- Meaningful Name: Vagus is a latin word meaning 'wandering.'

- Sir Swears-a-Lot: Goddamn, is he ever. He has a fouler mouth than Tony Soprano and Billy Butcher combined.

- Last of Her Kind: Mycaelis and Vagus rescued her from a wave of genocide that decimated her breed known as the “Abnormals.”

- Famed In-Story: He’s been feared for so long that he’s become a nightmarish beast in Elysian folktales.
- Last of His Kind: He's the sole survivor of Eira, his former hometown in Messenia.
- Leave No Witnesses: As a shapeshifting Zoroark, Lorenzo can't afford to have bystanders blow his cover...
Lyra the Tangrowth

- Dark Action Girl: She's the highest-ranking female in Aperion.
Sulla the Drapion
A high-ranking member who’s usually delegated combat missions
- The Brute: He’s relied on for muscle but lacks the wisdom seen in his high-ranking colleagues.
Hector the Escavalier
An Elite Mook who fights for Aperion.
- Adaptational Badass: Escavalier in the games has one of the lowest Speed stats of all fully-evolved Pokemon in the series, at an abysmal 20.note Hector, however, is quick enough to dodge Vagus's attacks and bum-rush him several times.
- Affably Evil: He's unfailingly pleasant towards Vagus during their fight, and even compliments him on his combat prowess several times. When Vagus's lethargy kicks in, he expresses geunine remorse that the fight has to end this way.
- Conservation of Ninjutsu: Vagus had no issue taking down Aperion's cannon fodder until this guy showed up.
- Elite Mooks: Vagus learns the hard way that this Escavalier isn't one of Aperion's run-of-the-mill grunts; he purposely fights him last so he can memorize his moves and fighting style from his previous opponents and assaults him relentlessly, giving him virtually no time to counterattack, on top of dodging when necessary. A last-minute intervention from Leon just barely prevented Vagus from being skewered. Even then, Vagus ultimately doesn't emerge victorious due to his lethargy kicking in, and Hector only spares him because killing him in such a state is dishonorable to him.
- Honor Before Reason: He has a pristine opportunity to kill Vagus (who's lying completely defenseless due to his lethargy kicking in), but chooses not to, and goes after Leon instead.
- Killed Offscreen: Leon goes berserk and rips him apart offscreen. All we see of the carnage is his torn-off arms and green blood.
- Lightning Bruiser: Strong enough to fight evenly with a Laconian, soaks up hits like a Sham-Wow, and (unlike in the games) is fast enough to outmaneuver Vagus.
- Made of Iron: Holy hell, does he take a ridiculous amount of punishment. It's to the point where Vagus can't deal enough damage to bring him down before his lethargy acts up.
- Super-Toughness: Par for the course for an Escavalier, Hector takes an insane amount of damage from Vagus and gets back up each time.
- Victory by Endurance: His fight with Vagus consists of him tanking his attacks and counterattacking when need be, until the latter's lethargy cripples him.

Miranda the Ambipom
Captain of the Argo, a merchant ship; she’s the daughter of its previous Captain.
- The Captain: She’s the Argo’s first in command.
- Cool Sword: Miranda's weapon, fashioned from a Skarmory feather.
Theseus the Samurott
Chief Mate of the Argo; he was a close friend of Miranda’s father.
- Father Neptune: He’s the eldest current member of the Argo’s crew and as a Samurott, he naturally looks the part.

- Making a Splash: As water pokemon, he is capable of effective water attacks.
- Number Two: He's second in the chain of command after the Captain.
