    Hudson Horstachio

"It's exhausting being famous. Sometimes I barely have time to stare at myself in the mirror."
Hudson Horstachio

The self-proclaimed "world's most popular pinata", Hudson is the biggest celebrity on Pinata Island. As a result, he also has a planet-sized ego and can rarely go a moment without bragging about his achievements or staring at himself in the mirror. He also has quite the flair for the dramatic, another side effect of his stardom. Voiced by Dan Green.

  • Accessory-Wearing Cartoon Animal: He is rarely seen without his sunglasses.
  • Animal Stereotypes: A proud, vain and passionate horse.
  • Attention Whore: Hudson really enjoys the attention of other people, to the point where he becomes a Green-Eyed Monster when someone becomes more popular than him.
  • Chick Magnet: He is shown to have a few fangirls in several episodes, Beverly has a gigantic crush on him and Ella also seems to find him attractive.
  • Cool Shades: It's basically the only thing he wears.
  • Distracted by My Own Sexy: Putting a mirror in front of Hudson is a good way to distract him. He even straight-up admits that making him watch his greatest hits compilation video is his Achilles' Heel.
  • Distressed Dude: He seems to be the most common target of Pester's piñata kidnappings.
  • Drama Queen: Kind of Justified by him being an actor, but Hudson still tends to have rather over-the-top reactions to certain things, to say at least.
Hudson after a failed sportscaster audition: My confidence has been destroyed! My self-worth shattered. That little voice inside my head that once said "Hudson, you're okay" is long gone. Whatever will take its place?!
  • Even the Guys Want Him: In "Hudson On Hudson", he makes a claim that he's not only popular with the ladies, but with everyone. For what it's worth, he isn't exactly making that up - two seemingly male pinatas are shown fainting over him in "Hero", Henderson thought Hudson was charismatic enough to let him do a stage role he was supposed to do and even Fergy tried to kiss him in "Superhero Hudson".
  • Flanderization: He became more narcissistic and conceited as the show went on.
  • Furry Reminder: He is prone to neighing, he likes eating hay and he apparently exercises by galloping and trotting around his house.
  • Hates Being Alone: As shown in "Hudson's Holiday" and "Piñatametermania", Hudson has trouble staying alone for an extended period of time, mostly because there's no one around who could praise or admire him.
  • It's All About Me: Being the biggest celebrity on the island can do that to a person. He doesn’t even know the meaning of the word, “co-star”.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: He is very egotistical but otherwise a good friend.
  • Large Ham: He is a cocky, attention-loving entertainer, voiced by Dan Green doing a slight Frasier impression, there's no two ways about it.
  • Mr. Vice Guy: Hudson is comically vain and self-absorbed, but he still genuinely cares about his friends.
  • Narcissist: While he is ultimately a good guy, Hudson still fits this trope far too well - he is extremely self-obsessed and self-absorbed, he tends to ignore the needs and wants of others just to be in the spotlight, and he desperately needs attention of other people, even those who annoy him (like Beverly). A few episodes even show that even though he is genuinely talented, he sometimes has trouble focusing on what he's supposed to do because he is too focused on himself and the attention of other pinatas.
  • Shameless Self-Promoter: Hudson will gladly promote himself, no matter what the situation is or whetever it's appropriate or not.
  • Shrine to Self: Unsurprisingly, his house is filled with portraits of himself, as well as his own merchandise.
  • Third-Person Person: Not usually, but sometimes he does refer to himself in third person to highlight his ego. He even lampshades this in "Trojan Horstachio".
Hudson: Hudson the Horstachio is always booked solid, because he is the best. Which also why he is allowed to talk in the third person.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: Hay, of course.
  • Twinkle Smile: It's a borderline Running Gag surrounding him. It even happens during the Season 1 intro.
  • Vocal Evolution: His voice was a bit more subdued and suave in the first few episodes, though slowly became more dramatic and expressive later on as his personality quirks became more obvious.
  • Workaholic: While he does enjoy being pampered and there are some things he doesn't want to do, Hudson is very dedicated to his job as an entertainer, doesn't like taking vocations and only gets 6 to 8 seconds of sleep.

    Fergy Fudgehog
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/fergy_fudgehog.png

"I don't wanna go to any party! I don't like being shot from a cannon and bashed to pieces with a stick!"
Fergy Fudgehog
A neurotic Fudgehog who, unlike most other Pinatas, absolutely hates the idea of being beaten with a stick by a bunch of candy crazed children. Voiced by David Wills.
  • Big Eater: Fergy loves to stuff his face just as much as he hates going to a party. In the episode where he declares to keep his candiosity low in order not to go to a party, he can't resist eating which does the opposite effect of what he wanted.
  • Catchphrase: "Oh, fudge!"
  • Heterosexual Life-Partners: With Paulie.
  • Inconsistent Spelling: His name is mostly spelled "Fergy" but a "How to Play" video for the game spelled it as "Fergie".
  • Lovable Coward: Unlike most other pinatas, Fergy is absolutely terrified of childrens' parties.
  • Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: Him and Paulie drilling holes into a chest resulted in the salt water needed for taffy pouring out when they were returning it to the factory as per its instructions.
  • Skewed Priorities: In "Candibalism", he seems to think that being selfish is worse than being accused of cannibalism.
  • Sweet Tooth: He is not a fan of children's parties, but he still really enjoys eating candy. It also doubles as his Fatal Flaw as it is proven from time to time to be a hindrance to both himself and his friends.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: Candy... Even though eating candy obviously raises his Candiosity. Sometimes, he also likes eating thistles.
  • Vitriolic Best Buds: With Paulie. They have their disagreements, but they ultimately care about each other.

    Paulie Pretztail
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/paulie_pretztail.png

"As long as I keep my tail off the Candiosity meter, there's NO WAY I'll measure up, which is just fine by me."
Paulie Pretztail
Fergy's best friend. Paulie is a snarky, down-to-earth and cunning Pretztail who shares Fergy's hatred of parties.
  • Animal Stereotypes: Paulie is a crafty and sneaky fox.
  • Cunning Like a Fox: A Preztail (a pretzel red-tailed fox) who is sneaky, pretty intelligent (at least compared to the other characters) and somewhat manipulative at times.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Paulie is described as having a dry sense of humor and indeed, he is quite prone to making sarcastic comments at times.
  • Heterosexual Life-Partners: With Fergy.
  • Idiot Ball: Due to Les being The Unintelligible, Paulie tends to be the Only Sane Man whenever the audience needs a more rational view of the situation. However, he also isn't as competent as Les is either, which leads to him going the long way when Les would rather cut the knot.
    • "I, Pretztail" is the most infamous example, where a clerical error leads him to believe that he's a Squazzil. This is in spite of the fact that his last name isn't ever changed in the episode, and all characters have the last name of their species.
    • "Les Saves the Day... Again!" has nobody except for Les realize that the Chekhov's Volcano is going to erupt, including Paulie. Even after the volcano is already erupting.
  • Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: Him and Fergy drilling holes into a chest resulted in the salt water needed for taffy pouring out when they were returning it to the factory as per its instructions.
  • Only Sane Man: He is one of the more down-to-earth and reasonable characters.
  • Supreme Chef: Paulie is said to be a talented cook.
  • Vitriolic Best Buds: With Fergy. They have their disagreements, but they ultimately care about each other.

    Franklin Fizzlybear
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/franklin_fizzlybear.png

"Hey, I'd take a sand facial before I wipe out on a friend."
Franklin Fizzlybear
A good-natured, amicable Fizzlybear who speaks in a stereotypical Surfer Dude accent and dialect. He is known for his inability to lie, which occasionally causes problems to his friends, but he is otherwise a good friend to have. Voiced by Marc Thompson.
  • Acrofatic: A chubby Fizzlybear who is also a talented surfer.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: Most of the time, Franklin is a nice guy. Should he get pushed far enough though, he can get as wild as a sour pinata. This is shown in "Mad Mongo" when he tames a Sour Macaracoon who starts cleaning everything upon being tamed even when they don't need to be cleaned. The squeaking sound drives Franklin insane enough to turn Mongo back into a sour.
  • Beary Friendly: A pretty easygoing and non-violent bear (most of the time).
  • Brutal Honesty: While it's usually done in a somewhat Innocently Insensitive way rather than in a blunt, harsh way, there are times when Franklin is a bit too honest, such as when he told Hudson that he looks stupid when he chews hay or when he told Fergy that he would put himself up for adoption if he was his parent.
  • Cannot Tell a Lie: Franklin is honest to a fault. At best he will lie by omission.
  • Don't Wake the Sleeper: "Hibernation Nation" has Franklin reveal that Fizzlybears like himself become extremely hostile if disturbed during hibernation with one of Franklin's cousins going on a rampage that destroyed an entire village.
  • Extreme Doormat: Because Franklin is so nice, people sometimes walk all over him and he doesn't know how to stand up for himself.
  • Furry Reminder: "Hibernation Nation" is about him and his family preparing for hibernation.
  • Kindhearted Simpleton: He is a bit of a Cloud Cuckoolander and generally a Nice Guy.
  • Nice Guy: A friendly, easygoing bear.
  • Surfer Dude: He talks like one, he has the laidback, somewhat kooky personality of one and he does enjoy surfing.
  • Totally Radical: Franklin has a voice and personality of a Surfer Dude.

    Lester "Les" Galagoogoo
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/les_galagoogoo.png
A Galagoogoo with a genius intellect, amazing planning skills and excellent eye for detail. There's just one problem - he can't actually talk, causing everyone around him to completely misunderstand him and ignore him, much to his dismay. Voiced by Eric Stuart.
  • Badass Adorable: He is a small, pink, blue-eyed Galagoogoo who speaks in high-pitched gibberish. He is also one of the most resourceful and competent characters who is often the one to actually save the day.
  • Furry Reminder: One episode has him eating a sandwich with moths in it. Real life galagos actually eat insects and bugs.
  • No-Respect Guy: Les is generally the Only Sane Man and even The Smart Guy of the main cast, to the point where he actually saved the island at least twice. However, because he cannot talk, nobody understands what he's trying to say and as such, he is often ignored by others.
  • Not So Above It All: Les is generally the sanest and the smartest character in the main cast, but even he tends to fall for Great Bonboon's lies.
  • Odd Name Out: Most other characters have a name that starts with the same letter as their Species Surname or is at least phonetically alliterative (Simone Cinnamonkey, Phineas Fizzlybear). Les is an exception to this rule.
  • Only Sane Man: Despite being The Unintelligible, Les tends to show to have a grasp of the situation and comes up with the best ideas, even if nobody takes him seriously or even notices.
  • Shorter Means Smarter: He is very small and happens to be a scientific genius.
  • Suddenly Voiced: In "The Wraisins of Wrath", Les gains the ability to speak verbally and intelligibly after eating one of Fergy and Paulie's raisin pies.
  • The Unintelligible: Les is the only major pinata in the show who can't talk. At least until "The Wraisins of Wrath", but that is only temporary.
  • Vocal Dissonance: Whenever he actually talks, he turns out to have a very deep, baritone voice, despite being a small, cute Galagoogoo.

    Ella Elephanilla
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ella_elephanilla.png

"Who's Ella? Where am I? Who are you guys?"
Ella Elephanilla
An Elephanilla, who, ironically for her species, suffers from a bad case of short term memory loss, causing her to forget everything she saw or heard just a few seconds earlier. She is always willing to lend a helping hand to her friends, even if she often forgets what exactly she was supposed to do.
  • Achievements in Ignorance: Her forgetfulness is so great that at one point she defies gravity all because she forgot she was supposed to fall untill she remembers.
  • Acrofatic: She has the build of a typical elephant and yet is pretty good at ballet.
  • Animal Stereotypes: Inverted. Ella is an extremely forgetful elephant.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: Ella is generally one of the nicer characters in the show, but when she loses her amnesia in "The Wraisins of Wrath", she physically attacks and then chases Pecky Pudgeon around for writing an unflattering article about her.
  • The Ditz: Mostly because of her forgetfulness.
  • Dude Magnet: "The Crush" has her catching the attention of both Paulie and Fergy. It's also shown that a few other background characters and maybe even a female Moozipan asked her out on a date as well.
  • Elephants Never Forget: Subverted, as she's extremely forgetful. However, there are some episodes where this is flipped back to being played straight.
    • In "The Wraisins of Wrath", the raisins in Fergy and Paulie's pie causes her to be opposite of her normal self and able to remember things. She also remembers an unflattering article Pecky apparently wrote about her, so she chases him around trying to hurt him.
    • In "Ella Forgets to Forget", Fergy starts a service where Piñatas can confide their secrets in Ella, since she'll forget them anyway. But when Fergy tells her to remember to forget, she ends up forgetting to forget (hence the title). This somehow makes her remember all the secrets told to her.
  • Forgetful Jones: She is very forgetful.
  • Honorable Elephant: An elephant who is generally good-natured, even if she is very forgetful.
  • Irony: Her entire character is this — she is a forgetful elephant.
  • Nice Girl: She is shown to be a mostly sweet and kind person.
  • Really Royalty Reveal: "Her Royal Forgetfulness" reveals that Ella used to be the queen of one of the gardens on Piñata Island but then she forgot about it and wandered off. It's also revealed that someone always tries to take advantage of Ella's forgetfulness whenever she is in the position of power and it always ends in disaster, which is why King Roario decided that it's best to keep it a secret from everyone.
  • Tomboy and Girly Girl: The sweet, ballet-loving girly girl to Tina's snarky, adventurous tomboy.

    Tina and Teddington Twingersnap

"You know the worst thing about being attached to you? BEING ATTACHED TO YOU!"
Teddington Twingersnap while arguing with Tina.
A pair of conjoined twins who are always arguing. Tina is voiced by Kathleen Delaney and Teddington is voiced by Jamie McGonnigal.
