    Dreamspawn Creature
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/pathfinder_dreamspawn_hungry_fog.PNG
A dreamspawn hungry fog.
Level Adjustment: +1
Alignment: Evil

When the lucid bodies of dreamers are killed in certain corrupted areas of the Dimension of Dreams, their nightmarish final moments can drag their murdering creature into the Dimension of Dreams and strand them between the sleeping and waking worlds. These creatures can physically manifest through the corpse of the dreamer they killed to create them and seek to bond to new corpses as the original body decays.////This template can be applied to any corporeal creature. The stats for this template can be found in The House on Hook Street or online here.

  • Possessing a Dead Body: A dreamspawn creature can withdraw wholly into the corpse of its host, where it can control its movements.

    Animate Dream

Level: 8
Alignment: Neutral Evil
Size: Medium

From time to time, when a powerfully imaginative sleeper wakes from a particularly vivid or unusual dream, a fragment of that dream lingers on the Ethereal Plane. To survive, this animate dream needs the power of living will, imagination, and emotion to sustain it, seeking out mortal minds to feed on.

  • Emotion Eater: An animate dream feeds on the terror fuelled by nightmares and fear.
  • Living Dream: Animate dreams are living beings created when especially strong and imaginative minds leave lasting imprints of their dreams on the Ethereal Plane, and need to constantly draw upon imagination and willpower to sustain and affirm their existence.
  • The Rival: The creature most similar to animate dreams is the ikelos; the former are nonspecific fragments of a single dream, while the latter are specific figures that build up strength across multiple dreams. Ikeloses and animate dreams each believe themselves to be superior to the other, and almost always fight when encountering each other.

    Dramofir

Level: 14
Alignment: True Neutral
Size: Large

  • Dream Stealer: Dramofirs wander across the multiverse in search of dreams to incorporate into their voluminous robes.

    Dreamscaper
Level: 7
Alignment: Chaotic Evil
Size: Large

  • Cannot Dream: Unable to dream themselves, dreamscapers are fascinated by and experiment with their collections of stolen dreams. They attempt to either synthesise dreams of their own or implant collected dreams within themselves.
  • Dream Stealer: Dreamscapers invade the dreams of sleeping mortals to scrape away at their minds and steal their dreams, leaving them raw and tired upon waking. After returning to the Dreamlands with their prizes, they store, trade or offer them up to heinous masters.
  • Eyes Do Not Belong There: The maggot-like dreamscaper's many eyes are surrounded by its mouth.
  • Lamprey Mouth: A dreamscaper has a circular, toothy mouth.

    Feargaunt
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/pathfinder_feargaunt.PNG
Level: 9
Alignment: Chaotic Evil
Size: Large

Nightmares that persist after the waking of their dreamer.

  • Nightmare Sequence: Their appearance in someone's dreamscape turns it into one of these.
  • Supernatural Fear Inducer: They have a Nightmare Aura that distorts the world around them with darkened shadows, subtle rot, and skewed perspective to all who view it, inflicting the shaken condition and preventing dreamers from accomplishing unrealistic feats.
  • Touch of Death: Feargaunts have an incorporeal touch attack that deals high untyped damage, bypasses any damage resistance, and deals Charisma bleed if the target is suffering from a fear affect.

    Ikelos
Level: 7
Alignment: Chaotic Evil
Size: Medium

  • Emotion Eater: Ikeloses draw sustenance from fear.
  • Living Dream: Ikeloses begin life in dreamscapes as recurring nightmares. When they've fed on enough fear, they create bodies from planar gossamer that can survive even as their dreamscapes crumble. Eventually, a mature ikelos rides its dreamer back to the Universe.
  • The Rival: The creature most similar to ikeloses is the animate dream; the latter are nonspecific fragments of a single dream, while the former are specific figures that build up strength across multiple dreams. Ikeloses and animate dreams each believe themselves to be superior to the other, and almost always fight when encountering each other.
  • Supernatural Fear Inducer: An ikelos's gaze can paralyse foes with fear and is often enough to extract the emotion it needs.

  • Public Domain Character: They're originally from the Cthulhu Mythos.

    Oneirogen
Level: 2
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Size: Medium

  • Empty Shell: Oneirogens are little more than living husks. Their grip on any reality has been erased, and what little remains of their minds is bent on self-preservation. Most lack enough sense of self to bother with basic needs like eating.
  • Was Once a Man: Oneirogens were once mortals who suffered a terrible curse, a sliver-sized tear between planes that emanates a deluge of planar power that destroys everything they once were and turns them into slaves of uncontrolled planar might.

  • Blood Lust: It's not just that they need to drink blood to live, they genuinely love it. Among their own kind they talk about blood in the same way wine tasters discus their favorite vintages, seemingly never loosing interest in the topic.
  • Cold-Blooded Torture: They're adept at using it to extract information.
  • Combat Tentacles: They can make a single tentacle attack every round that inflicts bleed damage and paralyzes targets.
  • Healing Factor: They have fast healing 10.
  • Mind Rape: When they're finished with a victim and mere death isn't appropriate, they telepathically raze their minds to drive them insane or leave them an Empty Shell.

  • Vampiric Draining: Every creature within 20 feet of a scarlet walker is immediately subject to its Blood Drinking Gaze.
  • Womb Level: On Leng they construct immense hives out of coagulated blood and organic tissues.
  • You Have Outlived Your Usefulness: No one ever walks out of their interrogations, whether because they're a corpse or too mentally broken to move.

    Zoog
Level: 1 (individual), 8 (swarm)
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
