Misaki is faking her cancer
In episode 10, Misaki claims that she has throat cancer, which she says made her realize that she should have been a better mom to Miri and ends with her taking Miri away. I think that she is faking her cancer, and that she has an ulterior motive for Miri. She didn't care about her at all and it is implied that she hit her, so I think Misaki is plotting against Kazuki and Rei using Miri.- Jossed. She was telling the truth but is killed before she could fulfill the promise.
Misaki might ask her parents to raise Miri
When Misaki dies of cancer, she will ask her parents to raise Miri in her absence. It is unknown if Miri’s real grandparents were good or bad people.- If they are good, Miri will have a good influence on them.
- If they are bad, Miri will experience her first trauma. They might be worse than her mother.
- Jossed. Misaki is gunned down by Ogino in Episode 11 and asks Rei and Kazuki to take Miri back before she expires.
