Operation Orion

    Aircraft personnel

Reason for death

Weaking an enemy military operation

Details

Two aviators who were killed by Jake and David in a sniper mission to weaken military forces.
  • Flat Character: Little is known about either guy. All that's known about them is that they survived an emergancy landing and aren't very bright.
  • Hope Spot: They survived a rough landing. They didn't survive two gifted snipers.
  • Starter Villain: The first foes of the fourth game.
  • Too Dumb to Live: Their plane just crashed in unfamilar territory. The two dunces decide to stand around chatting instead of finding a safer location or possible help.

Operation Jonna

    Heinrich Schwarz

Reason for death

Being a high-ranking enemy soldier

Details

A high ranking officer killed while leading an important meeting
  • Asshole Victim: He's presumably a nazi officer, so it's hard to mourn his death too much.
  • Flat Character: His name is the most depth given to him, apart from the fact that he's a high ranking officer.
  • Killed Mid-Sentence: He's shot to death while running an important meeting.

Operation thunderstorm

    Artillery personnel

Reason for death

To stop them from using their high powered weapons.

Details

Four soldiers manning some powerful artillery. They were shot/crushed to death by Jake and David during an ambush.
  • Death from Above: The only way to kill them once they've barricaded themselves.
  • Genre Savvy: They're smart enough to hide behind a wall. Too bad direct shots aren't Jake's only tool in trade.
  • Hope Spot: The survivors hid behind a wall to shield themselves from sniper fire. Cue Death from Above moments later.
  • Oh, Crap!: They understandably freak out when witnessing two of their fellow soldiers get gunned down.

Operation Cleansweep

    Convoy

Reason for death

To stop the transport of weapons

Details

Killed during an ambush before they could supply weapons to camp Dienshof
  • Death by Irony: Their trucks make it easier to kill them, since it slows down the truck in the back once the first driver is killed.

    Camp Dienshof

Reason for death

To weaken their army.

Details

Several soldiers camped out in Dienshof who were killed after their couriers in order to make sure they could never access the weapons provided to them.
  • Oh, Crap!: They start scattering and running for safety once the bullets start flying, clearly unprepared for such an ambush. It prolongs their life by several seconds.

Operation getaway

    Bridge guard

Reason for death

To stop him from reporting anything about the bridge communications being sabotaged

Details

A bridge guard killed to give Jake's army extra time to plan other assaults.
  • Asshole Victim: He's killed due to being connected with the bridge's security, though it's hard to feel too bad for him due to his affiliation.
  • Flat Character: The bridge he's guarding is more important than he is.
  • Puzzle Boss: His communications have to be disabled before he can be killed, just to make sure news of his death isn't disclosed until it's too late. Killing him before fails the mission.
  • Stationary Boss: Due to being positioned in a toll booth, he doesn't have much mobility.

Operation red cloud

    Tank

Reason for death

To stop it from being used against Jake and his army

Details

A powerful tank that is preparing to lead the assault against the ally reclaimed camp Dienshof.
  • Asshole Victim: The two soldiers guarding it are collateral, though considering they're guarding a weapon that could be catastrophic is put into action, their deaths are necessary.
  • Stationary Boss: Since it's not being manned, it's vunerable to anti-tank missiles. The main complication to the mission is the two guards who aren't too keen about someone potentially destroying their strongest weapon.
  • Stuff Blowing Up: The tank has a truly epic explosion once Jake is through with it.

Operation Lullaby

    Markus Stein

Reason for death

Being a high-ranking military officer

Details

A respected and well guarded general killed due to accidentally presenting himself as an obtainable assassination target by giving a speech in a very open place.
  • Asshole Victim: He's a high ranking enemy officer, so this is to be expected. His soldiers seem more shocked than anything when he's killed, standing up and staring at his bloody corpse rather than fleeing or taking any form of retribution on the assassin who ended his life.
  • Boom, Headshot!: How he's offed in the middle of his speech.
  • Conspicuously Public Assassination: He's killed out in the open during an important speech. Not that anyone in attendance seems too shaken.
  • Hat of Authority: You know he's hot shit because his hat has a star on it, unlike any of the other soldiers.
  • Killed Mid-Sentence: He died in the middle of his speech, leaving the contents of the rest of it a mystery for the ages.
  • Too Dumb to Live: For someone so cautious, it seems unbelievable that no alarm bells went off about the stupidity of speaking in such an open area with minimal guards and apathetic listeners.
  • Unusually Uninteresting Sight: His underlings don't seem too worried when he's shot to death right in front of them. The most they do is stand up from their seats and stare at his corpse.

Operation M3

    Three top enemy officers

Reason for death

Their position in the military

Details

Three officers relaxing in a village and thinking that they're away from the dangers of war. They're not, as Jake demonstrates to them.
  • Didn't See That Coming: They weren't expecting Jake to assassinate them while they were vacationing in a nearby village. They didn't even have guards to make it harder for him to off them.
  • Too Dumb to Live: They all let their guard down because they're not in a battle zone. Never mind the fact that a bunch of other officers have been assassinated left and right.
  • Villains Out Shopping: They're relaxing in a nearby village when they're caught off guard and killed.
  • Wrong Genre Savvy: They should have realised that while the war is still raging, they're viable targets for their adverseries, no matter how far away from the battlefield they are.

Operation wingcut

    Pilot of "the notorious 52"

Reason for death

Causing many enemy losses due to his aviation skill

Details

A top pilot killed while relaxing at a hangar as retribution for the lives he ended in his aircraft missions.
  • Ace Pilot: An extremely skilled yet evil example. It's why his death is such a necessity.
  • Affably Evil: He's in a seemingly friendly conversation with another pilot when he's assassinated, showing that despite his ruthlessness, he's probably a pleasant enough person.
  • Death by Irony: An Ace Pilot is executed on the ground right next to his plane.
  • Hat of Authority: He wears a star-stamped beret like other important soldiers.
  • Killed Mid-Sentence: He's assassinated while deep in conversation with another pilot.
  • Names to Run Away from Really Fast: His plane has one, being referred to as "the notorious 52."
  • Noodle Incident: How his plane got that nickname isn't clear. Perhaps he shot down 52 planes or killed 52 people?

Operation cliffhanger

    Cliff guards

Reason for death

Guarding the important officer

Details

Some guards killed by Jake during his assassination of the officer due to them being in his way.
  • Hat of Authority: Even if it doesn't show due to their pitiful resistance, they're donning the same headgear as high raking officers encountered earlier.
  • Lazy Bum: One of the guys is just resting on a rock and couldn't care less about the others dying right beside him. Though it's possible he's too wounded to put up any fight or show realistic reactions to what's going on.
  • Rule of Three: They're three more nameless victims on Jake's ever-increasing list of bloodshed.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: One of them will try to haul ass once the shooting starts, likely knowing just how formidable Jake is in battle.
  • Too Dumb to Live: If the stationary soldier isn't incapacitated, then there's no excuse for just sitting there without a care in the world as the other soldiers meet their death by Jake and his firepower.
  • Undignified Death: One of them is killed while running away from the carnage like a little bitch. Another one dies while resting nonchalantly as his fellow soldiers are mowed down.

    Compound guards

Reason for death

Guarding the target

Details

Some guards in the compound standing between Jake and his objective
  • Hat of Authority: Like the previous guards and other officers, hinting at them being Elite Mooks. The only reason they're not referred to as such is because they're pretty shitty at their job and go down rather easily.
  • Rule of Three: There's three guards, like before.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Like one of the cliff guards before them, one of them tries to make a dash to safety when things get too intense for him.

    Fortress guards

Reason for death

Guarding the target

Details

Three more fortress guards Jake kills before reaching his ultimate target.
  • Defiant to the End: The two elevated guards open fire on Jake as soon as he makes himself known to them. They can potentially cause his demise if they're not dealt with swiftly.
  • Dirty Coward: The third soldier uses the chaos caused by the gunfight to try and slip away while Jake is preoccupied. This is foiled due to Jake finishing them off far quicker than the three of them expected.
  • Hat of Authority: Another undeserved example. One of the guards sports the ever imposing beret, despite being a meek coward in comparison to his honorable fellow soldiers.
  • Rule of Three: If you haven't guessed by now, all the general's guards come in groups of three.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Showing that anyone wearing the Hat of Authority is a cowardly pushover, the sole hat wearer tries to flee once his lower ranked comrades die during the firefight.

    General Zinsky

Reason for death

Being a high ranking general

Details

A powerful general guarded by nine soldiers. He's the tenth and final victim of the mission.
  • Arc Villain: He's the main foe of operation cliffhanger.
  • Authority Equals Asskicking: He's primarily targetted due to his rank.
  • Boom, Headshot!: How Jake executes him.
  • Face Death with Dignity: He accepts that he's about to die, raising his hands in the air and waiting for Jake to finish him off.
  • Hat of Authority: Showing that the star beret is perhaps liberally given to distinguished soldiers, he sports the same authoratative headgear as several of his guards despite actually being in a legitimate position of power.
  • Oh, Crap!: He knows he's as good as dead when Jake breaches his office.
  • Stationary Boss: He's cornered by Jake due to all his guards being wiped out, and is encountered and killed on his office desk. Knowing that Jake is here for business, he calmly accepts the inevitable, and allows Jake to deal the killing blow.

Operation hawkeye

    Sniper

Reason for death

Killing many soldiers unfortunate enough to enter his line of sight.

Details

A gifted sniper second only to Jake killed to avenge many fallen soldiers.
  • Climax Boss: Killing him requires using all of Jake's obtained knowledge to outsmart an opponent with similar training.
  • Cold Sniper: He's a ruthlessly efficent killing machine making quick work of Jake's military until Jake himself pays him a visit.
  • Evil Counterpart: He's a slightly inferior version of Jake working on opposite ends of the war, serving as an evil version of Jake, as he hasn't made a Face Heel turn by this point.
  • Hero Killer: He's been gunning down many of Jake's soldiers left and right, making his death a necessity.
  • Hoist by His Own Petard: He's killed due to Jake using his own gunshots to identify his location.
  • Sniper Duel: Jake and him engage in one, with Jake ultimately coming out victorious.
  • The Spook: He's been hard to track down due to being so elusive, with people only noticing him once it's too late.
  • Wake-Up Call Boss: He's much more unforgiving than previous foes, and is almost as skilled with a rifle as Jake, meaning he has to be killed very quickly.

Operation sandcloud

    Officer and his protection

Reason for death

Another high ranking officer.

Details

An officer flanked by his bodyguards participating in an important mission.
  • Flat Character: Neither his profile nor his circumstances gleam much insight into the type of guy he is.
  • Hat of Authority: A slightly darker green beret without a star is worn by him, showing he's the most important target yet.
  • Oh, Crap!: He takes off running once the first shot is fired, something the other officer does as well. If his guard didn't fail at occupying Jake for the needed amount of time, he may have gotten away.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Makes haste immediately when he realises the odds are not in his favor. Considering how Jake deals with officers, his desperation is understandable

Operation mgun

    Gunners

Reason for death

Using a powerful machine gun

Details

Several outpost soldiers killed to temporarily immobilise their machine gun
  • Karmic Death: The machinegun is so loud that it drowns out the gunfire behind the gunner, leaving him exposed to a different type of ammunition than what he's dishing out.
  • More Dakka: The machinegun was used in this way, to the deteriment of it's victims.

Operation outpost

    Soldier camp

Reason for death

Being another powerful enemy outpost

Details

A group of soldiers occupying another dangerous compound who are killed by Jake before they can cause any trouble.
  • Flat Character: Their mission is pretty much a carbon copy of other compound assassinations, except Jake's using a sniper rifle instead of an assault rifle.
  • Rule of Three: Only three of them are stationed at the base. Apparently, they're so dangerous that they're required targets despite being countable on one hand.

Operation T-bag

    Tank squad

Reason for death

Possessing a tank

Details

A tank squad killed off while doing repairs for their tank.
  • Didn't Think This Through: Their plan falls apart if Jake kills the tank operator before he can get inside the vehicle.
  • Epic Fail: Their assault is postponed because their tank is having engine problems. This proves to be the worst moment for such an event to be happening.
  • No Kill like Overkill: If allowed, one of them will hop into the tank and fire at Jake, a sniper in his vantage point. Suffice to say, this is mission failed, due to Jake being turned into an offscreen crater in the ground from this.
  • Too Dumb to Live: They're kind and stupid enough to leave the garage open and allow any nearby snipers to murder the hell out of them. Jake obliges. Though this could be so they could use the tank to attack any potential attackers.

Operation H-butch

    "War heroes"

Reason for death

Lowering troop morale

Details

Three "war heroes" being celebrated in the building Heinrich Schwarz was assassinated in. They're killed to strike a blow to the morale of the army.
  • History Repeats: They're not the first people to be assassinated in that building.
  • Surprisingly Sudden Death: All three of them are killed during a celebration commerorating their "heroic" actions and the fact they lived to tell their tales. Jake abruptly cuts these festivities short with a few bullets as his "party gift."
  • Villain with Good Publicity: They're celebrated by their country as war heroes, which is ironically used against them when they're assassinated, as their "heroic" deeds mean they're considered worth mourning.
  • Your Terrorists Are Our Freedom Fighters: They may be genuinely seen as war heroes by the enemy, though to Jake and his army, they're evil soldiers worthy of an execution.

Ending Major unmarked spoilers

    Spoiler character

Reason for death

Survives

Details

David. A.K.A blackheart. The Big Bad of the original series and the catalyst of the most confusing plot twist ever seen in a web game.
  • Big Bad: He's general blackheart, apparently.
  • The Ending Changes Everything: David being the Big Bad of the original series turns everything on it's head in the most convoluted and confusing way imaginable.
  • Evil Former Friend: He was a loyal companion of Jake until he murdered his parents or murdered him in front of his son, depending on which Jake you think was the protagonist of the game.
  • Jumping Off the Slippery Slope: He apparently became evil incarnate after being goaded into executing some prisoners, despite this colliding with canon.
  • Karma Houdini Warranty: If these events are canon, David waited almost 70 years to get his comeuppance.
  • Mind Screw: The Ending Changes Everything and creates a time paradox in the clear vision universe that would take the greatest geniuses in the world to properly decipher.
  • Plot Hole: Jake was clearly a child when his parents were murdered, yet David (who is revealed to be blackheart) is in the army with him and presumably not much older than he is. Either this is a major retcon, or time is ignored at will in the clear vision universe. Though it's possible Jake and his father share the same name, and the person followed throughout the fourth game was actually Jake's father, meaning he didn't die instantly after being shot in the head by David, instead perishing in hospital due to his bullet wounds.
    • While this would fit the timeframe of Jake's father shooting nazis, it also makes no sense that the military somehow became al-maya, as shown by the infamous execution scene, which David is the real mastermind of. Never mind that al-maya was implied to be founded in the mid 2000s and the events of the fourth game are implied to have happened in the early 1940s. David is either almost a century old, or the entire fucking plot makes no sense in the slightest.
  • Retcon: The only explanation that would make this twist make any sense is if this canon overrode what had already been established.
  • Start of Darkness: Shooting the hostages, who are implied to be al-maya's defector captives. Even though this would have happened decades after he murdered Jake's parents.
  • Walking Spoiler: He's the evil general Jake hates so much (and potentially the killer of the fourth game's protagonist.)
  • Writers Cannot Do Math: As shown in Plot Hole, time is thrown out the window, with events either happening too far apart or overlapping in a way that makes no sense in the slightest. Though, Jake could just be the biggest Unreliable Narrator in the universe.
