- Well-Intentioned Extremist: He tried to make sure Samuel never knew his full powers and lied to him his entire life, which helped contribute to Samuel's instability.
Edgar
Edgar (Ray Park)
- Ability: Super-Speed
Samuel's right-hand man, he is in love with Lydia and only wants to ensure the safety of the Sullivan Brothers Carnival and its people at any cost.
Associated Tropes:
- Anti-Villain: Type IV.
- The Atoner: He wants to make up for the bad things he has done in his past, but Samuel keeps forcing him to commit more evil acts. Edgar eventually manages to atone by helping to rescue the other carnies from Samuel.
- Ax-Crazy: He appears to be this at first, but it quickly becomes clear that Samuel is forcing him to act like one.
- The Dragon: To Samuel.
- Heel–Face Turn: After teetering on the edge of one for most of Volume 5, he turns Face to help Noah save New York City and rescue the other carnies from Samuel.
- Hitman with a Heart: He wants out. He gets his wish when HRG and Claire re-appear at the carnival and he helps them get the rest of the carnies away from Samuel.
- Knife-Throwing Act: His gig at the Sullivan Brothers Carnival, and he often throws knives when fighting.

Lydia
Lydia (Dawn Olivieri)

A woman who works at the carnival with Samuel and Edgar. Her ability allows her to feel the emotions, thoughts, hopes, desires, and dreams of others.
Associated Tropes:
- The Empath: Lydia had the ability to feel the thoughts, hopes, dreams, emotions and or desires of others. Her most common manifestation of this ability is through various tattoos on her body depicting different people.
- Meaningful Name: Her power works through her tattoos.

- Power Tattoo: When her ability is combined with Samuel's, she can project peoples greatest desires or a person they need to find onto her back with the tattoos.
- Ship Tease: With both Samuel and Edgar. And possibly Sylar...
- Single Mom Stripper: Kind of. She has a teenage daughter named Amanda and a job taking off most of her clothes.
- Star-Crossed Lovers: With Edgar.
- Teen Pregnancy: She had Amanda as a teenager.

Eli
Eli (Todd Stashwick)
- Ability: Self-replication
Samuel's new right-hand man after Edgar discovers that he murdered his own brother and quits. He had been exiled by Joseph, but returned after learning Samuel had taken over.
Associated Tropes:
- Affably Evil: In his interactions with Tracy. He obviously likes her, but that doesn't stop him from turning on her when Samuel orders him to.
- Con Man
- The Dragon: Replaces Edgar as Samuel right hand man.

- Self-Duplication: Eli has the ability to clone himself. Eli seems to be referred to by his clones as the "Omega" or the "Prime" and is able to produce hundreds of clones. All of Eli's clones are hollow on the inside and share a sort of collective mind. Eli's clones are able to travel vast distances away from the Prime, but they cannot stay away for long and feel the urge to return to him after a certain amount of time.
Rebecca Taylor
Rebecca Taylor (Tessa Thompson, Zoe Bolden (at age five))
- Ability: Invisibility
Associated Tropes:
- Aborted Arc: Her plan of revenge against Noah disappears with her.
- Ax-Crazy: She is also somewhat mentally unstable since the death of her father when she was five.
- Dark Action Girl
- Honorary Uncle: She refers to both Samuel and Eli as uncle.
- Invisibility: Becky has the ability to turn invisible. She used this ability to kill Annie by pushing her out of an open window, as well as sneak around Claire's room undetected. She was also able to extend her ability to objects she holds.
- Karma Houdini: Thankfully averted in the Graphic Novel.

- Revenge by Proxy: She has no problem to kill innocent girls with the excuse of attack Claire and Noah.
- You Killed My Father: Towards Noah Bennet.
- What Happened to the Mouse?: She disappeared halfway through Volume 5, and only showed up again the graphic novels trying to kill Tracy. Becky is frozen in mid-air by Tracy and her fate is unknown.

- Parental Abandonment: Her dad wanted to run out on Lydia when he discovered she was pregnant, and since Lydia could feel it with her ability, she left first and then left Amanda with her sister.
- Power Incontinence: She has a lot of trouble controlling her ability, and accidentally blows up cars, animals, and Caleb whenever she gets angry.
- The Runaway: She ran away from home to try to find her mother, Lydia.
