One of the peasants of Sheriff's group. Stachu chooses him as his apprentice.

  • The Chosen One: Played for laughs. His title indicates that he's the prophesied hero able to defeat The Beast. Too bad he's pretty much useless.

  • Impaled with Extreme Prejudice: How Waldorf kills her. When she found he's a Prince, she ran to him, claiming she loves him. He embraces her and pierces her with a sword.
  • Too Dumb to Live: Running towards a psychopath with a sword wasn't the smartest thing to do it. To be fair, Waldorf didn't directly showed his villainy in that moment and she likely idealisticaly believed he will be a good person.

    Mariella

Mariella, the Fire Sorceress

Played by: Magdalena Sadowska
The only magic user in Sheriff's group. She uses a Fire Magic.

  • The Lancer: To Sheriff, as the only reasonable person in the group.
  • Only Sane Woman: She is significantly more reasonable than other members of her group.
  • Playing with Fire: Her Magic element is fire.
  • Red Is Heroic: She wears red clothes as a sign of her Fire Magic.
  • White Magician Girl: The good magic user to The Witch's Black Magician Girl.

The Warlock's Group

  • Neck Snap: How Stachu kills him. For good, this time.
  • Non-Action Big Bad: He serves as the main villain of the movie, but it's his minions doing all the dirty work. The one time he is actually shown fighting is in the flashback.

  • The Paragon Always Rebels: He used to be Stachu's apprentice. However, for unknown reasons, he betrayed him and became his greatest enemy.
  • Take That!: His full name is reference to Anna Grodzka, transgender former member of polish parliament (Krzysztof was her name before transition). Same with his searching for Gender Amulet able to turn man into a woman.
  • Tom the Dark Lord: The Warlock is named... Krzysztof (Polish equivalent for "Christopher")

  • Karmic Death: Airgard pierces him with his own sword, in a similar way he killed Stachu.
  • Nice Job Fixing It, Villain: He killed Stachu, which allowed him to defeat Death and take his powers. Thanks to that, he can seal Warlock's soul.
  • Off with His Head!: How he kills a peasant in one village. The blow is so strong that the head flies to the air.
  • Only in It for the Money: The only reason he joins The Warlock is his promised money.
  • Pre-Mortem One-Liner: Before he pierces Stachu with katana, he says this famous quote:
    Hello, Prince.

Prince Waldorf's Group

    In general
The followers of Prince Waldorf, accompanying him on his mission to find Prince Bogusław (and secretly kill him). They serve as the secondary antagonistic faction of the movie.
  • Evil Counterpart: To Sheriff's Group.
  • Freudian Trio:
    • Arrogant Waldorf is the id.
    • Skilled and calm Anna is ego.
    • Apathetic Squire is superego.
  • Terrible Trio: Similarily to Warlock's group, they are made of Waldorf and his two underlings.
  • Two Guys and a Girl: Male Prince Waldorf and Squire to female Anna the Fearless.
  • Villain with Good Publicity: Implied. They are in service of respected King Leon, which makes them look like a good people. They're not.

    Prince Waldorf

Prince Waldorf, the future ruler of the North

Played by: Dawid Pokusa
Son of King Leon, brother of Princess Bogusława and step-brother of Prince Bogusław. Sent by his father to find Bogusław, he secretly plans to kill him and take the throne for himself.
  • Ambiguously Gay: There are some hints about his sexuality. His quite effeminate, showing no interest with women and Stachu even calls him "a pussy" at one point.
  • Ambition Is Evil: He desires the throne, so he'll do anything to claim it, including murdering his own step-brother.
  • Aristocrats Are Evil: He is a prince and second in-line to the throne. He's also one of the main antagonists of the movie.
  • Benevolent Boss: One of his few redeeming qualities. He has a good relationship with both of his underlings and respects their skills.
  • Big Bad: Of Sheriff's group storyline.
  • Blood Knight: He enjoys his fight with Sheriff to the last moment. After he kills Irina, he even licks the blood from his sword.
  • Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass: He looks like a silly, spoiled royal brat at first. In fact, he's a skilled fighter and a psycho.
  • Dirty Coward: Subverted when he fights Sheriff by himself. Played straight when The Witch appears and he runs away. It can be somewhat justified, as he was very likely tired from his previous fight and saw how dangerous The Witch can be.
  • Evil Counterpart: To Sheriff. Both are group leaders looking for Bogusław, skilled in a swordplay and having a woman as their right hand.
  • Expy: Of Joffrey I Baratheon from A Song of Ice and Fire. Both are blonde Psychopathic Manchildren princes, whose fathers are hedonists, and view themselves as The Un Favourite. The differences are: a) Joffrey is much younger, b) Waldorf is much more dangerous in a fight than Joffrey and is actually useful.
  • Faux Affably Evil: He is polite when he needs it, but is actually a Blood Knight maniac.
  • The Fighting Narcissist: He's a spoiled royal heir, but is very skilled with a sword.
  • Hero Killer: Twice. He murders Irina by piercing her with his sword. Then, he kills Sheriff in a duel. This actually makes him the only villain to kill two heroes and one of the villains to actually kill the protagonist, along with The Witch who killed Mariella.
  • Karma Houdini: After all the horrible things he did, including killing Irina and Sheriff, he still gets away it.
  • Know When to Fold 'Em: He doesn't take any offenses lightly, but even he knows that messing with Archmage Stachu Jones is easy way to get killed.
  • Light Is Not Good: He wears white and silver clothes and is one of the evilest characters in the movie.
  • Psychopathic Manchild: He sometimes acts like a real child, for example when telling his underlings to be careful, so the cone won't fall into his shoe. Word of God also states that he still has an old plushie of his.
  • Royals Who Actually Do Something: It may not be obvious because of his schemes, but he had been searching Bogusław himself, with only two bodyguards and gave Sheriff a decent fight.
  • The Un Favourite: How he views himself. Prince Bogusław, a bastard, is a throne successor, while Waldorf, the legitimate son, is the second in-line.
  • Villain Has a Point: While he would very likely be a terrible king, he's right that drinking and lazy Bogusław wouldn't be much better.

    Anna

Anna the Fearless Archer

Played by: Katarzyna Zalewska
Waldorf's right hand and an archer.
  • The Ace: Not only she's a skilled archer, but also a tracker with a knife proficiency.

  • Co-Dragons: With The Squire to Prince Waldorf.
  • The Smurfette Principle: The only female member of Waldorf's group.

    Squire

Squire

Played by: Bartosz Puch
A squire in service of Prince Waldorf.
  • Co-Dragons: With Anna to Prince Waldorf.
  • Dumb Muscle: Not as drastic example like many others, but his mind is just very simple.
  • Only Known by Their Nickname: Squire is his only name.
  • Servile Snarker: His replies for some of idiotic things said by Waldorf can be quite sarcastic.
  • Uncertain Doom: Similarily to Anna, the last time we see him is when the Sheriff throws him to the tree and knocks him down. It is unknown whethe he survived or not.

Royal Family

    In general
The royal family ruling the land of North.
  • The Alcoholic: King Leon and Prince Bogusław are known for their love of alcohol.
  • Nice Mean And In Between: Nice Bogusława, mean Waldorf and in-between Bogusław.
  • Royals Who Actually Do Something: Subverted with King Leon (a hedonist), Prince Bogusław (an alcoholic) and Princess Bogusława (a doormat). Played straight with Prince Waldorf, who, unfortunately, is also a homicidal maniac.

    King Leon

King Leon

The current King of the North and the father of Prince Bogusław, Prince Waldorf and Princess Bogusława.
  • The Alcoholic: He absolutely loves booze and passed it to his bastard.
  • The Corrupter: He awakened love for alcohol in Bogusław and had been participating in hedonistic parties in his castle. Bogusław was eventually able to free from his father's influence, but instead fell into an ordinary alcoholic role.
  • Expy: Of Robert I Baratheron from A Song of Ice and Fire. A hedonistic, drinking king with three blonde children: a naive daughter, a bastard son and a maniac legitimate child.
  • The Ghost: He hasn't appeared in the film and is only mentioned in the movie and supplementary materials.
  • The Hedonist: He's known for throwing a massive orgies in his castle. It's them that cause Bogusław to leave him.

    Prince Bogusław

Prince Bogusław

Played by: Kajetan Litwinowicz
Bastard son of King Leon and step-brother of Prince Waldorf and Princess Bogusława. His departure from the castle starts the plot of the movie.
  • The Alcoholic: His primary quality. In two of three scenes where he appears he's bloody drunk. His alcohol abuse and greed are the two things starting the plot.
  • Bastard Bastard: While he's not a villain, he's a dumb, alcoholic idiot who sold a powerful magical artifact for vodka.
  • Dirty Coward: When Mariella fights the Witch, he immediately hides behind the tree. He was probably to drunk to escape or even think about it.
  • The Hedonist: Subverted. Unlike his father, he hates castle orgies and quickly becomes tired with them. This tiredness is what convinced him to leave the castle.
  • Manipulative Bastard: He convinced Bogusława to keep his departure in secret, took her amulet to drink it and promised to return to her. What a bastard.
  • Unwitting Instigator of Doom: He convinced his sister to give him an amulet, which turned out to be the artifact Warlock has been looking for. This causes the appearance of the Beast, Witch and Sheriff's party. If Bogusław only had more money to buy booze and didn't take his sister necklace, everything would be fine.

    Prince Waldorf

Prince Waldorf, future ruler of the North

See his entry under Prince Waldorf's Group.

    Princess Bogusława

Princess Bogusława

Played by: Natalia Rutkowska
Daughter of King Leon and sister of Prince Waldorf and Bogusław. She was the previous wielder of Gender Amulet.
  • Bit Character: She appears only in one scene in the beginning.
  • Extreme Doormat: Her naivety and kindness made her an easy pawn to manipulate for Bogusław. He convinced her to keep his departure from the castle in secret and took the artifact from her (to sell it for booze) and promised he will return (he won't). Poor girl.
  • Hair of Gold, Heart of Gold: As opposed to Bogusław and Waldorf who are also blondes but bastards (literally in Bogusław's case), Bogusława is a kind person. Too bad she's so naive.
  • Nice Girl: In contrast to manipulative Bogusław and homicidal Waldorf, she's really kindhearted person, even loving her illegitimate brother.
  • Small Role, Big Impact: She gave her necklace to Bogusław, who decided to drink it. It starts the plot of the whole movie.
  • The Smurfette Principle: She's the only female member of royal family.

The Boar Clan

    In general
The Druid clan who tried to claim Stachu's first. When he stopped them, they blocked the Moon Gate, which he needed to teach Airgard Moon Magic.
  • Druid: All of them, though in a very hippie style.
  • Mass Teleportation: Their magic cones allow them to teleport. They pull the teleportation twice on Stachu - though it works only once.
  • Out-Gambitted: When Stachu confronts them the second time, they try to escape by using magic cones. Unfortunately, Stachu gathered all cones in one place, which means they can't run. The whole group is eradicated in a few minutes.

    Wild Boar

Wild Boar

The leader of The Boar Clan.

Other characters
