Apocalypse 69 is a writing project that is the manifestation of several people. It follows the story of The Cynic, a rich, blondem and intimidating Anti-Hero trying to survive in the world after a world-wide super-storm wrecks the world. The three must make their way around the country, surviving hardships and amusing situations to get to a rumored safe place that lies in Texas.
This story (So far) provides examples of:
- Everybody's Dead, Dave: What the story is based on. 80% of the human population has been completely eradicated.
- A Boy and His X: Holly and her happy group of annoying animals.
- Genre Savvy: Rhys has read a lot of apocalyptic novels.
- Cool Shades: Despite the fact that the sun is blocked out by an eternal blanket of clouds, Andrew feels wearing these are appropriate.
- Clarke's Third Law: Holly, crashing into New York. Her and her animals remain completely unscathed, she claims that it's from that "Fancy magic tech stuff".
- MegaCorp: The alliance formed by bureaucrats, the remaining population has no choice but to comply to their standards.
- Sinister Shiv: Rhys carries many of these

Andrew
Yes, he has a death wish. He has many as a matter of fact.
- Aggressive Submissive: He's a prick, but he's also a pushover.
- Asshole Victim: He gets the brunt of a lot of teasing and violence. That doesn't mean his reaction is appropriate.
- City Mouse: Cabin? What's a cabin?
- Devil's Advocate: He's never happy with anyone winning an argument. Ever.
- Disproportionate Retribution: You called him dumb once? Well be prepared to be locked out of the only bunker for 50 miles as the world ends!
- Hates Everyone Equally: He wished armageddon upon the world, and even THEN he wasn't satisfied.
- Hilariously Abusive Childhood: His parents didn't even want a child. In retaliation, they gave him the stupidest name possible and made sure to tease him about it. This made him extremely bitter and amusingly angry at life.
- Jerk with a Heart of Jerk: "My greatest dream is for you to all die".
- Jerkass Woobie: Seeing him cry out of fear can be either satisfying, or devastating.
- Only Sane Man: Well, when your only companions are a hypocritical manic and a sadistic convict, you stand at pretty good odds.
- Pretty Boy: Soft hair, silky skin, big eyes, etc.
- Properly Paranoid: If something's wrong, he's usually right. Usually.
- Satisfied Street Rat: Give him a gun and a bat and he'll be glad that his childhood was rough.
- Sole Survivor: Upon first walking out of his underground bunker, he saw that he was the only one alive.
- Tall, Dark, and Snarky: His family is from Spain, he's fairly lanky, and the sass is real.
- Toxic Friend Influence: Despite what you may think, it's actually the other way around. Andrew is frequently pushed over the edge by his friends.
- Who Names Their Kid "Dude"?: Andrew Ander Andrews
- Given Name Reveal: When they are going through a contraband check they are all asked to give their full names.
Holly
- Action Girl: She can fight fairly well with all those animal carriers.
- Annoying Younger Sibling: What she's implied to be.
- Blonde Republican Sex Kitten: Oh my GOD.
- Captain Oblivious: She wasn't sure why the plane crashed, she didn't even seem to realize that the world had ended.
- Chaotic Stupid: In actuality, Holly is very booksmart. On the other hand...
- Constantly Curious: Hey! Let's go explore that old dark soaking wet jail cell!
- Damsel out of Distress: She's well able to take care of herself.
- The Ditz: Her entire character.
- Hilariously Abusive Childhood: Born to a family of 13 siblings, Holly was the youngest of all of them, and her mother attempted to feed her to the wolves.
- Innapropriate Role Model: She's not exactly innocent.
- Living Aphrodisiac: It's a good thing that her only companions are an incompetent human hater and a gay man.
- Mama Bear: Don't touch her animals without explicit permission.
- Number Two: She's often considered to be the second in command in the group.
- The Prima Donna: Working TVs are rare, but, hey, she still needs to be seen.
- Rich Bitch: She enters in a plane, for God's sake.
- Romantic False Lead: Make no mistake, she is not looking for romance.
- Screw the Rules, I Have Money!: Man, screw physics, I'm going to crash a plane and survive.
- Sidekick
- Sole Survivor: Similar to Andrew, she was the only one who survived her plane crash.
- Spoiled Sweet: She had so much money that she forgot how to be constantly bitter.
- Super Gullible: Believes ANYTHING.
- Token White: Andrew is Spanish-American, and Rhys is Latino.
Rhys
- Gayngster: He murdered 140 people and sexually assaulted 139 of them. The 140th was a woman. Andrew is terrified.
- Combat Sadomasochist: He has all those scars for a reason.
