- Meaningful Name: He's named after 2 alcoholic beverages.
Iliya
- Expy: A very obvious Shout-Out to Draco Malfoy, what with his appearance, haughty personality and racism, the only difference being that he's a vampire as well as vaguely Russian. His father is also a thinly-veiled Lucius.
- Fantastic Racism: He doesn't have a very high opinion of "weak" humans… while not being the physically strongest around.
- Four-Temperament Ensemble: Choleric in the levGuilty group.
- Gender-Blender Name: He has a vaguely Russian name that is feminine by Russian standards. Though "Ilya" is a masculine name, a surname that ends with an -a sound is exclusively feminine. If his surname were to be masculine, it should only be "Yelesin".
- Sensual Slav: Sure, he may be an unlikable jerk, but there's no denying that he's as physically attractive as anyone else.

The eldest son of a noble family from which many talented mages have hailed, an overly Japanese guy who strictly abides by a Bushido-fueled lifestyle and isn't exactly the brightest bulb.Voiced by: Tomohito Takatsuka

- Antiquated Linguistics: Being a noble, he sometimes employs slightly stilted and archaic vocabulary, for example sonata and onushi pronouns.
- Blue Blood: He is an aristocrat.
- Cloudcuckoolander: A proud, disciplined noble and by all means a capable guy, but does stupid things more often than not.
- Does Not Like Spam: Western food.
- Iaijutsu Practitioner: His attack animation for the Tuning Masachika card.
- Japanese Pronouns: first-person ware and soregashi, second-person onushi and sonata.
- Long-Haired Pretty Boy: He has the second longest hair in the entire cast, losing only to Oscar.

- Allergic to Love: He's afraid of women, the result of excessive adoration bordering on sexual abuse by maids and noble daughters. Not that he'd ever admit it, however…
- Blue Blood: He is an aristocrat.
- Chick Magnet: So much so that it ends up screwing him up mentally.
- Dragged into Drag: He's triggered by the sight of frilly dresses, this being the reason.Mikage: Isn't that a cute skirt? That was what Ciel-sama wore when he was a kid.
- Four-Temperament Ensemble: Melancholic in the levGuilty group.
- Mean Boss: Doesn't treat the Vice-prefect Mikage in the nicest of ways, constantly yelling at him and berating him. Not that Mikage minds, however.
- The Napoleon: Very short (noticeably shorter than Mikage) and almost perpetually grouchy.

- Gentleman and a Scholar: A mild-mannered and polite man who came from a scholar family.
- Lethal Chef: He normally isn't one if his Internal Affairs lines are anything to go by, but Ciel implies he has had his moments.Ciel: How the hell does he blow stuff up making sweets?
- Mad Scientist/Mad Doctor: He enjoys conducting shady medical/magical experiments as well as turning others into his test subjects.Mikage: Have you seen Alfons-san anywhere? There's a medicine I'd like to test…
- Perpetual Smiler: Almost always seen with a charming smile upon his face, which accentuates his mysterious and shady nature.
