  • Affectionate Nickname: Joe calls her "Katie".

  • Connected All Along: Joe is surprised to learn that he was friends with Heather before her death.

    Doc Louis

An American boxer.

  • The Bus Came Back: After disappearing following the toddlerhood chapters, Doc reappears in the Ma Fille finale, this time with Mac by his side. He is restored as a recurring character in Shining and Sweet.
  • The Paragon: He was the World Champion for a period, and in his debut chapter, he encourages Joe to make his daughter proud.

A British boxer. Initially from an unspecified London-based league, he later transferred to the WVBA.

  • Embarrassing Nickname: He's not fond of being called Narcis.
  • Significant Birthdate: The Fifth of November, also known as Guy Fawkes Night in the United Kingdom. With the holiday's focus on fireworks and bonfires, it's all too fitting for Narcis' fiery disposition and explosive temper when he's in the ring.

    Dragon (UNMARKED SPOILERS)

Initially a student at Sutton Park School, Aran Ryan is currently an Irish boxer in the World Circuit.

  • Canon Character All Along: He first appeared in "Field Trip", but his true identity wasn't revealed until "Old-New Guy".
  • Heel Realization: His defeat at the hands of Chaton Cheri hammers it in to him that he's become the bully he sought to destroy.
  • Used to Be a Sweet Kid: First appearing as an innocent child, Aran later grew up into a brutish bully.

  • Death by Childbirth: In "Custody Battle", this was revealed to be her fate. Unlike many examples, she survived for a few months before the complications eventually did her in. In "Custody Battle", Laura weaponizes this information in another attempt to get custody of Katrina.
  • Hair of Gold, Heart of Gold: From what little is described of her, she was a blonde woman who doted on her daughter.
  • Small Role, Big Impact: Her death is what kickstarts the story, as Joe must take in Katrina.

    Dr. Pearson
