  • Forgotten First Meeting: He has forgotten that, on the execution of one of his friends for a terrorist attack he didn't commit, he actually met Nataliya (who was assigned as his friend's executioner). He has also forgotten that he previous met Zeke, who turns out to have been one of his students prior to the Killing Game.
  • Go Out with a Smile: As he was about to be inevitably crushed to death by falling debris, he laid down on the floor and smiled right until his death.
  • Laser-Guided Amnesia: Just like the previous Killing Game, he and his group had their memories tampered with by the Mastermind. For his case, he had forgotten about the death of one of his friends for a false crime (which played as a motive to kill Magnus), as well as forgotten his initial meetings with Nataliya and Zeke.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: He mainly killed Magnus because the latter practically left the former's student and friend to die. So he became horrified when he found out that Magnus only abandoned Blaise's friend because Magnus was being blackmailed by someone who held Magnus' friend, the Ultimate Nomad, as hostage.
  • Revenge: He killed Magnus, partly because he thinks he might be the traitor, but mainly to avenge his student and close friend who was executed for a crime he didn't commit as a result of Magnus refusing to testify on his friend's defense in court.

Pierce

Ultimate Lawyer

Voiced by: Jace

  • Catchphrase: Whenever he says a pun, he says "Hehe... [[insert pun word]]."
  • Covert Pervert: He seems to enjoy making puns (initial or not), some of them containing an underlying... dirty meaning.
  • Crusading Lawyer: Played with. On one hand, he is definitely greedy and likes to bind people to a contract that will benefit him in one way or another. On the other hand, he is in no way an Amoral Attorney and he possesses standards that will left him abandon both his greed and his contracts in doing what is right.
  • Everyone Has Standards: Despite his greed and obsessions for contracts, he is willing to throw both away for the s of sake justice when somebody is murdered.
  • Expy: His clothes gave off some resembles to Miles Edgeworth from "Ace Attorney". He even mentioned having an acquaintance whose advice would be 'turning their thinking around' in dire situations or roadblocks.
  • Luminescent Blush: He gives these off, though, it is usually because he is laughing at his jokes, some of them being obliviously dirty.
  • Skewed Priorities: Subverted. Sigmund was surprised that Pierce cared more about his classmate being murdered than the latter's contract being ruined as a result of his classmate's death, but Pierce made it clear that even he has standards.

Phoenix

  • Bunny-Ears Lawyer: Despite believing that an imaginary rivalries out to get him, he still a very talented doctor.
  • Cool Mask: He wears a surgical mask that is always hanging under his chin.
  • Cruel and Unusual Death: He had his heart severed from the rest of his arteries, leaving him to die from blood loss in the most twisted way possible. And then, he got his already severed heard stabbed by a branched sword.
  • Death by Irony: He died as a result of having his heart severed from the rest of his arteries. Normally, besides accidents, a heart is severed from the rest of its arteries during a heart transplant by doctors.
  • Forgotten First Meeting: Phoenix was Mona's doctor during the time when Mona was struggling with her body's experimentation. He took care of her and tried to find a cure towards Mona's "kill code".
  • Hidden Depths: It is revealed that the reason he developed this weird belief of 'having an arch nemesis' is because he created it as a means of motivating himself to finding a cure to nullify the effects of Mona's kill code.
    • He is surprisingly knowledgeable about sleeping gas. He claimed it is because he's a doctor (referring to a doctor's knowledge of anesthetics) and that is comes with his experience with his fight against his 'arch nemesis'.
  • Laser-Guided Amnesia: Due to his memories being tampered, he had forgotten that he was Mona's doctor and was searching for a cure to stop her mind-controlled killing urges. However, he still retains his belief of having an 'arch-nemesis', despite forgetting that he created his 'arch-nemesis' fantasy as a means to motivate himself to cure Mona.
  • The Paranoiac: Thinks that there is a massive conspiracy against him.
  • Properly Paranoid: While he made up the existence of the 'arch nemesis', it was created based on the people responsible for experimenting on Mona and turning her into a mind-controlled assassin/serial killer.
  • Skewed Priorities: When he thought his clinic might have been burnt down, he actually became excited as this means he could go work in a fast food restaurant called Wcdonald's.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: He is a big fan of Wcdonald's food.

  • Jerkass Has a Point: While he is no jerk, he made it pretty bluntly after the first class trial that he has not forgiven Nataliya for trying to get everyone killed in the previous trial, going as after as suspect her of being the supposed 'traitor'. Despite how rude and insensitive his words may be at the time, it's understandable that he would be distrustful and angry towards Nataliya after what happened.
  • The Resenter: He was angry at Nataliya, blaming her for Blaise's death.

  • Headphones Equal Isolation: He wears earbuds in his ears, and he seems less social the most of the group.
  • Iconic Item: He carries around a telescope, like the ones commonly used in sailing ships.
  • I Regret Nothing: He claimed that he doesn't regret abandoning Blaise's friend to be falsely prosecuted and consequently executed. Though, this is later revealed that he did this to save his friend, who was held hostage, so his statement of having no regrets may be up to debate.
  • "Not So Different" Remark: He said that he and his eventual killer, Blaise, aren't that different because they would both kill someone or leave someone to die for the sake of someone important to them.
  • Stepford Smiler: He claimed he had no idea where his best friend, the Ultimate Nomad, is... but reassures that he will be alright... However, he knows that his friend is in fact kidnapped and being held as a hostage to blackmail him.
  • Super-Hearing: He is seen to be able to hear the sounds of people walking around and the sounds of a lockpick inside a lock with good clarity.
  • Tattoo as Character Type: He has a tattoo of a ship's steering wheel on his left arm, which reference his talent as the Ultimate Navigator.
  • We Hardly Knew Ye: He is the first victim of the game.
  • Well-Intentioned Extremist: The only reason he abandoned Blaise's friend, which led the latter being found guilty for a crime he didn't commit and be executed for it, is because he was being blackmailed into silence or else his best friend, the Ultimate Nomad, would be killed.

  • Sir Swears-a-Lot: When angry or low on caffeine, he tends to lash verbally at the others.
  • Sleeps with Both Eyes Open: Another symptom he suffers when he runs out of coffee is that he sleeps with his eyes open.
  • Supreme Chef: Just because he is the Ultimate Barista, it doesn't mean he isn't amazing in his culinary skills for different dishes.
  • Weaksauce Weakness: As mentioned in Must Have Caffeine, he will suddenly fall asleep without warning if he runs out of coffee in his body.

Zeke

Ultimate E-Sports Gamer

Voiced by: Tyler

  • Catchphrase: "Juuust Kidding"
  • The Gadfly: He often needles and provokes the other characters, particularity Blaise due to his dislike of teachers.Though in actuallity, this isn't entirely true, as it turns out that Blaise used to be he his teacher in school.
  • Jerkass Has a Point: During the second Class Trial, Zeke had no problem launching suspicions on Mii-Yu (when she confesses to being near the crime scene during the time of the murder), despite Grace's speech about needing to trust one another. However, despite how insensitive he sounds, he makes a good point on how important it is for Mii-Yu need to earn their trust first before they could dismiss her as a suspect. As he points it, "trust is the destination, not the road itself".
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Being rude and even having cynical views in the class trials, he does show genuine care for the people around him.
    • For Blaise, he tried to take the blame as the blackened in order to prevent Blaise from being executed as the killer, despite the fact that it would lead to both his death and the death of the rest of the class. It turns out that this is because Blaise was actually Zeke's teacher.
    • For Levitica, when Levitica claimed to be no longer able to hear the 'whispers' after killing Phoenix (implying that she may have been abandoned by her gods due to her sin), Zeke claimed that Levitica 'can' hear the 'whispers', but she chose to block them out (which leads to Levitica considering that he may be right, but she is only able to hear them barely). One of the students believed that Zeke said this as a means of reassuring Levitica that she hasn't been abandoned by her gods.
  • The Nicknamer: Nicknames the other characters, such as calling Sigmund "Mr. Angry Stick Man".
  • Suspiciously Similar Substitute: Has a similar look and personality of Kokichi Omua.
  • Well-Intentioned Extremist: He attempts to take the blame as the blackened in the first Class Trial in order to protect the true killer, Blaise. Unfortunately, Blaise himself stops him from succeeding.

    Female Participants

Nataliya

Ultimate Warden

Voiced by: Eli

  • And Now for Someone Completely Different: She takes over as the protagonist from Chapter 2, after Blaise is executed.
  • Berserk Button: Calling her short will lead her giving a fake smile and a warning.
  • Cool Shades: She wears them around her face. She sometimes wears them in order to look cool.
  • Easily Forgiven: Doesn't completely play straight. After her little stunt in the first Class Trial, only most of the students were willing to forgive her for nearly getting them killed. Sigmund, on the other hand, didn't forgive her yet and even suspect Nataliya of being the 'traitor'. He made it clear that Nataliya would have a lot of work to do to earn his trust again.
  • Height Angst: Suggested to be the case, as Blaise learns that mentioned her short height will irritate her.
  • The Hero: She becomes the main charater after Blaise's death.
  • Heroic BSoD: She trapped herself in her room after witnessing Blaise's execution. She only got out of it because of Levitica's Get a Hold of Yourself, Woman! speech.
  • Lawman Baton: Her weapon, as she carries it around since she's the Ultimate Warden.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: Two instances...
    • She claimed that it is her fault that a clue has been left behind that would point out Blaise as being the killer for the first Class Trial. And seeing Blaise die is the last thing she wanted.
    • She blames herself for blindly following orders and upholding her family's name. This is because she took a case her sister warned against taking, as it would lead her supporting the judgement and execution of Blaise's friend (who was falsely accused of terrorism, and there is mostly circumstantial evidences with questionable things happening in the background). This becomes worse, as this also led her to be assigned as the defendant's executioner.
  • "Not So Different" Remark: After Blaise's execution and Nataliya started sealing herself in her room, Levitica tried to knock some sense into her. During the process, she claimed that both Nataliya and Blaise aren't that different from each other.
  • Occidental Otaku: she uses Japaneses honorifics and references Japanese pop culture.
  • Take Me Instead: She exclaimed that Blaise should have killed her instead of Magnus because she was the one who executed Blaise's friend, who had been falsely found guilty for terrorism.
  • Well-Intentioned Extremist: She desperately tries to ensure that Blaise isn't found out as the blackened in the first Class Trial, going as far as pretending to be the killer. This would have led to both her death and the death of most of the class. However, Blaise himself doesn't want that and foiled her attempts.

  • Dead Person Conversation: It seems she is capable of communicating with the 'spirits'.

  • Psychic Child: Well, she 'is' the Ultimate Psychic.
  • Seers: She can have glimpses into the future with her 'divine eye'.

  • Cruel and Unusual Death: She is stabbed to death by several knights, all at once.
  • Dirty Coward: Played with. Levitica believes she is this, as she allowed her fear of death to prevent her from confessing to having murdered Phoenix, even though she killed him in order to protect Mona from being the 'blackened'. However, Nataliya claimed that Levitica is no coward, as the latter didn't redirect blame to Mona for being the killer and even admitting to killing Phoenix once her wound is exposed, despite the fact that the wound isn't solid evidence.
  • Expy: Fans have been comparing her to Justine Courtney from "Ace Attorney Investigations II" because of the former's designs and how Levitica was given Courtney's theme in the game.
  • Face Death with Dignity: Despite being given a staff to defend herself against the knights during her execution, she never fought back nor tried to run away. Instead, she discarded her staff and prayed up until the knights delivered the fatal blow.
  • Get a Hold of Yourself, Woman!: She performs this on Nataliya, who was undergoing a Heroic BSoD as a result of Blaise's murder and execution.
  • Hidden Depths: It turns out that Levitica is an amazing swimmer. In fact, she is the best swimmer in the group, even being able to outswim Hunt.
  • Magic Staff: According to Levitica, she supposedly owns a staff that allows her to heal people. During her execution, she was given a staff to supposedly help her fend of against the knights coming to kill her, but she chose to abandon it and instead pray until her eventual death.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: During the second Class Trial, as lampshaded by Sigmund, Levitica has not mentioned hearing any of the 'whispers' from her Gods, not even once. It turns out that Levitica had ceased hearing any 'whispers' very since she killed Phoenix.
  • Super-Hearing: Because she had to live in darkness as a child, she developed her hearing to guide her in place of her eyes.
  • Take Me Instead: The whole reason she killed an already dying Phoenix was because she wanted to protect Mona from becoming the 'blackened'. She went as far as vote for herself in the Class Trial in ensure she is voted in the majority as the blackened instead of Mona, saving Mona from execution by taking her place.
  • Well-Intentioned Extremist: Played with. She chose to kill the dying Phoenix in order to save Mona from becoming the 'blackened'. However, despite acknowledging this, she refused to accept her actions as being justified because, in the end, she killed an innocent man.
