Main Characters
Captain
The Player Character and protagonist of the game. They are the Captain of the Pangalactic Federation starship GFSS-3214F.- The Faceless: The few times the Captain is ever seen, his face is obscured. In Episode 2 chapter 6, an anime cinematic includes the Captain, but portion of the building is covering his face. And then during the illustrated cutscene of the last chapter of episode 2, show a glimpse of the Captain’s face, but overshadowed. The only other time he made an appearance was in the 2019 April Fools event stamp, but the Captain's face is a Banana.
- Featureless Protagonist: Reinforcing the fact that the player is the Captain, there's no telling what they look like.
- Hello, [Insert Name Here]: You get to name Captain when you start the game.
- He Who Must Not Be Seen: Some of the Anime cutscenes for Episode 2 and Manga side-stories (for episode 2) follow this. The Captain is obviously present in some of the scenarios, but they never show them.
- Mysterious Past: The Captain's past is completely unknown, however, the novel adaptation does give a bit of information. Your parents were part of the Pangalactic Federation so you spent your childhood in Theta Sector (specifically on planet Earth). Some time after, you became a soldier belonging to the 22nd Space Station, the same space station you used to live with your parents you were younger.
- Non-Action Guy: In terms of actual gameplay, he or she does not fight. Story-wise (and other events out of the main story) does state, that the Captain does indeed fight, with the novel and manga mentioning he does have a Phase Gun.
Evelysse

The heroine of the game. A mysterious girl that you encounter when a malfunctioning warp drive teleports you to a deserted planet. After being saved by the captain she decides to help the captain on his/her journey to return to Earth, while hoping to regain her own memories. She posesses a mysterious form of symbology which, allows her to summon warriors from across space and time.
- Hair of Gold, Heart of Gold: Has blonde hair which fits her personality.
- The Heroine: With a stamp and quote stating it.Evelysse: "Just as I thought! I'm the Heroine."
- Kiss of Life: Averted. During the 2018's summer event, the Captain ends up drowning when they get attacked by a monster underwater while racing Eve. They get the monster's attention thus allowing Eve to Escape. Despite getting nervous, she decides to do it, only to get interrupted by Coro who was called by Michael when trying to get help, which Coro then proceeds electrocute the Captain who regains consciousness.
- Lethal Chef: The "Surprise Christmas Party" event for Christmas, has shown us that Eve is not the best Cook and that food should be left for someone else in the ship to take care of. Even her "Winter Evelysse" unit mentions how bad she is. In the event however, she still proceeds to secretly cook a Banana Cake for the Captain.
Coro

An AI robot in charge of handling all of your ship’s operations. His official model name is OCAI-880-56, but the crew calls him “Coro” for short. This model was designed to communicate in an efficient and speedy manner, but has a tendency to develop an overly expressive personality, leading to a high rate of returns to the manufacturer. You, however, chose to keep Coro on your ship, and by doing so you’ve earned his undying loyalty and gratitude.

Verda Kleiman

A young girl who is doing her best to put an end to the chaos caused by the outbreak of the Devil's Plague on planet Leverance. Verda is a child genius who has been named a leading research expert on the Devil's Plague.
Tika Blunche
Voiced by: Aoi Yūki (Japanese)
A young girl, the Captain meets during their journey to return to Earth. Separated from her parents during an accident, she is put in a lifeboat and finds herself in the "GFSS-3214F". The captain makes the crew's next mission to reunite her with her parents. Makes her debut in the second episode -Twin Eclipse-.
- Kid Hero: She's 10-years old.
- Suspiciously Similar Substitute: To Precis F. Neumann from Star Ocean: The Second Story, thanks to her child-like appearance and fighting style involving robot-arms.
Recoro
Voiced by: Masako Nozawa (Japanese)
The A.I. installed on Lifeboat No. 56 of the lifeboat that Tika was on. It's official name is "RESCUE-AI-056". It is however, referred by the crew as “Recoro”. Makes its first appearance in the second season of Star Ocean: Anamnesis -Twin Eclipse-.Yrian Luxter

The youngest of five sons of an aristrocrat, belonging to the Luxter family. He travels alone, in order to stop a war that's been ocurring between neighbouring countries. Makes his first appearance in the second season of Star Ocean: Anamnesis -Twin Eclipse-.
- Affectionate Nickname: He's called "Yri-boy" by Welch.
- Childhood Friend: With Welch.
- Dual Wielding: His fighting style, with swords made specifically to him by Welch. Of course, the weapons can be changed.
- Ship Tease: 5 chapters into the second season, and there's plenty of it with Welch. Fanbase in Japan was quick enough to ship them too.

A young woman who leads Basshern army's main force. She joins the search for Tika's parents. She makes her first appearance in the second season of Star Ocean: Anamnesis -Twin Eclipse-.
- The Dreaded: Belonging to Basshern army, she's known as the "Witch of Beasts" and is feared by the people of Lubarica.
- Ms. Fanservice: With an oufit which doesn't cover a lot of her body and artwork makes sure you notice her rather large bust and long legs.
Masked Man/Ricardo Blunche
Voiced by: Tomokazu Sugita (Japanese)
The Masked Man is of mysterious origin and is met on the planet Daftine, joining the search for Tika's parents. The team is not sure if he is friend or foe. He's actually Tika's older brother. Makes his first appearance in the second season of Star Ocean: Anamnesis -Twin Eclipse-.
