Team Thirteen

     13 Mentor: Mysterious Stranger
??? ('Mysterious Stranger')
I'm winning because I never learned how to lose.
Team Conclusion: Underrequipped and not exactly physically imposing, the cryptic Team 13 may well struggle to make the impact their mysterious appellation suggests they should have.
Mentor's Comment: Only a blowhard or an idiot would claim this will be easy. We have a chance, a slightly bigger one if they follow my instructions. We'll see from there.

     13A: Zachariah Johnston
13A: Zachariah Andross Johnston
Designated Weapon: Monkey Wrench
Conclusion: Once again in Zach, we have a fan of the show who might not necessarily be able to translate knowledge into practice, can his teammates fills his desire for companionship?
Mentor's Comment: Teams need balance. Zach's not a fighter, but they don't all have to be.

     13B: Rishi Kohli
13B: Rishi Kohli
Designated Weapon: Additional Rations
Conclusion: A Detroit Central kid alone on a team of Silver Dragons. Can Rishi set aside his prejudices and co-exist with his team?
Mentor's Comment: If Rishi will cooperate... he's the team's muscle. If.

     13C: Peter Campbell
13C: Peter Campbell
Designated Weapon: Playboy Magazine
Conclusion: With that kind of draw and those kinds of habits, has Peter got ANY chance of bucking the odds?
Mentor's Comment: Liability

     13D: Simon Porter
13D: Simon Porter
Designated Weapon: Stun Gun
Conclusion: They say that size doesn't matter, but Simon isn't going to be winning fistfights anytime soon. Let's see if his weapon can prove a valuable equaliser!
Mentor's Comment: Simon is essential for success, it's that simple. If he can deceive somebody... that's the opening we'll need.

     13E: Suzanne Lanford
13E: Suzanne Lanford
Designated Weapon: Pair of walkie-talkies
Conclusion: Whilst Suzanne has some ready made allies in the rest of Team 13, they won't do any good if she falls victim to sickness!
Mentor's Comment: Brains of the outfit with none of the brawn. Suzanne needs protecting.

Black Team

     BLK Mentor: The Waning Star
Pete Finch
This is even more exiciting than the time that kid beat the final challenge on my gameshow by one second! You remember that? ...Oh, you don't? ...Right.
Team Conclusion: The Black Team are certainly the underdogs this go around! None of them seem to have my physical ability, but there are amazing weapons everywhere here. But will that be enough to carry these five through?
Mentor's Comment: Mr. Finch refused to exit his trailer to give comment.

     BLK1: Bob Lazenby
BLK1: Bob Lazenby
Designated Weapon: Lazer Pointer
Conclusion: There's always one or two that end up as an easy out on the show. But we have had those in the past that come into their own here on Sot F, will Bob surprise us and rise to the top?
Mentor's Comment: It's only fitting that my team includes someone who critics would claim is representative of my current career. Yeah, right. Why would I be a mentor here if I wasn't still well loved by my fans?

     BLK2: Natalie "Nate" Chauncey
BLK2: Natalie "Nate" Chauncey
Designated Weapon: Dragunov
Conclusion: Will this little girl be able to handle such a big gun? Or will she snap under pressure? Only time will tell, but her lack of connections means that she will have to rely on team allegiance to make it through to victory.
Mentor's Comment: Alright, alright... We have firepower. Just like my gameshow on Fox, Mondays at 7! Boom!

  • Break the Cutie: Endures a lot of horrifying hardship through the season and seemingly breaks towards the end.

     BLK3: Holly Hadaway
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/holly_hadaway_by_yonagoda.jpg
BLK3: Holly Hadaway
Designated Weapon: Fragmentation Grenades x3
Conclusion: Holly's going to be a fun one to watch no matter what happens, so keep an eye on this one folks! Will Holly crack under the pressure? Or will she overcome and turn into a resilient team leader?
Mentor's Comment: Huh. She seems like she'd make a better contestant on my show than fighting in TV... Alright, I just hope she doesn't break.

     BLK4: Harold Finston Smythe
BLK4: Harold Finston Smythe
Designated Weapon: 1927 Thompson A1 MS 1 B Machine Gun
Conclusion: Probably the first thing this boy has ever fit into in his life is this team, so he may thrive by finally being forced out from behind the computer! Who knows? Watch and find out!
Mentor's Comment: ...Come on, do we have anyone who knows how to fight?

     BLK5: Panya Bishara
BLK5: Panya Bishara
Designated Weapon: Firestar M43
Conclusion: Determination is key in this game, and her manipulative skills will definitely come in handy. But will her past relationships become her downfall?
Mentor's Comment: ...Are you fucking kidding me? You're fucking with me, right? Troll the TV presenter, just cause he's going through a rough patch, huh? RANDOM TEAMS MY ASS!

Blue Team

     BLU Mentor: The Foreign Ambassador
Marie Roux
It's so nice of you to let me participate in this cultural experience. I'll do my best.
Team Conclusion: Looks like Team Blue has a lot of knowledge and intelligence without a lot of boom-boom to back it up! They'll definitely need to work together closely if the whole group is going to make it out alive, because this certainly isn't the most physically imposing team out there!
Mentor's Comment: It does not matter what happens, Team Blue is sure to be very entertaining. I am hopeful I can lead them to endgame!

     BLU1: Jaszmine Johnson
BLU1: Jaszmine Johnson
Designated Weapon: Colt Single Action Army
Conclusion: Determination is ingredient number one in the recipe for a winner, let's hope Jaszmine's attitude doesn't get in the way of her success!
Mentor's Comment: Ah, she has great spirit! I am glad to have her on the team.

     BLU2: Anna Hitchins
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/anna_hitchens_by_yonagoda.jpg
BLU2: Anna Hitchins
Designated Weapon: DVD of last season's SOTF-TV
Conclusion: Congratulations Anna, now you get to make a movie watched by millions! Let's hope that big mouth of hers doesn't land her in hot water.
Mentor's Comment: How appropriate for Anna to wind up on the show! She will be sure to be an entertaining presence on my team.

     BLU3: Joshua Doyle
BLU3: Joshua Doyle
Designated Weapon: WASP Injection Knife
Conclusion: Losing your temper is a lot more dangerous to all people concerned when weapons are involved. If Joshua loses his cool, somebody else could wind up losing their head!
Mentor's Comment: Oh my, Joshua could certainly be an explosive one. I'll watch him with great interest!

     BLU4: Axel Stadler
BLU4: Axel Stadler
Designated Weapon: Complete set of Team Rosters
Conclusion: Knowledge is power, and if Axel can learn to trust his teammates, that could give them quite the edge!
Mentor's Comment: Axel's paranoia is sure to make an appearance, I'm sure it will make for great viewing when it does!

     BLU5: Lou Becker
BLU5: Lou Becker
Designated Weapon: Machete
Conclusion: Ahh Lou, we've seen his type before. Can his expertise convince his teammates he's worth keeping around?
Mentor's Comment: A fellow enthusiast! Hopefully, he should know exactly what to do to make this as exciting as possible!

Brown Team

     BRN Mentor: The Intrepid Reporter
Aiko Yoshida
Plucky journalist guides team to victory' - how's that for a headline?
Team Conclusion: Brown Team has a lower-average crop of contestants with awful weapons. Is this gonna be our early out comic relief team? It remains to be seen, but speculation points towards yes.
Mentor's Comment: Despite our disadvantages, our team will make up for everything with enthusiasm and skill! There's no way we can lose. I'll make sure of it.

     BRN1: Nick Simmons
BRN1: Nick Simmons
Designated Weapon: Power Drill (battery powered)
Conclusion: Few useful advantages and a weapon built more for horror movie theatrics than practical use mean he's probably a goner, but with any luck he'll at least be interesting while dying.
Mentor's Comment: Oh! Well, he knows the show, and he's at least the sort to be underestimated. That's good. We can work that.

     BRN2: April Stone
BRN2: April Stone
Designated Weapon: Rubber Band Shooting Pen (with rubber bands)
Conclusion: Another one with little going for her, and an awful weapon, too. Still, it'll be fun to see if the vegan snaps!
Mentor's Comment: She's got passion and spirit. Yay! That'll make up for the bad weapon... definitely...

     BRN3: Eloise Winterburn
BRN3: Eloise Winterburn
Designated Weapon: Sledgehammer
Conclusion: Well, finally the Brown Team gets someone with a weapon that's actually usable. It'll take a lot to salvage this team, though.
Mentor's Comment: Manipulation can be the best weapon there is. The hammer is just a bonus. Go team!

     BRN4: Marion Clayton
BRN4: Marion Clayton
Designated Weapon: Nodachi
Conclusion: Determination in no makes up for a complete lack of idea on how to use a sword as tall as she is. At least her attempts should be amusing.
Mentor's Comment: Determination, popularity, intelligence: she has it all! We can definitely work this. Make your parents proud!

  • Character Death: Gets poisoned by Zachariah.
  • Cool Sword: Gets assigned a nodachi, but unfortunately it proves to be too impractical for her to make much use of it.
  • Horrible Judge of Character: Her trusting nature ends up being her downfall.
  • Nice Girl: Is about as friendly and inoffensive as one could expect of someone in the SOTF TV universe. Not that it stops Zachariah from poisoning her.
  • Wide-Eyed Idealist: Somewhat downplayed, but she treats everyone she meets politely and her trusting nature is what ultimately leads to her death.

     BRN5: Brenda Hernandez
BRN5: Brenda Hernandez
Designated Weapon: Nerf Longshot
Conclusion: Even with a joke weapon, this one may be able to make a name for herself. Will the daughter of the cop bring justice to the island?
Mentor's Comment: I just hope she puts that selfless streak to proper use. She looks like a very valuable asset for our team.

Gold Team

     GLD Mentor: The Gambler
Drake Fortune
I'm the ace up their sleeve
Team Conclusion: The one thing Gold Team is definitely rich in is drama. Whether it be the spoiled brat Todd making a mess of things, or the Shawn and Mae duo providing us with a different sort of entertainment, there's something in this team for everyone. Especially that shotgun and the samurai sword. Stay tuned, because Gold Team is going to be one hell of a ride.
Mentor's Comment: It feels like the deck got stacked the wrong way, but who knows how it works? Sometimes you get a pocket rocket deal, and sometimes it's a two-seven. Still, the game is more than just the cards you're dealt, and any hand can pull off a win.

     GLD1: Mae St. Clair
GLD1: Mae St. Clair
Designated Weapon: Katana
Conclusion: This girl looks like she's ready to win, and with one of our fan favorite weapons too. Keep an eye on her because she'll definitely be one to show us something new.
Mentor's Comment: She didn't get a gun, but that samurai sword has traditionally been a good draw. I'm confident in her ability to pull through.

     GLD2: Todd Hudson
GLD2: Todd Hudson
Designated Weapon: 3-Man tent
Conclusion: Todd had better make friends quick, or he's going to find out that sleeping alone is quite cold, although not as cold as a knife in the back.
Mentor's Comment: My personal bet is he'll get that tent stolen from him within the first two days, and probably by one of his teammates. It's useful; moreso than the guy it got assigned to.

  • Naked People Are Funny: Spends the latter portion of his game naked after monkeys steal his clothing during a bath.
  • Undignified Death: Falls into a volcano whilst high on psychedelic mushrooms, naked and covered in grime, all the while his dissaproving father can only shake his head watching the show at home.

     GLD3: Alicia "Ali" White
GLD3: Alicia "Ali" White
Designated Weapon: Remington 870
Conclusion: Alicia better use that shotgun well, because if she doesn't, she'll end up being an angel instead of a fairy.
Mentor's Comment: Just a little out of touch with reality and with one hell of a boomstick. Better put your money down in Alicia, people, because this girl's going to make it far.

  • Cloudcuckoolander: Alicia grows increasingly out of touch with reality as the game goes on, seeing her teammates as faes and other fantasy creatures.

     GLD4: Shawn Morrison
GLD4: Shawn Morrison
Designated Weapon: Corded Circular Saw
Conclusion: Too bad there's no electricity to make a mess with that saw. Not that this vegan would do it, but there are many ways for one to snap and start a bloodbath.
Mentor's Comment: 50/50 odds. He's pretty big and strong, but doesn't have a clue how to play. He could go either way, if he snaps or if he finds something worth playing for. I'll just go with my gut: he'll get past halfway, but not farther than that.

     GLD5: John Benson
GLD5: John Benson
Designated Weapon: Fire Axe
Conclusion: Let's hope this kid can get off his ass to lift that big axe, because he'll be chowder for the big kids if he can't
Mentor's Comment: John's unreliable. A wild card at best. Sometimes those are good, but in a game like this, it might just end up getting him killed.

Green Team

     GRN Mentor: The SOTF Protester
Susan Crawford
I'm only here to say that you're all sick bastards for watching this nonsense. How can you condone mass murder?
Team Conclusion: The Green team seems to have the innate skills that scream champion to me! But with their poor weapon pulls, will personal skills enough be able to overcome this disadvantage?
Mentor's Comment: My team will not overcome anything in the way that you propose. I'll lead these kids to escape, and try to make them convince as many others as you can. This will not continue, just you wait and see!

     GRN1: Sean Davidson
GRN1: Sean Davidson
Designated Weapon: Super Soaker Monster
Conclusion: That spacy nature may spell the end for Sean. But will good team support save him in the end?
Mentor's Comment: You people are despicable! You're describing him like he's a toy or an athlete, not a poor child sent to his death!

     GRN2: David Myerez
GRN2: David Myerez
Designated Weapon: Gladius
Conclusion: David has the skills to go far, and his past might just make him the type of contestant we're looking for! But will David be able to handle himself around his team mates? Or will he be the only one left standing?
Mentor's Comment: He's already dealt with death and you're putting him through this? You are absolutely terrible people. Don't you understand how valuable li-

     GRN3: Alexis Allwell
GRN3: Alexis Allwell
Designated Weapon: Rope and grappling hook
Conclusion: Stealth will definitely be an asset, because if Alexis wants to win, she's going to need to steal a good weapon, fast.
Mentor's Comment: Poor girl... I can't imagine what her parents are going through. Oh wait, yes I can. Because you TORTURED my SISTER to death you corporate, fat cat [censored]!

     GRN4: Chelsea Roberts
GRN4: Chelsea Roberts
Designated Weapon: Aluminum Baseball Bat
Conclusion: A girl with a lot of book smarts and not that many friends. Having read about survival in a book is one thing, but will Chelsea be able to interpert it into the real world?
Mentor's Comment: She shouldn't have to! Seriously, what is wrong with you?!

     GRN5: Michael Clark
GRN5: Michael Clark
Designated Weapon: Butter Knife
Conclusion: Michael might actually have a chance if he can get his hands on a good weapon. The question though, is will he be lucky enough to find one, or have to be ruthless enough to take one by force.
Mentor's Comment: No kid on my team will be ruthless about anything. [censored] [censored] [censored] piece of [censored] [censored] I will [censored] make sure you [censored]!

Grey Team

     GRY Mentor: The True Expert
Martin "Mar WIN" Winchester (nobody actually calls him that)
Why am I going to wi- WHY am I going to win!? Because I know everything that ever happened in this game, that's why! My knowledge is unparalled, I know every last tactic down to the most minute detail. My team will be triumphant because I have a master plan!
Team Conclusion:This team is sorely lacking in firepower, but makes up for it in intelligence, fighting skill, and drive. Will they be able to survive the first few days until scavengers are the true victors? Or will they be some of the first victims?
Mentor's Comment: Yeah... Yeah, I can work with this. These kids, under my direction will win, end of story.

     GRY1: Robert "Bobby" Goldman
GRY1: Robert "Bobby" Goldman
Designated Weapon: Shopping Cart
Conclusion: That shopping cart won't do him much good here! Can Bobby can get over his inability to work together with his teammates, or will he be shunned and die alone?
Mentor's Comment: Just because he's not a team player doesn't mean he doesn't have his uses. Actually, this just might be to our benefit...

     GRY2: Terrilynn "Lynn" Boden
GRY2: Terrilynn "Lynn" Boden
Designated Weapon: Bulletproof Vest
Conclusion: A fighter with a defense against firearms. Lynn looks like she could go far, but will her enemies turn into her downfall?
Mentor's Comment: I like this girl, she's perfect! This girl will be my star player. Assuming, of course, I can convince her to work with the other four. But really, who wouldn't listen to someone who knows more than they could ever hope to?

     GRY3: Devonte Washington
GRY3: Devonte Washington
Designated Weapon: Butterfly Pen Knife
Conclusion: Devonte might have a hard time making to the end of the game with his issues with criticism combined with his mentor. But either way, he will definitely have a major effect on the game, so keep an eye on him.
Mentor's Comment: Hey, hey! There's a difference between perfection and criticism thank you very much! And even this kid's disadvantages are advantages in my book. You can use everything to your advantage if you're good enough to know how to harness it. Devonte will be an asset to the gray team, just you wait and see.

     GRY4: Michael Marshall
GRY4: Michael Marshall
Designated Weapon: Fencing Foil
Conclusion: His creativity might be a major asset for his team, but what trouble will his lack of social skills and irritability get him into?
Mentor's Comment: As long as he keeps his rest up, Michael could definitely be a mastermind of this team. Who needs to be able to read people when I'm telling him how to win?

     GRY5: Tristan Hart
GRY5: Tristan Hart
Designated Weapon: Derringer .45
Conclusion: There's no room for protests here on Sot F: TV! Tristan's going to soon find out just how badly his efforts have left him set for the game!
Mentor's Comment: Gah! There's always one... Maybe if I can get his gun in the hands of that Lynn girl... This is going to need a re-working of a couple of my theories to make this team work.

Loner
     LONER: John "Jack" Lemmon
LONER: John "Jack" Lemmon
Designated Weapon: S&W Model 500
Conclusion: Oh dear - not only does the boy who hates guns draw a gun, he's all on his lonesome! This doesn't bode well for our loner!

Orange Team

     ORA Mentor: The SDA Teacher
Dr. Millard Smith
I have full confidence in the Academy's ability in this competition. As in every other area, we will excel.
Team Conclusion:Team Orange has pretty good muscle, skill, and intelligence behind it, but it also has some severe hurdles to overcome when it comes to armament, teamwork potential, and mentor cooperation.
Mentor's Comment:Hey, now. That's quite uncalled for. Since I represent the interests of the Academy, I will, of course, be seeing Mr. Tam out of this affair alive, as well as whichever of his teammates show the common sense to follow his and my lead. I must suspect, though, that things have been stack against me as a sick joke. Why, I ask, am I not in charge of the White Team? Anyways, look for my book on this experience from an academic perspective, out a few months after the end of the season.

     ORA1: Vincent Sullivan
ORA1: Vincent Sullivan
Designated Weapon: Digital Camera
Conclusion: He has the strength and endurance to be a real show. We'll see if he can live up to his potential, but ticking time bombs of rage are always worthwhile.
Mentor's Comment: Wow. At least my team has a good meat shield. These Detroit students are so... brutish. You work with what you get, I suppose.

     ORA2: Brennan O'Brian
ORA2: Brennan Lee O'Brian
Designated Weapon: Bottle of LSD labeled "Water Purification Tablets"
Conclusion: This one will be fine viewing, folks. Just wait 'til he needs to refill his group's bottles.
Mentor's Comment: Lovely. Just... ugh. I think he may actually end up being a hindrance. What did I do to deserve this team?

     ORA3: Ferric "Eric" Tam
ORA3: Ferric "Eric" Tam
Designated Weapon: KA-BAR Combat Knife
Conclusion: Great action potential here, with the knife and his strength. Too bad about the diplomatic streak, but we'll see how he feels a couple days in.
Mentor's Comment: Easily the most worthwhile team member. I have no doubts Mr. Tam will lead his compatriots to victory, and showcase the true worth of the Academy.

     ORA4: Tiffany Dexter
ORA4: Tiffany Dexter
Designated Weapon: Colt Anaconda .45 Magnum
Conclusion: Martial arts skills, a bossy demeanor, and a gun. What more could you ask for in a contestant? Oh, she's not bad looking, either.
Mentor's Comment: This one will spell trouble. I just hope she can recognize that not attempting to seize leadership is in her best interests. Maybe she'll give the gun to Mr. Tam, since it sounds like she doesn't need it.

     ORA5: Katherine "Kathy" Clements
ORA5: Katherine "Kathy" Clements
Designated Weapon: Swordcane
Conclusion: Let's see some of that creativity in action! How can you go wrong with a... swordcane!
Mentor's Comment: At least she probably won't be too much trouble for the group. Her weapon has potential. Let's just hope she doesn't screw it up.

Pink Team

     PNK Mentor: The Average Joe
Mike Patterson
Uh... my name's Mike, I'm an accountant from Chicago and I have fou- Wait, why my team's going to win? Uh... uh... I'm good with numbers, I guess.
Team Conclusion:A team full of misfits, cowards, and anti-socials, Pink Team still has some serious firepower going for it. The question is, how will they play it: They may be decently effective alone, but if they actually manage to unite and cooperate, they may well be unstoppable!
Mentor's Comment: Uh, wow, yeah, this is going to be kind of tough, I can see. I hope they're cooperative. We'll try to, uh, allocate our resources wisely and outlast the competition. Or, well, stay alive as long as possible. Man, I had no idea it'd be this tough when I sent that can in.

     PNK1: Anthony Rollins
PNK1: Anthony Rollins
Designated Weapon: Basket-hilted Claymore
Conclusion: Separated from his best friend, Rollins will soon be forced to decide on his real priorities. The size of his weapon more than compensates for his small stature—the only question now is whether he can lift it.
Mentor's Comment: Oh, uh, wow. That's a pretty good start, I guess. At least he has experience with cameras, right?

     PNK2: Jonas Jeffries
PNK2: Jonas Jeffries
Designated Weapon: MAC-10 Machine Gun
Conclusion: : A panicky boy with a powerful gun he assuredly has no clue how to use: this is prime time entertainment. No matter what he does, he's sure to be a hazard for someone or, at the least, a free weapon to someone who can use it.
Mentor's Comment: Uh, wow, at least he has a chance to defend himself. I hope he finds his teammates quickly or, uh, he could be in trouble.

  • Nervous Wreck: His kidnapping from his home for the game by a swat team has frayed his already fragile nerves so by the time the game starts he's wandering around with an Uzi attempting to build space between him and students from the other school only to wildly fire around in a panic.
  • Large Ham: "I'M FROM DETROIT I KNOW HOW TO USE THIS!"
  • Tiny Schoolboy: 5'3 which does not help him when it comes to the bullying he faces at school.

     PNK3: Glen Bole
PNK3: Glen Bole
Designated Weapon: SPAS-12
Conclusion: This is real potential, folks! Maybe Bole hasn't ever been able to back up his bark before, but that shotgun's sure to give him some bite.
Mentor's Comment: I... well, I wouldn't want to personally meet him, but he, uh, he sounds like a fairly useful member of the team, actually.

  • Cluster F-Bomb: After the initial moment of confusion passes, his reaction to seeing the death of Todd Hudson is full of them:
What... Did... DID THAT JUST FUCKING HAPPEN?! DID TODD HUDSON JUST JUMP INTO A FUCKING VOLCANO, COMPLETELY FUCKING NAKED?!? I, just... what? Tell me I saw that! Tell me I’m not going fucking crazy, dude! They put something in the water, didn’t they? Just... WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON?!
  • Flat "What": His first reaction to seeing Todd run around naked boils down to this.
  • Freudian Excuse: His parents have barely time for him due to their jobs. His true father-figure was his grandfather Allen, whose death deeply unsettled Glen. His profile states that he feels constantly miserable and wants to make others feel miserable as well.
  • Kilroy Was Here: One of his hobbies is to draw graffitis of his own name in abandoned places.
  • Smug Smiler: Spots an arrogant sneer fairly often.
  • Smug Snake: Believes himself to be superior because of his talent for running. Has not a single friend thanks to his general attitude. And once he is thrown into the season of SOTF-TV, he shows next to zero hesitation to start killing while viewing even his assigned teammates with disdain.
  • Thin-Skinned Bully: Behind his jerkass behavior, he is constantly depressed, insecure and cowardly.
     PNK4: Ben Grayson
PNK4: Ben Grayson
Designated Weapon: Full set of team bandannas
Conclusion: Can a boy overcome his social ineptitudes to last with a weapon that practically forces manipulation upon him? Tune in to find out!
Mentor's Comment: Well, he's definitely a support role with his skills, but with clever use, he could really complement the others well, I think. If, uh, if any of them actually talk with each other.

     PNK5: Isaac King
PNK5: Isaac King
Designated Weapon: IMI Desert Eagle
Conclusion: Someone who gets a gun actually knows how to use it! This will be one to watch, no doubt.
Mentor's Comment: Another loner sort. At least he also has, uh, decent equipment. It looks like I'm going to have my hands full. I hope I do alright!

Purple Team

     PRP Mentor: The Winner
Jared Clayton
Talk all you want about gameplans and strategy. Fact is, I didn't need no stats and technical know-how to walk out of there the sole survivor, and that's why my team is winning.
Team Conclusion: This team might have both brains and brawn, but what they don't have is much of an armoury to speak of. If they can't get weapons, and quickly, it might be nothing more than a cameo for the purple team!
Mentor's Comment: Equipment isn't everything, attitude is. These guys have got a secret weapon, and that secret weapon is me. They're winning this damn game if I have any say in the matter.

     PRP1: Madelyn Connor
PRP1: Madelyn Connor
Designated Weapon: Glow Sticks (x12)
Conclusion: Madelyn might be a scrapper, but with a draw like that, if she can't keep her temper under control, it'll be a short game for her!
Mentor's Comment: Weapon draws only make up a tiny part of the game. Once I get her to ditch that kindly streak, Madelyn will do just fine.

     PRP2: Amber Lyons
PRP2: Amber Lyons
Designated Weapon: Short Spear
Conclusion: How will the devil in disguise fare when the chips are down, especially when she's not the toughest cookie around?
Mentor's Comment: This girl, I like. You don't have to be the biggest or the strongest to win, you've got to be the smartest.

     PRP3: Karen Ruiz
PRP3: Karen Ruiz
Designated Weapon: Glock 17
Conclusion: Karen will need to set those trust issues aside if she hopes to make use of her biggest advantage of all. Can such a complete loner ever work in a team?
Mentor's Comment: Trusting nobody is lesson number one, and it looks like it's one I won't have to teach Karen. You don't need to work WITH the team to work FOR the team, know what I'm saying?

  • I Work Alone: Decides early on to ditch the team dynamic that the producers were trying to pull and garner enough kills to leave. She succeeds.
  • Take a Third Option: Kills ten other students and leaves the game near the end on a helicopter.

     PRP4: Cesar Perdomo
PRP4: Cesar Perdomo
Designated Weapon: Febreeze
Conclusion: Whilst he may have some ready-made teammates, Cesar will have to be careful not to let his morals compromise his survival!
Mentor's Comment: Great, a loser with a heart. He listens to me, or he's wasted, it's just that simple.

     PRP5: Sterling Odair
PRP5: Sterling Odair
Designated Weapon: Hatchet
Conclusion: Looks like Mr. Popular is going to have to set some friendships aside if he wants to win! Will Sterling crack under the pressure?
Mentor's Comment: A popular jock, terrific. Unless he pays close attention, he doesn't have a hope in hell.

Red Team

     RD Mentor: The Military Officer
Lieutenant Colonel Max Briggs
What this team needs to achieve success is discipline and tactics
Team Conclusion: This is likely to be a fragmented, argumentative group, if they can even coexist, that is! Something tells me that even if they find each other, the spirit of cooperation isn't going to be too strong here. If they can get on the same page, the team does have some firepower, a great utility and a field medic of sorts, but that seems like a huge ask.
Mentor's Comment: This mob needs discipline, and fast. This is too essential for any selfishness on the part of any of the team members. We have the tools to succeed, it's a matter of forcing them to operate together.

     RD1: Marvia Jones
RD1: Marvia Jones
Designated Weapon: Steyr AUG
Conclusion: That weapon of Marvia's should make anybody think twice, but she most certainly isn't a team player, will she be able to reel back her violent streak for the sake of the cooperation, or will we have a maverick on our hands?
Mentor's Comment: Discipline is essential for the well-being of the team. I won't allow a loose cannon like Jones to compromise that.

     RD2: Jeanette Buendia
RD2: Jeanette Buendia
Designated Weapon: Switchblade
Conclusion: Seems like the party's over for Jeanette! She'll need to wise up in a hurry, because her stature sure isn't going to do her any favours on the show.
Mentor's Comment: This game is no laughing matter. Buendia had better grasp that quickly, because I won't tolerate insubordination.

     RD3: Jhamel Thompson
RD3: Jhamel Thompson
Designated Weapon: Colt M1911A
Conclusion: Jhamel is soon going to find out that there are no second chances on this show... if he's not careful, that discovery will kill him!
Mentor's Comment: A wannabe gangster? Wonderful. Let's hope he's receptive to orders.

     RD4: Daniel Renard
RD4: Daniel Renard
Designated Weapon: GPS (Traces location of collars)
Conclusion: A smile can take you a long way, but will it take Daniel to victory with the rest of his team? After all... you can run, but you can't hide.
Mentor's Comment: A GPS? ... Seek and destroy

     RD5: Mikaela Warner
RD5: Mikaela Warner
Designated Weapon: Shuriken x4
Conclusion: An attractive young girl with an ambition to heal put into a show designed to hurt. Will Mikaela put aside her morals for the sake of survival?
Mentor's Comment: Finally, one with some actual drive. With a team like this, I think we'll need her medical knowledge.

White Team

     W0Mentor: The Writer
Rose Wolfe
The emotion, the plot, the drama—it's all so... inspirational. Now we just need a happy ending.
Team Conclusion: White Team's may not be packing the most firepower, but their potential for teamwork is unparalleled. A team of the elite children of society can only come together to show America how the big kids play this game.
Mentor's Comment: Instead of meeting up at a bar, this team looks to be already established as a force to reckon with. They've got what it takes to make this a good season. Stay tuned my next book featuring characters inspired by these five!

     W01: Timothy Walker
W01: Timothy Marcus Walker, Jr.
Designated Weapon: CZ 75
Conclusion: The stakes are high in this game, and Timothy's only got his life to bet. The gun gives him some good odds, but what do the fates have in store for him?
Mentor's Comment: A trickster and a gambler; I can see Timothy's gonna be one to shake things up in this game, as long as he doesn't shake up his team.

     W02: Renée Carlson
W02: Renée Carlson
Designated Weapon: Straight Razor
Conclusion: Renée may not have much of a weapon, but she's got her brains to lead her team into playing smart. Time can only tell how smart.
Mentor's Comment: Renée's exactly what a team needs: a typical headstrong heroine and leader. Almost like a royal princess. Speaking of princesses....

     W03: Kevin Fielding
W03: Kevin "Kev" Fielding
Designated Weapon: Night Vision Goggles (5 hour battery)
Conclusion: Kevin knows where he stands relative to his competitors, and he's not going to let them escape once he's set his sights on them.
Mentor's Comment: While the rest of his team is off enjoying the heroics, Kevin will be the one brooding in the shadows and getting his hands dirty to get things done. His team's lucky to have him.

  • Accidental Murder:
    • His killing of Bob Lazenby isn't so much deliberate as much as Kevin attempting to defend himself against his attacks while being too enraged to realize that he was throwing Bob into a tar pit.
    • Kevin himself has his collar detonated on pure accident as a result of a technician leaving his desk while not being mindful of his coffee cup falling over.
  • Death by Irony: Kevin does not like SOTF because he feels it is uncultured lowbrow garbage for the unwashed masses to enjoy. He not only dies on SOTF but he gets accidentally killed by a technician who left his desk to ogle the sexual content on display. If he knew, Kevin would probably be unamused.
  • Fan Hater: In-universe. He is not a big fan of SOTF and its audience, seeing it as Lowest Common Denominator trash that only appeals to lowbrow sensibilities. He views his fellow classmates who do enjoy the show as significantly lowering their standards.
  • Friends with Benefits: He has a sexual relationship with Jeanette Buendia, despite the two being of completely different personalities. Apparently April once walked in on them.
  • Genius Bruiser: Kevin Fielding is a 6'2", 235-pound bruiser who can easily toss people around (which proved fatal to Bob Lazenby) and in artwork bears some resemblance to Gaston. He is also well read, familiar with classical music, a skilled fencer, and had plans to become a lawyer prior to SOTF-TV. He was working on a plan to unite the Silver Dragon students against their Detroit opponents and possibly the producers of SOTF-TV itself when his collar was accidentally detonated.
  • Hurricane of Puns: After killing Bob Lazenby by drowning him in a tar pit, his narration makes a series of tar puns as he processes what happened.
Oh, gods. That was not supposed to happen. He hadn't - he didn't want to... he just meant to throw Lazenby away, make him calm down. He wasn't supposed to get pitched into the tar. Mason could see it was an accident, right? Just a tarrible accident. He wasn't so crude as to intentionally murder one of his own classmates. He felt like he was going to be slick.

...Wait a minute. Where was all this coming from? He'd just viscously - gah! - killed someone and all he could think of was pines - er, puns?
  • Night-Vision Goggles: His assigned weapon. He doesn't see the immediate use in it.
  • Old Money: He is a Fielding, one of a long line of lawyers, doctors, high-ranking soldiers, politicians, and other elites in society. He will make sure you will not forget this fact.
  • Undignified Death: Kevin was working on a plan to unite the Silver Dragon students and had enough skills to pull it off. Unfortunately, one of the technicians, Wayne Dupris, accidentally pressed a few buttons while leaving his desk to ogle the sex scenes. This caused Kevin’s collar to unceremoniously detonate without warning. For someone like Kevin, you honestly cannot get a more humiliating death.

     W04: Leopold Sutherland
W04: Leopold Sutherland
Designated Weapon: Dildo
Conclusion: Last season, the infamous dildo was used to make a small knife. What new ways can Leopold think of to use it this season?
Mentor's Comment: He's the weak link of the group, but redemption is possible for Leopold if he puts aside the drugs and works together with his team.

     W05: Mason Ross
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mason_ross.jpeg
W05: Mason Ross
Designated Weapon: Bereta 93R
Conclusion: He was kept off the court at home, but now Mason's in a game far deadlier than any game of basketball. His only way to win is to rely on his team and his gun arm.
Mentor's Comment: Mason can grow and develop in many different ways in this game. With his team, he can very well come out as the hero of the season.

Yellow Team

     YLW Mentor: The Corporate Sponsor
Wilson Howards
Verizon: With explosively good service!
Team Conclusion: Team Yellow's got everything they need: drive, brains, brawn, and charm. Once they get their act together, nothing can stand in their way!
Mentor's Comment: I have full confidence that Team Yellow will emerge as the winner of this game. Verizon would only have what they serve: the best.

     YLW1: Skyler Thsani
YLW1: Skyler Thsani
Designated Weapon: Composite Crossbow
Conclusion: He can start, but can he finish? Let's see if Skyler's stamina can last him to the end.
Mentor's Comment: Words of encouragement? Break a leg.

     YLW2: Odile Jones
YLW2: Odile Jones
Designated Weapon: Roll of Duct Tape
Conclusion: Odile can wind up another around her finger and play them like a fool, but she'll need to figure out some other way out from in front of the barrel of a gun.
Mentor's Comment: I have never ever seen this girl before in my life.

     YLW3: Sidney Rice
YLW3: Sidney Rice
Designated Weapon: Jericho .941
Conclusion: It's not a question of if, but when, Sidney will pull that gun on somebody worthy to be her competitor.
Mentor's Comment: Competitive girl with a good weapon sounds like a good combination.

     YLW4: Marcus Walker
YLW4: Marcus Walker
Designated Weapon: Airzooka
Conclusion: Being big and strong and easy to influence might make Marcus his team's dumb muscle. Can he show that he's more than just that?
Mentor's Comment: I wonder how much we can sell a Verizon branded Airzooka for...

     YLW5: Jacob Langston
YLW5: Jacob Langston
Designated Weapon: Sig Sauer P226
Conclusion: Jake's got a gun and he knows how to use it. Can he use it to wade through the bloodbath and bring his team to a win?
Mentor's Comment: Why would they put in a kid that's afraid of blood?
