Darth Wiki / Five Nights At Freddys World Update 0

Go To

FNaF World: Update 0 is a Five Nights at Freddy's Creepypasta about a mysterious update of Five Nights at Freddy's World. The protagonist of the story is "Bill Johnson", an obsessive fan of Five Nights at Freddy's who finds the aforementioned Update 0. It starts off as a regular old Five Nights at Freddy's game, but quickly takes a disturbing turn as Bill plays through the game.

The story contains examples of:

  • Adipose Rex: Toy Freddy rules on a throne in a castle and is noticeably chubby and round.
  • Art Shift: The enemies and surroundings get more realistic at Toy Freddy takes over. This is kicked up a notch in Toy Freddy's world, where enemies look like real life creatures.
  • Asshole Victim: Although Toy Freddy's brutal rape and murder of Springtrap is Played for Horror and shows just how twisted he is, it's hard to feel sorry for Springtrap, him being a child killer and all.
  • The Bad Guy Wins: After being temporarily held off by Bill, Toy Freddy presumably gets the laugh last at the end when his shadowy minions capture or kill Bill.
  • Badass Boast: Toy Freddy gives a particularly villainous one in his battle against Springtrap.
  • Bears Are Bad News:
    • Some of the enemies in Toy Freddy's world are giant eyeless bears.
  • Berserker Tears: Springtrap cries in fear as he fights Toy Freddy.
  • Bloody Bowels of Hell: Toy Freddy's world has a ground made of flesh. Mixed with Fire and Brimstone Hell.
  • Couldn't Find a Pen: Fredbear is found brutally killed, with "SAVE YOURSELF" written in oil, his equivalent to blood.
    • A message written in blood is found on the wall of Bill's bedroom.
  • Cruel Elephant: Some of the enemies in Toy Freddy's World are skinless mammoths with three trunks.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: Toy Freddy No Sells all of Springtrap's attacks and then kills him in one move.
  • Defeat Means Playable: Just as in the original game, Bill gains new characters by defeating them in battle.
  • Downer Ending: Toy Freddy takes over the game and kills several characters, breaks out of the game and gets loose in the real world, then kills Bill himself. The epilogue implies he's searching for a new victim.
  • Dwindling Party: The animatronics start randomly dying in horrific ways as the game progresses. Downplayed as many survive.
  • Enemy Summoner: The scythe chickens in Toy Freddy's world can lay eggs to create more of themselves.
  • Evil Is Bigger: Toy Freddy is one of the bigger animatronics and the villain of this story. Exaggerated with his real life form.
  • Evil Laugh: Toy Freddy is fond of this, especially when torturing people.
  • Eviler than Thou: Toy Freddy boasts that Springtrap, a psychopathic child murderer and Serial Killer, has never experienced true evil.
  • Eye Scream: Bill throws holy water at Toy Freddy and burns his eye.
  • Eyeless Face: The giant bald bears that lurk Toy Freddy's World have no eyes.
  • Faceā€“Heel Turn: Possibly Toy Freddy, if he used to be good.
  • Feathered Fiend: One type of enemy in Toy Freddy's World, described as having scythes for arms and being able to lay eggs to bring more of them in battle.
  • Fire and Brimstone Hell: Toy Freddy's world has fire everywhere.
  • From Nobody to Nightmare: Toy Freddy started out as a goofy Toy animatronic that never had a major role in the franchise, then became a self-aware entity that can bend the game to his will and even enter real life. He is a very powerful threat both in-game and out. The story lampshades this.
  • Gutted Like a Fish: Happens to Springtrap, courtesy of Toy Freddy. Unlike most instances of this trope, Toy Freddy does this with his bare hands.
  • Half the Man He Used to Be: Fredbear is found ripped in half.
  • Hell Hotel: Bill spends his last days hiding from Toy Freddy in a sleazy hotel, and this is where he is captured or killed by Shadow Freddy and Shadow Bonnie.
  • Hell Is That Noise: The game makes an extremely loud noise at one point.
  • The Hero Dies: Bill is heavily implied to have been killed by Toy Freddy and/or the Shadows at the end of the story.
  • Holy Burns Evil: Holy water burns Toy Freddy badly enough for Bill to escape his attack.
  • Holy Water: Bill stocks up on this and then uses it on Toy Freddy, buying him time to escape.
  • Human Sacrifice: Well, animatronic sacrifice to be more accurate. One of Toy Freddy's Finishing Moves, the aptly-named "Sacrifice".
  • Hype Aversion: An in-universe example. Bill says this is why he didn't like the Five Nights at Freddy's franchise at first.
  • I'll Kill You!: Toy Freddy directly tells Bill that he will kill him, and almost makes good on his threat.
  • Karmic Nod: Springtrap states that he deserves this in his loading screen.
  • Light Is Not Good: Toy Freddy starts out as a cute, chubby, and colorful teddy bear. He's also a sadistic torturing rapist killer who rules his own world as an Evil Overlord.
  • Living Shadow: Shadow Freddy and Shadow Bonnie. Not only in-game, but in real life as well.
  • Machine Blood: The animatronics bleed oil instead of blood. Downplayed with Springtrap, who bleeds actual blood as well as oil.
  • Mirror Monster: Toy Freddy appears inside real life mirrors as he torments Bill.
  • Never Found the Body: Bill goes missing (heavily implied to be taken by Shadow Freddy and Shadow Bonnie) and is never found.
  • No-Sell: None of Springtrap's attacks so much as scratch Toy Freddy, and Rainy Day even heals him.
  • Precision F-Strike: Toy Freddy calls Springtrap a "fucker" before engaging him in combat.
  • Rape as Drama: Toy Freddy rapes Springtrap just before he kills him.
  • Sequel Hook: The epilogue reveals that Bill's "brand new computer" is up for auction.
  • Slashed Throat: Shadow Bonnie slashes Classic Bonnie's throat with a knife.
  • The Shut-In: Bill is implied to be highly reclusive, as it takes six months for anyone to notice he's gone.
  • Storming the Castle: Springtrap infiltrates Toy Freddy's flesh castle. It doesn't turn out well for him.
  • Suddenly Speaking: Toy Freddy has an actual voice instead of textboxes like the other characters.
  • Tears of Fear: Springtrap breaks down crying as he faces Toy Freddy in a showdown.
    • Bill also cries when Toy Freddy begins haunting him.
  • Womb Level: Toy Freddy's Castle is described as being made entirely out of meat and bone.
  • Wooden Stake: Toy Freddy uses this as part of his "Sacrifice" move. He kills Springtrap and almost kills Bill with one.
