Live-Action Skit Era Hosts
Before the Cartoon Cartoons themselves started hosting, the shows were presented and promoted by a series of brief, recurring live-action skits. Recurring characters of this period include an astronomer pointing out cartoon themed constellations, a fast talking auctioneer, a female home shopping network host, a weatherman, a marching band, and Rick Rickerd, the host of a lottery segment and one of the very few characters of this era to have a name. As these sketches were usually incredibly brief and the characters themselves had little substance as they tended to play their roles completely straight they will all be listed in this folder.
- The Cameo: They appear briefly in the first Friday of the cartoon host era when Eustace attempts to adjust the monitors on the set and ends up cycling through several of the original Friday characters before finally turning them off in annoyance.
- Motor Mouth: The Auctioneer.
- Guest Star: During Cartoon Cartoon Weekends, the Cartoons themselves would assist or replace the live action hosts in doing their skits.

Edd (Double D)
From: Ed, Edd n Eddy
Voiced By: Samuel Vincent
- Beware the Nice Ones: Edd usually tries to keep his composure when hosting. However, on the night where he was hosting the premiere of Sheep in the Big City, Johnny Bravo and, eventually, Chicken push their luck a bit too much. Right before the premiere, after enduring literally a whole night of annoyance and harassment from the duo, Double D finally loses his temper and ends up screaming at the two and siccing I.R. Baboon on them for the rest of the night.
- Lovable Nerd
- Nice Guy
- The Smart Guy
- Wise Beyond Their Years
Bubbles
From: The Powerpuff Girls
Voiced By: Tara Strong
Sheep
From: Sheep in the Big City
Voiced By: Kevin Seal
- Overly Long Gag: His stint as a host is pretty much just 4 hours of the camera panning to him between cartoons, sheep bleating once, and the bumper ending. No other talking or character interactions. The only variance was before the new cartoon and before his own show where he would bleat more excitedly.
- Talking Animal: AVERTED! Sheep might be anthropomorphized to an extent, but his vocabulary is still limited to bleats.
- The Unintelligible: This is probably why he only hosted once. It didn't help that the announcer wasn't around either.
Mayor of Townsville
From: The Powerpuff Girls

From: Dexter's Laboratory
Voiced By: Christine Cavanaugh/Candi Milo
