Eleanor Forte

Click here to see her original artwork
The first vocal released for Synthesizer V, as well as its first female vocal and English vocal. She was released on August 18, 2018, and sings in American English. She received an AI version on December 6, 2021. Her concept describes her as a virtual singer with an interest in antiques. She is described as being honest, endeavoring, and as having an unwavering sense of morality.

Listen to her standard official demo, "Something New", here or her AI official demo, "Oasis", here.

  • Ambiguously Human: She's referred to as "being an epitome of the latest technology" on the official site, strongly implying she is an android (or virtual singer even in-universe).
  • Badass Longcoat
  • Expansion Pack: Her eight vocal modes, Melancholic, Solid, Warm, Powerful, Dark, Clear, Tender, and Bold, were released with with Synth V Studio Pro's 1.8.0 update.
  • Iconic Item: Her sealing stamp-themed microphone.
  • Mascot: She used to be this for Synth V as a whole, being the first named character released for the program.
  • Meaningful Name: Forte is the term in musical notation which signifies that a section should be played/sung louder than the norm. (It is commonly written as a cursive and bolded f.)
  • Ooh, Me Accent's Slipping: Eleanor Forte was described as American English before her release, but her Lite voicebank has a slight British accent when rolling her r's. (This can also be invoked by editing phonemes manually in a word.)
  • Updated Re Release: In late 2021, she was given a re-release for Synth V AI, drastically improving her humanlike tone.
  • Vocal Dissonance: According to an VocaloidNews interview, Eleanor Forte Lite originally had a more mature voice that didn't match her anime-like appearance. Kanru Hua edited her voice before release to avoid this. Subverted for her AI release, which is closer to the tone that was scrapped for her first version, with updated artwork to match.

Japanese

Yamine Renri

Her summer design. Click here to see her winter design
A female Japanese vocal previously known as an UTAU character, she was the first Japanese vocal released to Synthesizer V. Her voicebank was released to the program on November 11, 2018, and her full version was released for SynthV Studio on October 13, 2021.

  • Development Hell: Aside from her release to SynthV Studio in 2021, she has not received any updates or promotion. Her voicebank is still built off her old UTAU files.
  • Canon Immigrant: Yamine Renri is an UTAU vocal, and her vocals in SynthV are explicitly rebuilt off of her voicebanks in that software.
  • Pimped-Out Dress

Genbu

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/virvox_synthv_genbu.png
Click here to see his original artwork
The first male vocal to be released for SynthV. He was released on December 23, 2018, and was rereleased for Synthesizer V Studio on July 25, 2020. His voice provider is Gallo. In 2021, he became part of Project VirVox, who confirmed his real name to be Takehiro Kurono.

Listen to his official demo, "Hatsunetsu Emotion", here.

  • Animal Motifs: He's named after the black tortoise, one of the four guardian spirits in Japanese mythology. He also has a tortoise-inspired pattern on the right shoulder part of his outfit.
  • Development Hell: A Synthesizer V AI voice database for Genbu was announced in August 2021, but the crowdfund was canceled due to lack of required permissions. Since then, nothing regarding his voice has been announced.
  • Brutal Honesty: His official profile describes him as being straightforward to the point of coming off as rude.
  • Meaningful Name: "Genbu" is the Japanese name of the aforementioned black tortoise. Meanwhile, his surname has "kuro" in it, which means "black" or "mysterious" (referencing how the tortoise is also referred to as "the mysterious warrior").
  • That One Guy: Was this for two years, until the release of Muxin in 2020. He was the only male Japanese vocal until Ryo's release in 2022.
  • Tsundere: Possibly. His profile describes him as being extremely blunt, but caring and soothing underneath. His rather grumpy expressions in some of his official and concept art (such as this) support this a little.
  • Vocal Dissonance: His arrogant pose and haughty facial expression in his profile contrasts with his soft, beautiful voice.

  • Bilingual Bonus: Unlike her original VOICEROID voicebank, she can sing in Japanese and English in Synth V.
  • Canon Immigrant: Like the Kotonoha twins, Tsuina-chan and Seika, she was originally made as a VOICEROID character, and even earlier was a mascot for AH-Software's DAW software, JAM Band.
  • Expansion Pack: In July 2022 she received five vocal modes: Adult, Breathy, Power/Pop, Twangy, and Whisper.
  • Ooh, Me Accent's Slipping: While her English voicebank has good pronunciation for the most part, some of her syllables are a bit off. Her "R" phoeneme also tends to hang on a bit longer than a normal English voicebank's would (i.e. saying "grrrrrrreat" instead of "great").

Kasane Teto

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/synthesizer_v_ai_kasane_teto_illust.png

For Synth V, traces of them are still there, but she's gotten a more uniform outfit, the gray color became much lighter, and her boots have become combat boots instead.
  • Expansion Pack: Released with four vocal modes: Joyful, Cute, Power, and Mellow.

  • Vocal Dissonance: She's kept her young appearance, but her voice sounds much more mature, and closer to what she would actually sound like at her age. The shift is most likely due to Oyamano having to re-record her samples.
