The main protagonist. Nara is the leader of Melody. She is a klutzy yet sweet girl who has big dreams on becoming an idol. She gets in over her head a lot and may not have the brightest ideas, but her heart is in the right place. At the end of the series, she becomes the Muse.

Tropes:

  • Cute Clumsy Girl: Fits this trope to a tee.
  • Genki Girl: Completely hyper and bubbly.
  • Fangirl: To Friday, mostly Noah.
  • Nice Girl: Sweet-natured and always willing to do the right thing.
  • Rise Of Zit Boy: In episode 16, she gets a pimple and freaks. She constantly covers her face, tries putting on makeup, and even borrows a pimple cream from Lily and Rose, which ends up making the pimple bigger. In the end, she learns that pimple or no pimple, she's still herself, and she takes the stage with the zit still on her face.
  • Rose-Haired Sweetie: She has pink hair and is a good friend.

    See-a

Tropes:

  • Character Development: She used to be very stoic and never really knew how to show emotions properly. She also was rather rude to Nara. However, she finally opens up to her and becomes her friend, and she starts to show more emotion on stage.
  • Hair-Trigger Temper: Her temper flares up a ton if she's tested.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: See-a can be cold, hot-tempered, and unforgiving at times, but is caring and loyal friend to Nara, Yena, and eventually Hera.
  • Only Sane Woman: Falls into this category when Jin isn't around.
  • True Blue Femininity: Blue is her main color scheme.
  • Tsundere: She can be a Type A at times.

One of the main protagonists. Yena is the main singer in Melody. She's a sweet-hearted yet shy girl who has an amazing voice, but was too shy to sing in front of a crowd until Nara and See-a helped her out.

Tropes:

  • Ambiguously Gay: She clearly admires Casey, and in episode 17, she blushed multiple times around her.
  • Beautiful Singing Voice: She's the vocal in Melody for a reason.
  • Character Development: She was a very shy girl who could barely speak up for herself, and everyone at Shining Star School didn't even know who she was due to this fact. She never shared her voice with others and preferred singing alone. Eventually, when performing with Nara and See-a, she finally let her voice out and sang as loud as she could. After this, she became more confident in herself.

Once she does, while she can still be self-centered at times, she is a lot kinder and friendlier to the girls.
  • Characterization Marches On: In episode 2, she comforted Nara, who was upset about her poor grades, and reassured her, saying that she's talented. She even cheered Nara on before her performance. Her apearances after that have her being a jerk to Nara, bullying her whenever she can.
