Just two buddy assassins and their daughter on a normal day

     Episode 1
  • As they're interrogating their target, Kazuki gets a phone call with the most dramatic ringtone ever. He picks up and hears the daycare teacher tell him to come pick up Miri who apparently caught a cold. Once he hangs up, he begins to scold Rei over not noticing their kid was sick, since he drove her to daycare that day. The poor boss looks uncomfortably between the arguing assassins like he stumbled into a spousal spat. He tries to get into the conversation, but it only leads to Kazuki to yell at him and Rei telling the guy to shut up as he shoots him in the head.
  • Rei's reason for not heating up the food Kazuki made for him? It was too cold.
  • Kazuki runs into some girls (one whom he had slept with just in the past week) who persuade him to gamble. He joyfully starts playing and then Gilligan Cut to him standing outside the casino with only his underwear and tank top.
  • Miri runs to Kazuki in the elevator and proceeds to make their hit all the more difficult. Throughout all the shoot-outs, Kazuki has to cover Miri's eyes somehow as she squeals, thinking they're playing a game.
  • As Miri is held hostage by her biological father, Rei asks if he has a clear shot through the girl. Kazuki immediately tells him to not go through with that plan.
  • Rei points out Kazuki's hypocrisy when they take Miri in:
Rei: I can't have a cat, but you can have a kid?
  • The collective Oh, Crap! between the two assassin's when they realize their target was Miri's father, whom they had just killed.

     Episode 2
  • Kazuki is clearly not a morning person as Miri thumps her fist onto his bedroom door, begging to know where the toilet is. It takes him a few minutes to remember that he even took Miri in, asking who she was when he sees her.
  • The two men return to their home and Rei suspects an ambush. They rush around to look for Miri who's hiding under a desk playing hide and seek. She then pulls out a gun and points it at the two.
Kazuki: (panicking) That's a real gun!!
Rei: Don't worry, it's not loaded.
  • The mobster's members seem to have terrible aim as all of their shots miss Rei who's casually walking towards them and shooting them down with his own gun.
Rei: This should have been the plan from the start.

     Episode 3
  • After waking up from a nightmare, Miri is right in front of Rei's face, begging him to play with her. She gets up on the couch and jumps down onto Rei's stomach. Cut to Rei curling up in pain while Miri is joyfully hopping around.
  • As Miri finds a sweet potato vendor, she asks if she can have one. Rei and Kazuki play rock-paper-scissors to see who'd buy it for her. Rei loses.
  • Miri dragging Rei to play with her at the park.
    • As she calls for "Rei-kun" and waves at him, a group of mothers notice Rei not waving back at Miri and wondering what kind of father he is. He flinches at the gossip and begrudgingly waves back at her.
    • On the see-saw, Miri is happily laughing while Rei remains stone-faced throughout.

     Episode 4
  • Rei gets unwillfully dragged everywhere by Kazuki in this episode. Each time he tries to trudge away, the music stops playing as he's shown to be dragged or unhappily pouting throughout the process of getting Miri into daycare.
  • Kazuki insists that they buy Miri some nice clothes so she can "assert dominance" at daycare.
  • Rei reads off the list of things Kazuki has to prepare for Miri's daycare. That goes for writing her name on everything, which leads to Kazuki slowly looking back at all the bags of fancy clothes he bought for Miri.
    • Rei lets Miri write on one of her expensive dresses, causing Kazuki to almost have a heart attack.
  • Rei passes out partway into the night as he sews Miri's name onto her clothes and towels.
  • The trio arrive at the daycare dressed to the nines with some of the mothers even taking notice. The two who politely greet Kazuki immediately turn to their group chat with the other mothers in it. A lot of the messages talk about how handsome Kazuki and Rei are.
    • Anna says it must be hard to look after Miri for the two men, with Rei replying it was since they were hitmen. Anna gives a Wait, What? reaction as Kazuki immediately pulls on a fake laugh as he elbows Rei in the ribs. The mothers nearby hear this, and the chat quickly devolves into asking the men to take out their husbands.
  • When they finally arrive at the daycare, Kazuki is told that he wouldn't be able to give her the bento he made since they provide food at the daycare. Rei forlornly mutters at how they stayed up all night preparing all of that for Miri.
    Kazuki: You fell asleep!
  • Thanks to Anna's help, the family go to a budget department store to buy Miri clothes that will help her fit in. Given their jobs, Rei and Kazuki are amazed at the cheap prices and Kazuki is brought to tears.

     Episode 5
  • Miri's homework: a presentation on Daddy's job. The timing couldn't have been worse: Kazuki and Rei are desperately getting new assignments done to get some cash after spending so much on Miri, and she has to stay home for a few days due to a virus' spread at school.
  • After the duo left Miri in Kyutaro's care in order to carry out their assignment, Rei mentions that Kyutaro is a ladies' man. Kazuki immediately freaks out to the point of imagining Miri getting married to Kyutaro.
  • Miri asks Kyutaro about her daddies' jobs, because they won't tell her. Kyutaro proceeds to tell her that Kazuki is stand-up comedian who's too ashamed of his lack of success that he refuses to tell anyone about his job, and Rei is an Arab Oil Sheikh of all things. Subsequently, Miri draws her daddies for the presentation, with Rei clad in an Arab outfit. Her presentation leaves the entire class in awe, with the mothers enthusiastically talking about her daddies in their group chat again.
  • Miri tries following Kazuki to find out what his job is, with many other adults noticing her and playing along. She's later shocked by a woman with large breasts passing by before she starts imitating the way she walks.

     Episode 6
  • When Rei hears that Miri got into a fight with another classmate, he gives this response while not looking away from playing Morio Kart:
  • After hearing from Anna that Miri got into a fight with a classmate, Kazuki tries to ask Miri about it, but to no avail. The girl runs upstairs, saying she hates him, which causes Kazuki to freeze and collapse in shock.
  • The following morning Kazuki tries to talk to Miri like their fight hadn’t happened, but Miri is still angry and rebuffs him. When Kazuki offers to take her to daycare, Miri asks Rei to do it instead. Kazuki’s reaction is to sulk in a chair (a homage to Tomorrow's Joe), complete with a ringside bell chiming.
  • Kazuki's overprotectiveness towards Miri goes into overdrive in this episode, causing him to have multiple Imagine Spots featuring Miri as a teenager (looking a lot like her mother) and reacts strongly to them. The first instance has Miri being held at a police station for shoplifting, the next one has her in jail, and the third one has her and an imaginary grown-up version of her classmate, Taiga (who resembles Miri's biological father), being a couple, declaring their love in cheesy teen slang.
    • Save for the third one, Kazuki also seems more torn up about being referred to as an "old fart" by the grown-up Miri than her delinquency itself, with both of the scenarios in question ending with him indignantly denying it.
    • Upon the third Imagine Spot, Kazuki goes ballistic and screams his heart out (declaring that he won't allow Taiga taking Miri away, then outrageously mistakes him as a philanderer simply because there are two other girls walking behind him), even though he’s sitting in a tree, keeping an eye on Miri from afar. He ends up causing quite a spectacle, with various zoo visitors nervously looking up at him.
  • As Kazuki and Rei tag Miri throughout the zoo trip, she senses them and turns around. Kazuki hides back in the bush while Rei holds up a newspaper to cover his face.
Kazuki: Well done, Miri! Those our genes at work!
    Rei: Our what?
  • Bonding over their fondness for Morio Kart, when prompted about if she likes Rei, Miri happily says she loves her Papa Rei. Kazuki is absolutely heartbroken while Rei gives him a small shit-eating grin.
  • Kazuki and Rei dress up in a bunny and alpaca suit respectively and beat up a man who pulled a (fake) gun on the kids.
    • At home Miri happily tells Kazuki about the bunny that protected her. Rei quietly asks her if she also remembered an alpaca being there.

     Episode 7
  • The slow realization that Kazuki was not going to be home for who knows how long leads Rei's face to slowly morph into an Oh, Crap! expression.
Rei: (to Miri) We were abandoned.
  • Rei opens the fridge to get Miri some breakfast, and has no idea which of the containers or bowls are food. Kazuki really was the one keeping Rei alive this whole time.
  • Miri points out she's late for daycare, so Rei hurries to get everything ready for her and bikes her there in the rain. When they arrive, the school was closed. Because it was the weekend.
  • Rei decides to order pizza and asks for no tomatoes or green bell peppers.
Miri: Papa says we should eat our vegetables!
Rei: Add in an order of fries.

     Episode 8
  • Miri tells Kazuki that Anna was not a very good singer. Cut to an image of her playing the piano with a demonic face and dark aura while the kids huddle together and cry.
  • As they drive home, Kazuki and Rei reminisce over how they first met. Rei says that Kazuki was actually really bad at his job when they first started working together. Kazuki is shocked to hear this and asks why Rei never told him.

     Episode 9
  • Upon returning home from an errand, Rei sees Kazuki preparing a meal and asks if he can help. Kazuki responds by checking him for a fever and asking him if he's feeling well.
  • The night before, Rei sneaks onto the daycare yard and scouts the field. The next day he tells Kazuki he managed to reserve the best spot for them to watch Miri. Said spot is protected by barbed wires, spikes, "keep out" signs and more.
Rei: Looks like it successfully deterred them.
Kazuki: It looks like a crazy person was here.
  • In the tug-of-war match, Anna manages to pull the other side over, with Kazuki being somewhat scared of Anna's strength while Rei comments, "might makes right".
  • During the gymnastics demonstration, Miri is paired with Taiga for various two-person acrobatics. Rei, the stoic and reserved one of the pair, has started going Boyfriend-Blocking Dad during the session, menacingly muttering "He dies, he dies". Kazuki nervously remarks that it doesn't sound funny when Rei's saying it like that.
  • After the relay event, Miri shows Rei what was written on her paper for her to retrieve. On it says the word "family". Kazuki tells Rei not to cry over it, and when Rei looks up he sees waterfalls going down Kazuki's face.
    Rei: Nice hypocrisy, man.
Miri: (pointing and laughing) Papa's an adult who's crying!
     Episode 11
  • While solemn and serious for the most part, it's hard not to giggle when Rei lets out a disgruntled groan when Kazuki limits his gaming to 1 hour per day after setting up the house rules at Kyutaro's safe house.
     Episode 12
  • After dropping off Miri at daycare, Miri makes her dads promise to come to the Christmas Party after their work. Rei mistakes this as a mafia loyalty oath, earning him a Dope Slap from Kazuki.
  • When storming the Suwa mansion, Rei refers to the bullet shower as "domestic violence" in his usual monotonous Deadpan Snarker tone. Kauzki panics and yells at him to leave the bullets out of his family arguments.
  • Kazuki's Imagine Spot in Episode 6 in which Miri is a rebellious teenager who looks more-or-less like her mother becomes a Brick Joke as the audience gets to see actual teen Miri, who retains most of her 4-year-old self's facial features. Kazuki bursts into tears, overjoyed that Miri has not “gone bad” while Miri has no idea what her dad is babbling about.
  • 10 years later, while Kazuki and Rei have since been doing honest work, some things never change as Miri pointed out that Kazuki still slips out to drink with the ladies.
  • Rei's cooking has also since improved, though Kazuki still calls him a "one-trick pony" because he still can't make anything other than French toast.
