue hurting more and more people.
  • Professor Cerise punching UnChloe in the face upon learning of Miss April's suicide attempt.
  • Everyone coming together to stop Parker's rampage. With Ash having all of the Pokémon from Professor Oak's lab firing a blow.
    Ash: Ready...aim...NEGOTIATE!!!
  • Chloe takes Lexi's advice to write an email to Parker and words in such a way that tells UnChloe off on how she was The Ditherer and revealing how she has such a juicy story to tell but can't tell it because someone blocked off her attempts to text him. Parker learns that UnChloe had been preventing Chloe from contacting him and this starts the chain of events that brings about the downfall of the Unown.
  • After Chloe is unable to text, Lexi tells Parker off about how everything he did was actually doing more harm to his sister than anyone else and that he's very disappointed and angry at the boy.
  • UnChloe, or rather UnSara, is about to get the last laugh after Parker wishes to send Goh into a nightmare — one that has Goh get his wish of Chloe being as he sees her, and another being Goh who actually was a friend to her — before he requests one more wish: to do good deeds across the city because he realizes that this abomination is just like the real Sara who didn't know when to stop talking to save face.
  • After the Unown are gone, and Parker is blaming everyone for not doing something sooner, no one buys it and states that while they did mess up a lot, he aggravated the situation even more with his actions.

Noone love you / The Cyan Desert Car Pt 6 (And In My Darkest Nightmare)

  • When Ash gets texts from Class 5-E asking for his help to become Trainers, Ash makes it perfectly clear that this does not mean he's forgiven them, and that if they are making him a Meal Ticket and an easy way to get what they want like they did to Chloe, then they should pack up and leave. He also brings up many of the remarks they made to Chloe about how little she knew of battling to remind them how they themselves were too afraid to approach Ash in the first place.
  • Amelia appearing in Azada and does not flinch when Lexi has a paper blade to her throat.
  • During the Cyan Desert Car trip, Titus appeared before Grace and Simon, tearing them down for how heartless they were to bury his son and tells them to get out of his sight with thousands of paper blades ready to cut them up if they don't. As they leave, he gives this zinger to Simon.
Titus: (holding a book of stories) Get a spellcheck next time. You misspelled efficient twice.
  • Paul uses a brief moment of clarity to pull off a surprisingly successful Batman Gambit to trick not only Hop but Walter and Henry into securing some degree of safety for his Pokemon.

Living in Fear / The Dead Carnival Car (Sometimes I Hear Them Coming)
  • Ash versus Bede. Infernape tears Bede's team apart.
  • Trip reveals to Bede that he had Leon listening to everything the white-haired trainer was saying about Hop, and Leon is very ready to fight Bede in a stadium to a humiliating loss.
  • The Red Lotus Quarto aces the CarnEvil challenge, even with the surprise final boss.
    • Against Evil Marie, Chloe uses her cloak to turn into "Marchosias Mode" and has Lexi lure the axe-wielding maniac to the fountain. Then, Lexi makes two sharp buzzsaws to cut off Evil Marie's arms so that she can't defend herself from Chloe's final attack, making her fall into the spire of the fountain.
    • During the fight against Krampus, Chloe and Atticus land into a pile of presents. With some quick thinking, Chloe hands some candy canes to said Krampus long enough for Atticus to attack and maul his face. Then, Chloe lights up numerous firecrackers and a bomb Atticus pulled out of Krampus's sack of presents which they use to send him off.
    Chloe: Merry Christmas to all—
Atticus: And to this place, a fond farewell!
(Chloe tosses a bomb into the air and then swings it towards Krampus via Cheshire, ending in an explosion)
    • Amelia and Chloe mow down the Freakshow level with ease. Against Eyeclops:
    Eyeclops: I am Eyeclops!
Chloe: Thou art toast! (cue bullets)
    • In the final round against Deaddy, Amelia has her own words to say when the giant bear keeps shouting Fort! Da!
Amelia: Oh, you speak my language don't you? Well, how about saying this? Gott ist tot! (fires one more round that causes the bear to stumble and electrocute itself)
    • The final round against Umlaut and the Organ Man is one for Atticus and Chloe. Atticus moves himself so he is in the line of fire between Amelia (whose body movements are controlled by The Organ Man) and Chloe (who has to defend herself against a brainwashed Lexi).
Umlaut: What’s wrong, your highness? All bark and no bite?
Atticus: I am a civil king, and I never like to say anything crass, but I will make this one exception. Because for you, Umlaut... you are a kiss-ass.
(Umlaut charges towards Atticus who ducks at the last minute, colliding with Lexi and ending in the crossfire between Amelia and Chloe)
    • Chloe remembers a blessing she received from the Charioteer in The Cyan Desert Car and uses its power to summon a demon to destroy The Organ Man's contraptions. Cue Amdusias, a unicorn-themed demon of storms and cacophony, saving Amelia and freeing Lexi from the Magic Music.
Chloe: Time to turn this circus into an electric carousel.
    • Then she ends up fighting the Organ Man in a one-on-one fight until he decides to grab her hair and drag her off to the edge. Is this end for Chloe of the Vermillion? Hell no. She still has Lexi's paper bracelet which she signals for him to unfold and turn into a butterfly knife to cut through her hair, rendering the Organ Man unable to protect himself as Chloe gives this one-liner.
Chloe: I got something to shout to you after all this fighting. I GOT BLISTERS ON MY FINGERS!
(kicks The Organ Man in the face, sending him plummeting down)
  • Delia doesn't filter her honest opinions on Parker and Chloe for how their selfishness caused all these problems in the first place and Talia agrees, finally being a parent and sending an email to tell Chloe that she has to stop making excuses and grow up. Chloe, after screaming and taking some deep breaths, admits that this is right and decides to put in some more changes in her: styling what's left of her hair and streaking it blue, and even turning Lexi into a paper dragon. Then, the chapter ends with her writing a new email.
    "Hey dad..."
    • One reader praised the author (and co-authors) for taking the high road on stating how Chloe was also at fault with the communication problems.

    The Curry Car

Memory of the Waters / The Curry Car Pt 2 (Who Are You? I Know You)

  • Romin Kirishima uses her upgraded Guitar Duel Disk to fight off against The Curry Prince's guards, using the Rush Duel mechanics to get both Prima Guitarna and Esperaid to fight off against three guards. In comparison, Chloe was only able to knock out one with her donut holer and smacking curry in his face.
  • Chloe chews out The Curry Prince's spoilt attitude by telling him a Wham Line that reveals his true identity, that of Soma Asman Kadar.

Always On My Mind / Le Chat Chalet Car {Come Forward, I've Seen It)
  • Talia chews out Hilary for not caring about her sons' dreams of being archaeologists and how this "Karen" should be ashamed of herself.
  • The Red Lotus Quarto coordinate an Engineered Public Confession from The Cat, making her fess up as to how she abandoned Simon, let him rampage across the Train as part of the Apex, and never told him that his number was supposed to go down. By the end of it, The Cat is a broken mess and her reputation is now ruined.
    • What cements Chloe to start a tirade of Armor Piercing Questions is The Cat trying to shift the blame on Amelia. Chloe immediately defends Amelia by retorting that The Cat hasn't done anything for the past eight years for Simon. Amelia even adds that she never wanted to be worshipped, she herself was in the dark and at least she is doing all she can to atone for her mistakes.

Arc 3: In The Darkness

    The Fog Car

Different Persons / The Fog Car (The Answer is Drowning)

  • At long last, the Red Lotus Quarto arrives at Silent Hill.
    • When Chloe arrives at the Grand Guignol, she doesn't look afraid at all. She's proud, confident, and ready. Amelia lends support by giving everyone red origami lotus flowers as a sign that they are going through this together.
    • When Chloe looks at Grace and Simon, she just glares at them, no sign of fear at all at the two most vile humans the Train has ever created. Even when Simon starts talking smack about her being a princess, all Chloe has to do is snap her fingers to ignite some candles to make Simon jump in fear.
    • When Simon starts mocking the Unfinished Car, Amelia decides to put him in his place by using her voice modulator to shut him up and then revealing her humongous number.
Amelia: (with the voice modulator) Hello, Grace Monroe and Simon Laurent. I am the Conductor.

Ordinary Vanity / The Fog Car Pt 2 (The Power, Believing)

  • Grace and Simon get called out for their apathy, cruelty, and sociopathic ways of getting their numbers up from Amelia and Chloe.
  • When Simon tries to attack Hop, Alex stops him and pins the Apex co-founder to the ground.

Mr. JOY / The Fog Car Pt 3 (Things That I Can't Remember)

  • Chloe's growth to being more mature is shown in full force. She admits that there were things she should've done to help her parents and Goh understand what was troubling her and refuses to follow Hop's idea to just forget about them and just focus on herself, to the point that she calls him a "spoiled child" Sure it does cause Hop to transform into Delirium, but it takes guts for Chloe to face off what was once her former self.
  • Atticus encounters Wooloo who evolves into Dubwool so he can go save Hop.

Shot Down in Flames / The Fog Car Pt 4 (Don't Fight Me, Ignite Me)

  • Grace, who somehow has a celestial bronze knife in hand, uses it to injure Henry in his demon form. It's enough to freak him out and drive him off. For bonus points while she was slashing Henry he was stabbing her and she walks it off (albeit in a lot of pain and requiring some 'meds' immediately). Grace isn't the leader of the Apex just because she founded it and is older.
    • The same scene mentions she killed a Twilight vampire passenger. Given how hard vampires are to kill in Twilight, and the fact she said it took multiple attempts, this must have taken some serious badassery.
  • Chloe uses her fire powers to combat Delirium and summons Focalor to blow away the fire.
    Delirium: Any last words?
    Chloe: Ffffff....
    Delirium: Don't say anything naughty...
    Chloe: FFFFF...Focalor!
(Focalor emerges and summons a storm to douse the flames)
Delirium: What the f—(gets clonked by Cheshire)
    Chloe: Don't say anything naughty!
  • Chloe fights against Delirium and The Bogeyman by summoning Leraje — a demon based on an archer — and mocks The Bogeyman with the Halo of the Sun that Leraje fires arrows through to incinerate the monsters.
  • Dubwool uses Rollout to attack multiple fire hydrants to weaken the fire monsters. Then he and Corvisquire bodyslam them.
  • Chloe manages to weaken Delirium by stating only two words: "Ash. Ketchum".
  • Dubwool tackles Delirium away from Chloe and tanks every single blow from Delirium's tentacles due to his Fluffy ability.
  • Upon Hop regaining his senses, he uses his powers to wrap The Bogeyman in tentacles and repeatedly bash the beast onto the ground. And when Alex tries to explain himself, Hop shuts him up by wrapping balloon strings around the soldier's neck.
  • Amelia taunts The Bogeyman by showing how low Chloe's number is, stating that Chloe is so close to leaving and heavily derailing the Cage of Flauros. But considering how much she's already done, her leaving would just be a middle finger to Walter and Henry.
    • And earlier, she fires her shotgun at the Bogeyman to distract him long enough for Chloe to get Delirium to calm down. Let us repeat, Amelia is willing to make herself a distraction against Pyramid Head to protect Chloe.
  • Amelia chews Grace out heavily for what she did to the Apex and especially for Hazel. Specifically by putting the Apex mark on Hazel, she basically just painted a huge bull's-eye on her for the Cage of Flauros. Even Grace realizes she has no counter-argument and Lexi and Atticus point out that she knew that this couldn't last forever.
Lexi: Chloe was right, you honestly didn’t think of a scenario where this would go well.

Behind the Wall of Sleep / The Fog Car Pt 5 (I Walk Inside Your Circle)

  • Chloe is not afraid of the humongous dragon that wants to kill her and goads him to head towards the entrance of the Car, effectively derailing Henry and Walter's Cage of Flauros in a big way.
Chloe: (cheerfully waving goodbye) Have fun storming the castle!
  • Chloe isn't the only one derailing the Cage of Flauros, since Dream summons a person who derails it even further: and who could it be other than a saint version of Ash Ketchum?
  • While it's also rather terrifying, seeing Hop transform into Delirium to fight back the apparitions tormenting Dream is nothing short of amazing. Corvisquire gets bonus points for waking Hop out of his Delirium state again, evolving into Corviknight.
    • Hop is the one who wakes Alain from his dream and gets him on the path to redeem himself so he can see Professor Sycamore and Mairin again.
  • Tuba tears down the door to her and Hazel's apartment room as soon as Amelia unlocks it.
  • With a little help from Saint Ash, Chloe manages to get through Despair, pulling Paul back out of the pit of agony he's been put through for so long. And when Walter tries to get him to turn back into Despair, he tells him to go to hell.
Walter: You are DESPAIR, you are a MONSTER, and you will never return to the world you once knew!
Paul: M-maybe...but I'm not your monster.
(summons a storm that rains down on Walter, freezing him in place)

Overdose Delusion / The Fog Car Pt 7 (Your Power is Broken)

  • After Chloe goes in circles again about how she wasn't like other people to become a Trainer, Hop, Paul and Alain help her understand that she has to stop making excuses and that Trainers do not have a romantic and glamorized life as she and others were led to believe. This helps her realize that she had Trainers wrong the entire time and made all that time hating them worthless.
  • When Simon / Destruction goes after Hazel, Tuba pushes her out of the way and gets captured. Chloe herself actually has the courage to hurl a fireball to his face and glare at him.
    • Even when Simon has prevented Chloe from using her powers, Chloe doesn't cry or scream in terror. All she does is spit out that he will die alone.
    • How powerful is Simon as Destruction? He knocks Alain's Charizard out of the sky.
  • Amelia shows how big of a Mama Bear she's become by knocking the Apex brat who stated that Chloe deserved to die over the head and tell them to have some empathy for once. And when the brats are about to kill Hazel, Amelia fires her shotgun and shouts:
Amelia: YOU ARE ALL GOING TO FUCKING DIE RIGHT HERE AND NOW IF YOU TAKE ONE MORE STEP!
  • Amelia and Lexi tear down the Apex's Fantastic Racism and tell them that they are brats who don't care who they kill — human or otherwise — if it just means they have their own way with the world. Atticus even calmly chews them out that they want to use the Pendant of Life to resurrect their friend and leave Chloe, the one who tried saving their goddamn lives, to never return home to her family or friends.
  • What stops Simon in the end? The Phantom aka Sean aka the Apex child he mocked for being weak. It's so satisfying to hear Simon scream and beg for mercy as he drowns in Toluca Lake.

True / The Fog Car Pt 8 (This Pain Will Last Forever)

  • Chloe gives Grace due credit and a much-needed pep-talk for successfully doing everything right with her confession.
  • Amelia continues her Beware the Honest Ones routine by finally getting it through the Apex's heads that all they cared about is their fun, not the fact that they've been separated from their families for years on end and had fun hurting people.
  • Mrs. Turner seeing Ash find the place Goh's being kept at and being unable to do anything but watch as the champion gets closer and closer to unraveling her plan. Even when she takes out her gun and sends everyone into a Hostage Situation, it becomes very clear that her plan's utterly screwed.
  • Even knowing that she has used up her only extra life, Chloe stares down Walter and Henry's demon form without flinching.

Cradle of Forest / The Fog Car Pt 9 (Your Promise is Broken)

  • The final fight with Walter and Henry's boss form is a tour de force of awesome for almost everyone present.
    • Alex killing himself and Henry after plunging him with a spear and shutting him up. Take note that Alex wielded his Great Knife without turning into the Bogeyman, his determination to make amends for his crimes making him become the defender of man he wanted to be.
    • Chloe gets Alain and Paul to use their Pokémon to unleash scratch damage on Walter while she hops on a gryphon Lexi to unleash a Call-Back to the Midnight Car.
Chloe: Step one: Gryphon. Step two: Spinarak breath!
    • As Walter breaks down and chews out how Chloe is nothing, she uses her mark to summon one more demon, Lucifer and gives a Meaningful Echo to a speech she gave back when she fought the Erlking ending it with this immortal phrase:
    Chloe: NOW EAT THIS, SUCKA!
(Lucifer unleashes a Holy Hand Grenade)
    • A subtle hint about how strong this is when you remember what the mark, it doesn't summon demons in one go, they're all based on how Chloe imagines and perceives them. So Lucifer's Holy Hand Grenade is empowered by Chloe's sheer will and determination to fight back the darkness and hate that defined her entire journey.
    • Grace killing Walter before he can kill Chloe with her bronze knife, followed by Dubwool smashing the bastard into the lake personally.
  • Mrs. Turner tries to tempt Ash to leave Goh behind and bring up all of the numerous legendary "sightings" to him...Ash is close to laughing at her face and refuses to surrender to her.
  • Parker using his future vision to get Molly to send a text to Chloe, prompting her to have One-One teleport her to the broom closet Yeardley is about to put his sister in.

Emergency Exit / The Self-Portrait Car (I'm Back)

  • Ms. Turner's downfall is just so good to watch.
    • Ms. Turner's breakdown starts after she makes a wrong error; she originally said that she had a key to the bomb. But then she says passcode, making Ash realize that she's bluffing and there is no bomb.
    • Then, Yeardley decides to distract Ms. Turner and gets knocked in the head for his troubles. This gives Chloe the opening to arrive and strike Ms. Turner's gun hand after she gets shot in the shoulder.
    • Kurune kicks the gun away and Class 5-E gang up to pin Miss Turner down. All while Chloe, struggling to breathe and blood pouring down glares at her before shouting,
Chloe: This is for hurting my friend!
(swings Cheshire down on Ms. Turner and knocks her unconscious)
