Go To

Six Paths of Rebellion is a Code Geass and Naruto crossover fanfic by Lord Maximus.

While battling Madara, Naruto is sent into a new world with giant mechanical monsters used by a nation attempting to take over the world. With the aid of a girl named C.C. he plans to stop them by using power of Geass and the Sage of the Six Paths

Sadly, it was discontinued and put up for adoption by its author on December 17, 2017 before it's original link was inexplicably deleted from the internet, making it a Dead Fic

Beware of unmarked spoilers

This fanfic provides examples of:

  • 0% Approval Rating: Suzaku's reputation in Japan practically goes down the drain after the Black Rebellion due to his blind loyalty to Britannia.
  • Abled in the Adaptation: Nunally not only recovers from her Geass-induced blindness much, much earlier than canon, she also is able to walk on her own legs again after receiving reconstructive surgery on her spine thanks to Rakshata's expertise.
  • The Ace: Naruto proves to be a highly proficient combatant both inside and outside of a Knightmare thanks to his experience as a shinobi, and the same can be said for C. C.
    • Nunally is just as smart as her brother Lelouch while being far more athletic than he is, making her a adept combatant as well as a competent strategist.
  • Ace Custom: The Seizan and Shinryoku Knightmares are this for Naruto and C. C., being tailor-made to work well with their chakra reserves.
    • Lelouch also receives the Arashikage equipped with a cloaking system and a multitude of advanced technology on top of its command and control capabilities instead of the Shinkiro for rescuing Todoh.
  • Adaptational Badass:
    • Naruto was already a badass in canon, but when he makes his contract with C. C., he not only receives Geass, but also awakens the Rinnegan from his chakra merging with the chakra from Obito he absorbed from his entry into Obito's portal.
    • C. C. receives the Rinnegan from the Sage of Six Paths and awakens her own chakra network after she makes her contract with Naruto, enhancing her combat skills thanks to her access to ninjutsu and the Asura Path.
    • Rakshata gains the Human Path and learns healing ninjutsu to bolster her existing scientific expertise.
    • Sayoko inherits the Animal Path, allowing her to perform long-range recon and protect Nunally and Lelouch far more easily.
    • Kallen receives the Geass of Absolute Vision, expanding her already considerable combat skills and allowing her to detect just about anything that she can see.
    • Nunally not only receives the Naraka Path, but also is taught hand to hand combat by Sayoko and ninjutsu by Naruto and C. C., making her a much more capable combatant than canon.
    • Euphemia is granted the Rinnegan by Cera and is trained in healing ninjutsu by Rakshata, deciding to take a more active role in helping Lelouch and Nunally overthrow Britannia and create a better world with her siblings.
  • Adaptational Early Appearance: Rakshata appears much earlier than canon, meeting Naruto and C. C. after her forces take them back to their home base following their escape from the facility they were stuck in.
  • Adaptational Nice Guy:
    • C. C. is noticeably less cynical than canon due to Naruto's Positive Friend Influence, being more open towards others
    • Lelouch is more open with his allies, confiding his secrets to Kallen.
  • Adaptational Villainy: Downplayed. Rai first appears as a Britannian Knightmare pilot under the tutelage of Nonette, but is more of a Punch-Clock Villain who got dragged along for the ride by his mentor before he joins the Black Knights after the Black Rebellion.
  • Amazingly Embarrassing Parents: Nonette is this for her student Rai despite being unrelated, constantly doting on him like her own son.
  • A Mind Is a Terrible Thing to Read: C. C. ends up witnessing Naruto's past memories when she grants him Geass and runs into the Tailed Beasts residing within him, with all of them warning her to not treat Naruto as a pawn before she also meets the Sage of Six Paths.
  • And This Is for...: Nunally has quite few things to say to V. V. about the crimes he committed against her and her family.
Nunally: This is for my mother! (slams his head onto the floor) This is for my brother! (delivers a Megaton Punch to the face) This is for my legs! (kicks him in the chest, breaking his ribs) And this is for my eyes! (pulverizes his eyes and splatters his head)
  • Ascended Extra:
    • Reuben Ashford plays a bigger role here due to his business arrangement with Rakshata making use of the hidden Knightmare production facilities his family used to possess before their fall from grace, supplying the Black Knights with Knightmare frames capable of taking on Britannian forces.
    • Milly, Shirley, Euphemia, and Rivalz join the Black Knights after the Black Rebellion.
  • Assassin Outclassin': Rolo attempts to assassinate Zero during the SAZ ceremony after Pollux's plan fails, only for him to be foiled by Naruto and caught by C. C.
  • Asshole Victim: Needless to say, no one mourns V. V., Pollux, and Rolo's passings considering how their work in the Geass Order helped to further the tyrannical goals of Emperor Charles.
  • Because You Were Nice to Me: How the relationship between C. C. and Naruto began: Naruto helped C. C. escape from the lab where she was kept, and she decided to stick with him ever since.
  • Big Damn Heroes: Naruto shows up just in time to save Euphemia and Lelouch and prevent Pollux from ordering his troops to massacre the Japanese gathered for the SAZ.
  • Broken Pedestal: Averted; C. C. doesn't undo Nunally's implanted memories while undoing her Geass-induced blindness to not tarnish her good memories of her mother, Marianne.
  • Canon Immigrant:
    • Castor and Pollux rui Britannia from the Code Geass Nintento DS game appear in the story as Geass Order agents.
    • Rai from Code Geass: Oz the Reflection appears as Nonette's student.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle:
    • Shows up a lot whenever the Seizan and Shinryoku are in the field given how they not only outstrip Britannian Knightmare frames by a huge margin thanks to the advanced technology they carry, but also due to its pilots being extremely skilled combatants even when they're not piloting their Knightmare frames.
    • The "duel" between Suzaku and Naruto consists of the former getting his butt handed to him by the latter while being chewed out for his naïve stupidity.
    • The Britannian fleet sent to retake Japan expect an easy victory ... only to get utterly trashed by the Guardians that Rakshata built for the Tailed Beasts to inhabit.
    • Rolo is trounced by Naruto before getting his memories analyzed by him in Chapter 24, letting Naruto gain information on all of V. V.'s (and the Geass Order's) plans and operations.
    • The Aquila sent by the Geass Order to capture C. C. gets destroyed by her Shinryoku, with the fight mostly being her toying with it before she shoots it down.
    • Nunally, the canonical Ill Girl, beats the absolute hell out of V. V. when he attempts to kidnap her.
  • Dies Differently in Adaptation:
    • V. V. is killed off much earlier than canon, having his soul ripped out and destroyed by C. C. with the Human Path. His dead body is then sealed in a block of concrete and dropped into the deepest depths of the ocean via Takamagahara to prevent anyone from obtaining Geass or the Code from his corpse, effectively crippling the Geass Order.
    • Rolo also gets his soul torn out by C. C.
  • Extreme Mêlée Revenge: Nunally beats the ever-loving shit out of her uncle V. V. when he attempts to kidnap her, letting out seven years worth of pain, hate, and anger onto the little bastard responsible for killing her mother and condemning her and her brother to exile.
  • For Want Of A Nail:
    • Due to Naruto applying a cancelling seal onto Lelouch when his Geass starts to run amok to prevent him from using it on accident, Lelouch never Geasses Euphemia by accident, in turn butterflying the SAZ Massacre and preserving Euphie's reputation.
    • Nina is knocked out before she can embark upon her Roaring Rampage of Revenge, preventing her from causing unnecessary chaos during the Black Rebellion.
    • V. V. doesn't even get to kidnap Nunally thanks to her training from Sayoko and C. C., getting the mother of all beatdowns from her instead before he's imprisoned.
  • Heel–Face Turn: Rai and Cornelia defect to the United States of Japan and the Black Knights after the Black Rebellion, with Jeremiah following suit after learning that Lelouch and Nunally are still alive. Viletta, on the other hand, only does so out of necessity since letting her allegiances be known by everyone would do her no favors in her current position.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: To ensure that Madara wouldn't be able to capture all of the Tailed Beasts and use them to revive the Ten Tails, Naruto willingly let himself be sucked into Obito's Kamui portal before using an Odama Rasengan to seal it, permanently casting himself out of his homeworld into the process.
  • Hidden Depths: Nunally may be a Nice Girl, but she is an Excellent Judge of Character and is smart enough to know when people are keeping secrets from her.
  • Humiliation Conga: Suzaku does not have it easy for him at all, constantly having his ideals taken apart and thrown back into his face while losing to the Black Knights in every battle he participates in.
  • Infectious Insanity: Sierra's Geass can turn anyone into mindless, rabid killers, which they use in the secret Geass Order facility in an attempt to capture Lelouch.
  • Lawful Stupid: As if he wasn't dumb enough in canon, Suzaku clings desperately to the idea that anything to do with Zero or the Black Knights is evil and anything to do with Britannia is good. Not only does he blame the Shinjuku and Saitama massacres on the Black Knights, Suzaku develops a single-minded obsession with killing Zero that even Euphemia can't talk him out of, culminating in him leaving Japan with the defeated Britannian forces after the success of the Black Rebellion.
  • Mad Scientist: Rakshata is a heroic example with her allegiance to the Black Knights while Lloyd a not-so-villainous one working for Britannia only for the opportunity to showcase his genius in the technology he creates.
  • Official Couple: C. C. and Naruto.
  • Outside-Context Problem: Naruto is this for Britannia given that his powers operate on completely different rules and has far more firepower than what Britannia can bring to bear.
  • Overshadowed by Awesome:
    • The Seizan, Shinryoku, and Arashikage utterly outclass the most advanced Knightmares Britannia have to offer, and it shows with the cutting-edge systems and weapons they carry compared to their opponents.
    • The Geass Order are also outmatched against the ninjutsu Naruto brought over from his world, stripping them of their trump card.
  • Pocket Dimension: C. C. ends up discovering that she can warp objects into her own personal dimension that she can use to discreetly observe other people with and freely alter it, calling it Takamagahara.
  • Positive Friend Influence:
    • C.C. opens up towards others and tones down her cynicism thanks to Naruto accepting her for who she is rather than ostracizing her, gaining a more mischievous personality in the process.
    • Lelouch is more honest with his fellow Black Knights, informing them about his Geass and providing them visors to counteract it in case he accidentally uses it on them, and in return their trust in him is strengthened into Undying Loyalty after they learn the reason why he seeks to overthrow Britannia while they're trapped in the Geass Order facility filled with Geass-influenced madmen.
  • Power Nullifier: Naruto applies Geass-cancelling seals onto Kallen and Lelouch in Chapter 26 as a safety precaution to prevent their Geass from going out of control.
  • Red Baron: Naruto and C.C. are known by the names of their Knightmares among the Black Knights.
    • Likewise, Zero for Lelouch and Infinity for Nunally.
  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Naruto gives one to Mao in Chapter 7 on his sick obsession towards C. C. and deconstructs his immature, childish sense of entitlement.
Mao: I HAVE YOU NOW! (laughing madly) I'LL RID THE WORLD OF YOU AND C. C. WILL BE MINE!
Naruto: Pathetic. You think killing me will really make her love you? Wow, you really are pathetic. Are you sure I'm finished. If you saw Kallen's mind you should know about my... talents
Mao: LET'S SEE HOW GOOD THEY ARE AGAINST A GUN TO THE FACE! (gun clicks, empty) Uh?!
Naruto: Oh, run out of bullets? (smirks) I was right after all.
    Mao: WHAT?!
    Mao: YOU!
Naruto: SHINRA TENSEI! (blasts away Mao)
Mao: WHAT HAPPENED?! YOU NEVER USED THIS POWER BEFORE!
Naruto: So you did see the techniques I showed Kallen when you read her mind. But I didn't show her all of the power I wield.
    Mao: DAMN YOU!
Naruto: It's also obvious that despite the fact that you read someone's mind on how to pilot a Knightmare, you have no experience piloting it, because your moves were all sloppy and unfocused.
    Mao: SHUT UP!
Naruto: Why don't you come out and face me like a man? You hide from the world, thinking you're so much better than everyone all because of your Geass which you can't control, looking down on them while using your Geass to manipulate them, toying with their fears and using whatever secrets they have without any regards to their well being. And worst of all, you believe she'll love you for it.
Mao: DON'T SPEAK OF HER! YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO SPEAK OF HER! SHE'S MINE! MINE! MINE! I AM THE ONLY ONE MEANT TO BE WITH HER! YOU STOLE HER FROM ME!
Naruto: Stupid child... You think C. C. would care for someone like you? You think she'd truly love you when she never ever told you her name?
Mao: She... She told you... That can't be... She never told anyone her name! Never! She never ever... told me her name.
Naruto: But she told me. It's because I granted her wish. I gave her what you and so many people denied her. So long was she treated as a witch while you treated her as a toy you could never let go. I gave her the gift of knowing that she could be loved... as a human being!
Mao: You... YOU LIAR! I LOVE HER! ME! ME! ME! AND I KNOW SHE LOVES ME! (attempts to shoot Naruto only for the bullets to be suspended in midair) What?!
Naruto: Look at you. The mere thought of C. C. actually loving someone sets you off into a violent rage, like a petulant child being denied his favorite treat. You lied, manipulated, tortured, and killed in her name and for that she left you because she couldn't stand it. She couldn't stand the sight of you so she left and never thought of you again.
    • Naruto gives out many of these to Suzaku Kururugi about how willfully blind he is to Britannia's atrocities and his insistence that everything the Black Knights do is evil and everything evil is their fault. Naruto goes on to claim that Suzaku's real problem with the Black Knights is that they're succeeding where he's failing. Even if Suzaku's plan to become the Knight of One succeeded, he'd be dooming the world for the sake of a single country.
    • Cornelia is subject to this from Naruto in Chapter 20 calling her out on her blind loyalty to Britannia and narrow-minded stubbornness when they run into each other on Kamine Island
Cornelia: As of now you are my prisoner. Surrender... or die.
Naruto: You don't waste time. (...) You want me alive so I can talk about your siblings.
Cornelia: So you do have them.
Naruto: I never said that, so don't put words in my mouth. I never once said we had them. You don't listen well, do you?
Cornelia: Where are they? What have you Elevens done with them? Answer me!
Naruto: For starters, referring to an oppressed people as a number instead of a name is not the best way to make friends, and you'd think we'd harm a kid and his little sister? I seem to recall that your bastard father, the Emperor, sent them here to die in the first place.
Cornelia: Liar! He wouldn't have done that!
Naruto: Would he? Why send a little boy with his blind and crippled little sister to a country he invaded a few months later for the Sakuradite and then say they were dead without confirming it? Their bodies were never found, were they?
    Cornelia: They were probably burned!
Naruto: How can you deny your siblings being alive? I can tell just from looking at you that you love them, perhaps enough that you'd risk everything, even your status, to protect them like a real older sister would.
Cornelia: Don't you dare accuse me of not loving my brother and sister! I loved them as much as I love my full blooded sister! Their mother was more like a mother to me than my own mother!
Naruto: You're talking about Marianne, aren't you? The woman who earned the title "The Flash" because of her skills and how she was nothing but a commoner and yet she rose to the rank of Empress. You got to respect someone who came from no noble clans or royal bloodlines and earned her titles. The fact that she was murdered in what should have been the most secure place on Earth seems strange, almost as strange as sending a boy who just lost his mother along with his crippled and blind sister to a foreign land. Even for a guy like me, that just screams conspiracy, and I don't usually pay attention to those sort of stuff. (...)
    Cornelia: What are you saying?
Naruto: You consider yourself a smart woman, don't you? (...) Then put aside your bias towards me and all that numbers bullshit that was shoved into your pretty little head and actually analyze the situation! (...) The first thing you should know is that Prince Lelouch and Princess Nunally, upon arriving to Japan, stated that they were no longer a part of the Britannian Royal Family. They had no idea that their country planned to invade Japan until the sound of bombs being dropped by aircraft flying over the shrine they were staying at and a loud boom that they heard in the direction of that shrine while they were on a hill, watching everything. So tell me, Princess Cornelia, if you and your family claim to love them so much, why is it that the very government you serve attempted to kill them if they are still royalty? Did they have any information that Britannia couldn't afford to lose? Is it because Lelouch abdicated his claim to the throne? Or was it because someone wanted him and Nunally dead and arranged it in a way that would make everyone think that the Japanese were responsible like how you thought terrorists were responsible for the death of Empress Marianne vi Britannia?
Cornelia: You... you're saying... that whoever killed Lady Marianne... tried to kill Lelouch and Nunally?
Naruto: I'm just following what I learned. What happened to the vi Britannia family suggests that someone wanted them dead and it started with Empress Marianne and tried to finish off her children here in this country. Fortunately, as long as his little sister needed him, Lelouch vi Britannia would move heaven and earth itself to keep her safe.
Cornelia: They really are.. alive, aren't they?
Naruto: Yes, they live, and the one thing they want more than anything is this: a gentle world where they can live happily without all the violence their homeland preaches. (...) As their sister, I'd have thought you'd want to grant that wish to them more than anyone. (vanishes)
Cornelia: Lelouch... Nunally... I'm so sorry.
    • C. C. also gives one to Suzaku during the Black Rebellion tearing him a new one on how much of a hypocrite he is, commenting on the irony of Zero, the supposed anarchist, being the one the people looked toward for protection rather than Suzaku.
    C. C.: Oh my, this is just too much! Really, Suzaku Kururugi, Princess Euphemia's shining knight, and here you are showing off a deep, dark side. Acting like the obedient sheep and always doing what you're told, but then along came Zero and the people hailed him as a hero and not you. Zero, the anarchist, and you, the loyal knight, and the people look to him for help instead of you.
    Suzaku: Stop it...
    C. C.: Now I see. With all the attention Zero is getting, it caused the obedient sheep to shed his fur and reveal the angry wolf underneath.
    Suzaku: Stop it!
    • To further rub salt into his wounds, Lelouch chews out Suzaku in Chapter 34 after the Black Rebellion's success and terminates his friendship with him after seeing just how far gone his old friend is.
    Suzaku: Zero... Lelouch
    Lelouch: Hello, Suzaku
    (Beat)
Suzaku: Looking back on it, Zero's identity was so obvious, but I refused to believe you would actually start a war simply for revenge. Are you so much like your family that you'd sacrifice anything for revenge?
Lelouch: I could say the same for you, considering your blind, undying loyalty to the very country that invaded your homeland.
Suzaku: At least I was trying to change things for the better! You've made everything worse, especially once the counter-force arrives
Lelouch: (smirks) There was a counter-force... Fortunately, I came prepared.
Suzaku: (glares) You're bluffing. You could not stop an entire invasion force.
Lelouch: I did... And my brother Schneizel offered a ceasefire to us due to other rebellions taking place across the Empire. In exchange for a cease-fire he agreed to recognize Area 11, Japan, as an independent nation. It's over, Suzaku. Japan is returning as a new nation, free of Britannia's tyranny.
Suzaku: You-Do you know what you have done?!
    Lelouch: I helped your people.
Lelouch: And what about you? How can you justify your own actions against your people when it's done nothing but help oppress them? You can't change the system, especially with that man, the Emperor, deciding how the Empire is run. I know it, and even Euphie knows it, which is why she gave up her claim to the throne in the first place.
Suzaku: She could have made a difference if you haven't tricked her!
Lelouch: I didn't trick her! I was willing to work with her even when I knew it would not last long and it would not change anything!
Suzaku: You manipulated her with your Geass! You controlled your own sister!
Lelouch: It seems my words are wasted on you, my friend. I can only say that I wish things were different, but I Did What I Had to Do, and for that Nunally won't be burdened by the kind of world Charles zi Britannia envisions. (...) I suggest you take a long look at yourself, because between the two of us I'm not the one who made my sister cry... twice. (leaves)
  • Robeast: Rakshata constructs unmanned Knightmare Frames called Guardians for the Tailed Beasts to use in combat after the Black Rebellion, all of which are modeled after the Beasts.
  • Rousing Speech: Lelouch gives one to the crowd at the SAZ unveiling ceremony after the attempts on his and Euphie's lives fail, managing to calm them down and win their loyalty.
Lelouch: STOP THIS! There will be no killing today! As long as I stand, no one shall harm a hair on Princess Euphemia's head! (...) You believe that Euphemia set this up as a trap to kill me, but that is impossible, for when we spoke in private she revealed to me that to make this happen she gave up her title as Princess of Britannia and her claim to the throne! She is now just an ordinary citizen with no political connections to the Britannian courts! (...) This assassination is indeed Britannian but it could not have been ordered by Euphemia. She is no longer a princess, therefore she does not have the authority even if she knew a great many people capable of assassination. Why would she give up her claim to the throne and do all this for you if her goal was only to bring me here to kill me? I ask you all, look at her and see if she truly is the tyrant and murderer you believe her to be! (...) Look at her and see! (...) Do not cast your anger on her. Cast your anger on those who ordered this assassination. Cast your anger on those who would turn what was meant to be a path to peace into a bloodbath. Cast your anger onto Britannia itself that selfishly oppresses its own people to further its own goals and would even betray its royalty to justify its ideology! (...) From this I declare this Special Zone open to all Japanese looking to make a fresh start without fear of oppression to Britannia. We will work with Euphemia who gave up everything to make this possible as reality. We will not let her dream by Britannia's petty propaganda of the strong lording over the weak. Here, now, we make our stand and declare this... OUR DAY!
  • Secret-Keeper: Kallen is this for Lelouch
  • Ship Sinking: The Suzaku/Euphemia pairing from canon is straight-up demolished by Suzaku's Lawful Stupid obsession with defeating Zero and the Black Knights, leading to Euphemia ditching him after she realizes that he's too far gone to reason with.
  • Sneeze Cut: Humourously Invoked whenever Naruto ends up mentioning anyone he knows from his past
  • Spanner in the Works: Naruto ends up throwing a massive monkey wrench in the plans of Charles and V. V. by inadvertently damaging the Sword of Akasha with his contract with C. C., and it only continues to get worse for Britannia to the point that the Sword itself manifests into the physical world to fix the plan while Britannia devotes all of its available resources into capturing him without success.
  • Spared by the Adaptation: Joseph Fenette survives the Battle of Narita but is hospitalized from the injuries he received.
    • Euphemia, thanks to the SAZ Massacre never happening. She ends up joining the Black Knights.
  • Sweat Drop: Milly has one when she hears Lloyd screaming at Rakshata about the Lancelot not being second-rate compared to her work due to the fact that Lloyd is basically a Manchild with a tendency to throw fits over his work being insulted in any shape or form.
Milly: Seriously, this is the guy my parents are trying to hook me up with?
  • Throwing Down the Gauntlet: Seizan challenges Suzaku to a one-on-one duel on Shikine Island during his induction as Euphemia's knight of honor so that the Black Knights can capture the Lancelot and put Suzaku out of commission without killing him after Diethard's proposal to assassinate Suzaku is rejected.
  • Training from Hell: Played for Laughs when Naruto and Milly decide to force him to show up for gym class in Chapter 25.
  • Trigger Phrase: Castor's Geass operates on this principle, implanting code phrases to brainwash people into carrying out his orders.
  • Troll: Naruto and C. C. like to prank their allies every now and then whenever possible.
  • Took a Level in Badass: Nunally undergoes hand-to-hand combat training with Sayoko, receives the Rinnegan from C. C., and trains with C. C. in mastering her Rinnegan powers after witnessing Britannian injustice in the Shinjuku ghetto, deciding to devote herself to being strong enough to stand alongside her brother Lelouch and help take down Britannia.
  • Villain Respect: Surprisingly enough, Charles expresses respect for Lelouch's oratory skills when he sees Lelouch galvanize the crowd into supporting the SAZ.
  • Wrong Context Magic: The jutsus from Naruto are affectively this for the world of Code Geass since they operate on completely different rules.
