Here's a (small) list of characters from Lucas the Spider.

Lucas and Friends

    open/close all folders
    Lucas

Voiced By: Lucas Slice (2017-2021), Simon Webster (2021-present)

The main character of the series, Lucas is a young jumping spider who wants to make friends.

    Findley

Voiced By: Christian Campbell (2021-present)

A fly that first appeared in the episode New Friend. Typically makes buzzing noises when he talks. He originally went by "Bzzt", until he was given a proper name in "Fun with Findley".
  • Big Eater: Manages to eat a whole plate of chocolate covered strawberries with Lucas, and managed not to get bloated. Also, he doesn't hesitate to eat out of the garbage. Justified since he's a fly, and they can eat anything.
  • Butt-Monkey: Findley has a lot of moments like this throughout the TV series. For example, what happens every time he eats a snowflake in the episode, "Bye Bye Bee".
Findley: [after eating a snowflake, his eyes turn from yellow to bright blue] ARGH!! BRAIN FREEZE! BRAIN FREEZE!!! [Shivers]
  • Characterization Marches On: He's a lot more outgoing and hyper in the Cartoonito shorts. One can assume his nerves eased after he realised Lucas had no intent on eating him.
  • Genki Guy: He likes flying around excitedly and dives into new situations happily.
  • Lovable Coward: Much humour stems from Findley being paranoid that Lucas will eat him. Justified since Lucas's species is notably predatory, but fortunately, Lucas is an herbivorous jumping spider.
  • Odd Friendship: Lucas wants to be friends with Findley even though spiders normally eat flies. Lampshaded in "I'm Starving".
  • Promoted to Opening Titles: In "I'm Starving", courtesy of Lucas carrying him onstage.
    Lucas: New friend!
  • Satellite Character: Enforced in the original shorts, as he was the only other CGI Funny Animal besides Lucas, existing largely to give him someone else to talk to.
  • Suddenly Voiced: He initially only seems to make buzzing sounds. However by his second appearance, he does talk.
  • Vocal Evolution: He originally sounded exactly like Lucas until "Fun with Findley", where he was given a more unique voice.
  • What Measure Is a Non-Cute?: Findley is a housefly, yet he's not all that less endearing than Lucas.
  • Who Names Their Kid "Dude"?: Lucas thinks "Bzzt" is the fly's actual name and points out how weird it is. His proper name is revealed to be Findley.

    Arlo

Voiced By: Ethan MacIver-Wright

A blue owl who first debuted in "Arlo's Lullaby".
  • Berserk Button: Contradicting him about anything will cause him to shout.
  • Cute Owl: With the art style of the show, Arlo is definitely adorable looking.
  • Funny Animal: Even more so than the bugs as Arlo's design is more anthropomorphised and cartoony.
  • Gentle Giant: Relatively compared to Lucas and Findley, Arlo is huge but rather gentle and meek.
  • Odd Friendship: Much like Lucas' own friendship with Findley, as owls have bugs like spiders on their diet.

    Bodhi

Voiced By: Evie Loiselle

A chill chameleon who first debuted in "Extreme Bodhi".

    Avocado

Voiced By: Antonina Battrick

A small French bulldog.

    Dimples

Voiced By: McKenzie Cornelius

An energetic fish who lives in a tank.
  • Attention Deficit... Ooh, Shiny!: Will often randomly get sidetracked in the middle of a sentence or get distracted by something in her tank.
  • Genki Girl: She's often excited and happy.
  • Ham and Deadpan Duo: She's very quirky and expressive, while Weebiscuit, who she lives with, is serious and doesn't even speak.

    Weebiscuit
A broody seahorse who lives with Dimples.
  • Ham and Deadpan Duo: He's broody, serious, and silent, while Dimples, who he lives with, is bubbly and enthusiastic.
  • Silent Snarker: He never speaks but he makes judgmental expressions.

Characters from 2017-2021 Shorts

    The "Polar Bear"
A "polar bear" (actually a dog) that Lucas first encountered in the episode Polar Bear.
  • Big Friendly Dog: Is more interested in laying around on the kitchen floor than he is actively pursuing Lucas. In fact, the only time he has chased Lucas so far was because he was curiously following the tiny spider that just booped him.
  • Canis Major: Well, at least from Lucas's perspective. He's a normal-sized lab from a human's perspective.
  • Non-Standard Character Design: Unlike Lucas and Bzzt, the "Polar Bear" is a live action dog.

    The Human
The owner (or at least one of the owners) of the house Lucas dwells in.
  • Gentle Giant: Given how he opted to simply capture Lucas rather than harm him, he may be an example of this.
  • The Ghost: The human almost never actually appears in the shorts. About the only time we've seen him is in the episode Captured where he appears as a blurry silhouette that observes the captured Lucas.

    The Bird
A bird that stole Lucas's harp at the end of the episode Encore.
  • Feathered Fiend: Its only time onscreen is to steal Lucas's handmade harp for no apparent reason other than it could.
  • Jerkass: Stole Lucas's harp for apparently no reason. Fortunately, Lucas did recover said harp from its nest in Naptime.
