In General

  • Overall, it's a mixture of luck and ingenuity that gets the teens to the docks. Even though they fail in the end and missed the last ferry, the teens have survived enough harrows to match the terrors faced in the original Jurassic World film. In fact, they all may be even more badass than the likes of Owen Grady on the basis that they are all just unskilled young kids, and survived events just as bad - all without the help of any adult. The only other Jurassic Park character that exceeds their badassery is fellow kid, Eric Kirby, who survived on Site B for 2 months by virtue of the fact that he was alone.
    • By the start of Season 3, the kids have survived on the abandoned and dangerous dinosaur-infested park for at least six months, which nothing short of amazing considering the fact that they're likely all within the age range of 12-16 years old.
  • While not amazing at first glance, the fact that Kenji still seems to remember his way around Jurassic World surprisingly well, which is one of the reasons the kids survived this long. Even though Darius makes the decisions, Kenji seems to always know the way to that decision. Even more incredible is Kenji's knowledge of the maintenance tunnels. It's clearly not easy remembering it considering the fact that every which way looks the same and other factors such as the lockdown, but despite a few hiccups, he really does seem to know the general way.
  • The sheer attention to detail in the animation with the kids getting realistically more and more dirty during life on the island. Season 2 ups the ante by having Brooklynn's hair gradually grow out and show her brown roots. Season 3 has everyone's hair get longer too and Kenji has even grown facial hair.

Show

Season 1
  • Darius finally completes the game that wins him a trip to Jurassic World when he uses a ''Velociraptor'' vocal chord whistle to manipulate a raptor to stall the T. rex.
  • In a nightmarish way, it's pretty awesome to see a cameo of Blue in all of her intimidating glory when Kenji and Darius are stuck in the velociraptor pen.
    • When Roxie distracts the squad by flinging a hunk of meat into their enclosure, the raptors instantly forget all about the two boys and go for the catch...save Blue, who, being the smartest and wisest of the four, takes a moment to frown at her more naive sisters, then shoots the lads a Death Glare before scampering off.
  • Seeing the group work together to save Darius and Brooklynn from the sinking Gyrosphere.
  • By the end of episode 4, Darius giving the team a rousing speech that yes, life may have dealt them a bad hand right now, but they can't give up! This inspires them to essentially follow him as they make their way to find help.
  • Early in Episode 6, as the campers are arguing over a recent turn of events, the Indominus suddenly bursts from the jungle barely a hundred feet away. Everyone panics and gets out of the way…and the Indominus runs past them. Seconds later, Masrani flies by in his helicopter with the minigun firing at the Indominus. Though it ends as badly for him as in the film, it's still awesome.
  • Ben finally develops a backbone and risks going on the roof of the monorail to save everyone from crashing. Kudos to the rest of the team as well when, instead of stopping him out of fear he's too weak, they assist him by distracting the pteranodons.
  • When a silhouette of what appears to be a Velociraptor appears in the tunnels, Kenji picks up the fallen cattle prod and stands his ground in front of everyone, clearly intending to fight whatever appears around the corner.
  • Although Toro survives the explosion, she's so injured that when Darius so much as gives her a Death Glare, she concedes defeat and leaves the team in peace. Not many people can stake claim that a dinosaur was afraid of them.
    • The entire group of teens seemed ready to fight despite their size differences and disadvantage. All of them have their fists balled up and are standing their ground, seemingly having enough of running away. Kenji even picked up one of the oxygen tanks to use as a weapon.
  • One of the last shots of the season finale is of Roxie angrily yelling at the guard to turn the ferry around right now. If she and Dave are going to be forced to leave behind their six charges, she's not going to do so without giving the guard an ear-full.

Season 2

  • In Episode 1 we get to see the utter carnage that a fighting Tyrannosaurus rex, Velociraptor, and Indominus rex can cause. As bad as it is for the heroes, the carnage is glorious.
  • It's absolutely amazing how resourceful the campers are that they are able to create their new camp base. Not only is the whole structure elevated to keep them safe from dinosaurs, it even has a working 'shower' system so the kids can clean themselves off. The fact that this base is made completely from debris and sub-part material, the base holds.
  • As Kenji so puts it, Darius has outdone Dr. Grant himself in understanding dinosaurs, discovering behaviors nobody else has ever seen.
  • The end of episode 4 has Ben returned, dressed like Rambo, with Bumpy... who is now fully grown and massive.
  • Episode 5 "Brave" reveals that Ben if he must, will crack. Add a cracked Ben to a massive Bumpy... and you have one dangerous killing machine. As Toro soon finds out.
  • While it doesn't end well with him, Hap's final stand against the Baryonyx trio. He knows he's likely not going to survive and that it's going to be painful, but that all doesn't matter if he can give the kids a chance to survive. He faces them all with nothing but a cattle prod, his last words to Brooklynn and Kenji is to live a nice long life.
  • Yasmina not only escaping from Mitch and Tiff, but her ankle finally recuperating enough so she can run at full speed. For a few episodes now, her injured ankle has served to hinder most of her athletic capabilities. At last, we get to see her use those capabilities to their full extent once more.
  • Remember when Kenji whistled loudly in order to get the stegosaurus's attention? Darius uses this trick later on to spook the stegosaurus, so the poachers would be unable to shoot it.
  • Darius and his group collectively saving the dinosaurs at the watering hole from Tiff and Mitch. The two poachers are foiled as they helplessly watch their game flee from the chaos and noise.
  • What happens when you put a big game hunter in a snare trap with a Tyrannosaurus Rex around? You get lunchtime for said Tyrannosaurus rex, especially one that holds a grudge against said hunter.
    • In episode 7, one of the Baryonyx - Grim - is shot and killed and the other two, Limbo and Chaos, seek revenge; in episode eight, the two watch Mitch get devoured by Rexy and one vocalizes to the other, apparently telling the other to "come", and they leave Mitch to his fate of being eaten - even if it wasn't by them, their sibling's killer is dead and partial revenge has, at last, been obtained.
  • Darius deciding they can't wait around for somebody to save them. Instead, they will find a way to get off the island themselves. This marks the moment the kids stop being kids helplessly depending on adults, and start truly being independent.

Season 3

  • Darius and Brooklyn scaring off the dinosaurs with roman candles! The lighting makes it feel so epic and exhilarating! Neither Brooklynn nor Darius got to beat Kenji at the prank war, but at least they beat a couple of dinosaurs at it, and that's the next best thing.
  • Living up to her species' infamous intelligence, Blue tricks Darius, Yaz, and Kenji into coming out of their hiding spaces by pretending to leave the room. …Only to reveal she doubled back. Clever girl indeed…
  • The Scorpios rex's entrance is nightmarishly epic, especially when it approaches the Camp Family in the cover of darkness during a lightning storm. What makes it even more chilling is how it's introduced to the iconic Jurassic Park ominous choir theme, as though letting the audience know "Presenting: Scorpios rex
  • Yasmina, through sheer force of will alone, running to get the antidote for Sammy. She jumps across a river at least 5 meters across and when cornered by the Scorpios rex, she actually stands her ground and is ready to fight to the death, she's willing to do anything to save Sammy.
  • The Ankylosaurus herd that Bumpy bonds with managing to actually fight off the Scorpios rex. After tearing through the dino population no problem it's pretty cool to see a group just No-Sell it so completely,
    • especially because it gives the ankylosaurs a victory over one of Wu’s hybrids after their herd member's deaths at the claws of the Indominus rex.
  • Blue deciding to help the gang by going after both of the Scorpios rexes (which are violently feuding), causing a Mêlée à Trois. Points also go to Darius, whose quick thinking leads to the visitor's Center roof caving in and crushing both Scorpius.
  • The reveal by the mercenary that it's been at least six months since the collapse of Jurassic World. While the news was horrifying to the kids, it is actually impressive that they survived half a year on a dinosaur-infested island and lived to tell the tale. To put that in perspective, they survived alone on a dinosaur-infested island for three times as long as Eric Kirby did.
  • Ben convinces the mercenary pilot to turn off the helicopter lights with only words that he's had experience with the Pteranodons and a Death Glare. Not six months ago, this was a timid little wet blanket who was afraid of his own shadow. Now look at him! Also doesn't hurt that his Death Glare is coupled by flashes of lightning.
  • In the climax, Kenji approaches the mercenary and Dr. Wu to trade for Brooklynn's safety for the laptop with all the data. When Hansen skimps out on the deal, Kenji actually tries attacking a fully grown adult armed with a loaded gun in order to rescue Brooklynn.
  • Once again, Ben and Bumpy ride into battle and cause massive mayhem, which leads to the laptop being crushed and saving his friends once again.
    • What's more, Ben gets to give Dr. Wu a first-hand, In-Universe Take That! as he points out that despite Bumpy's "asymmetry", she's made something of herself.
  • Brooklynn shows that she has nerves of steel in trying to prevent Wu from creating more Indominus/Scorpios monstrosities. Whether it was telling Darius and Yaz to take the laptop from them or trying to lure dinosaurs to take down Wu and a few of his mercenaries.
    Brooklynn: Whatever it takes
    • She also calls Wu on his claim of being a visionary who advances the cause of science, pointing out that a real visionary would make people's lives better, not worse.
  • How many people can stake the claim that they threw a rock at Rexy? And lived!

Season 4

  • As revealed by the Netflix promotional imagery and description, the camp survivors are going to meet Isla Sorna's apex predator. After 20 years, the Spinosaurus is back.
  • Another promotional imagery reveals the return of a species that has not been viewed on-screen for 28 years: the Dilophosaurus has made a comeback.
  • The inclusion of the Smilodon proves that the franchise is not going to limit itself to Mesozoic species.
  • Kenji briefly wrestles the Smilodon to give Ben time to escape.
  • While it doesn't last and she's eventually ushered away from her daughter, Big Eatie gets angry at the drones and turns the BRAD into scrap metal.
  • The way the Spinosaurus temporarily disables the BRAD-X, catching it in his jaw and throwing it on the ground before stomping on it.
  • When Sammy manages to fend off a pair of raptors using a BRAD's electrical blasts.
  • Ben’s no-nonsense way of dispatching the BRADs with a golf club.

Season 5

  • Even though he ends up being the greater of the two evils, Mr. Kon single-handedly disabling Kash's control over the BRADs with just a key phrase is rather impressive, especially considering Kash was betraying him at the time. If anything, it's just plain satisfying to see someone wipe that smug smile off his face for once.
  • The raptors take their revenge on Kash by ripping him to shreds.
  • Blue is able to give Daniel Kon and Lewis Dodgson the slip by luring them to the Dilophosaurus territory.
  • The slimy Lana Molina has been tormenting Compsognathus ever since her arrival on Isla Nublar, which makes it satisfying to see them take their revenge by slowly paralyzing her with their venomous bites before swarming all over her body.
  • After appearing mostly as relatively docile herbivores and a Monster Munch for predatory dinosaurs throughout the franchise, it is awesome to see a herd of Parasaurolophus working together to fight off Chaos the Baryonyx to protect the elderly individual that they have been hiding.
  • As opposed to the Camp Fam getting to the heart of telling Kenji his father is evil (which only drove him away}, Mae's low-key approach reaches professional therapist levels of undoing the manipulation Kenji's toxic father placed. She assures him there's no wrong in missing his friends, prompts him to question why his father is surrounded by shady people (with mixed results) and points out he shouldn't have to earn money to please his father. Through these efforts, Mae is able to steadily undo Mr. Kon's influence on Kenji to the point where he starts to question his father (and redon his own clothes) even before he learned his father had Bumpy mind-controlled.
  • Bumpy overcomes her mind control after seeing Ben get hurt.
    • Fridge-Awesome: It wasn't just The Power of Friendship at work. It's hypothetically possible that the very defect that made Bumpy asymmetrical also gave her the mental boost to resist hurting Ben.
    • Although it was Honor Before Reason, Ben choosing not to use the controller on Bumpy on sheer principle that he's never relied on anything but trust and friendship to get her to listen. No doubt Bumpy appreciated this. And it doesn't hurt that Kenji (who's been developing the habit of controlling dinosaurs) acts as a Foil to the adamant Ben.
  • The campers use all the resources they have to free the mind-controlled dinosaurs.
  • Yaz and Sammy declare their romantic feelings for one another before sharing a long-awaited Big Damn Kiss. All the other campers cheer upon witnessing their embrace.
  • Sammy kicks Daniel Kon in the groin after he revealed that he was the one who hired Kash to blackmail her family.
  • Mantah Corp's wild dinosaurs teaming up with each other and the campers to fight off Daniel Kon's mind-controlled dinosaurs, and after 21 years, we finally have a rematch between a Tyrannosaurus and a Spinosaurus!
    • The Spinosaurus and Big Eatie rumble for a little while, battling it out across the forest. Eventually, they separate until the sailback is back under control and surprise attacks Big Eatie, putting her down for the count, but not lethally.
    • Later on they rematch when Big Eatie comes charging back into the fray, having recovered from earlier, and this time getting the surprise attack when she accidentally steps on the Spinosaurus controller. Thanks to her daughter backing her up, the Spinosaurus backs down instead of fighting two adult Tyrannosauruses.
  • Pierce smacking the Spinosaurus with his spiky tail hard enough to knock it into a river.
  • The collective Camp Fam tricking Mr. Kon into thinking he had the password and that the island was going to blow up. We're talking a monster who (according to Brooklyn) is "just as smart as he is evil". And these kids managed to trick him into thinking he had everything in the palm of his hands.
    • Fridge Brilliance: Remember when the Darius was seemingly declaring in the loft that they should throw in the towel and go to the boats? That must've been the moment he told them no, they weren't giving up. No doubt they fabricated this plan up in that loft. From the instant they left "for the boats", Mr. Kon was played like a harp.
    • Also, Mr. Kon being arrested means that Sammy's family ranch is freed from his clutches. After seasons of worrying they've lost the ranch they've had for generations, she's earned the right to rest easy from here on.
    • In between, Kenji not only calling his father out on his callous mindset, but all the while declaring the Camp Family are his real family. If anything, this act of redemption is a lovely reprise to when he earlier told them to their faces he wasn't his family. Here, he's letting it be known that these five other kids have been more a family to him in the past six months alone than his manipulative father ever was his entire life.
  • To a villainous degree, Daniel Kon being the only villain throughout the series (if not the franchise) to meet consequences that don't involve death by dinosaur. Not many antagonists in the series can stake the claim they weren't killed by a dinosaur in one form or another. If anything, his punishment is practically worse: he has to live with not only going to jail, but also the humiliation that he was outsmarted by his "lazy" son and "meddling" friends.
  • The Camp Family finally coming home. Not just coming home, but with honors and with glory, as an entire multitude of people (not counting their families) turn out to welcome home the aptly named "Nublar Six"!
  • The ending. Darius hears a rumbling footstep and runs to the window and is shocked to see a Brachiosaurus outside, indicating that it's at the end of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom with dinosaurs starting to spread through the world.
