If you're familiar with Fairy Tail' fanfics, you may hav noticed a common plot is to have Lucy get kicked off Team Natsu/out of the guild as a result of Lisanna's return (to put a long story short, Lisanna, the youngest Strauss sibling and Natsu's Childhood Friend and potential love interest, didn't die two years ago, but came back after the Edolas arc).
This fic isn't one of those fics, although it does have one thing in common with (some of) them; demonizing Lisanna due to her being a perceived romantic rival with Lucy. This is contradicted by this page
◊, which at the very least, indicates that Lucy and Lisanna get along well, and that Lisanna might very well be a Shipper on Deck for Natsu and Lucy (oddly enough, she doesn't say this for Wendy, another new friend of Natsu's, who sees him as an older brother).
Now on to the fanfic. It's unclear when this one takes place, since most fics of the sort I mentioned earlier take place after Edolas and diverge from canon almost immediately, but apparently, Natsu and Lucy have been dating, and Lisanna is not pleased. Lisanna hates Lucy for being popular (again, at least Lucy isn't being ostracized and kicked out by most of the guildnote ) and Natsu's girlfriend, and Natsu for loving Lucy instead of her. She's also angry that everyone, including her older sister Mirajane, thinks they're the better couple, so she wants Lucy to die.
The first scene break happens here. It's a somewhat unsightly line of alternating upper and lowercase Os, but this is one of two that makes sense here.
Lisanna then comes up with a "brilliant plan" to kill Lucy, essentially poisoning her drink. Unfortunately for her, she doesn't notice that Natsu saw her, but she's lucky enough that he doesn't do anything except wonder what she's doing. She gives Lucy the drink, and Lucy drinks it, only to collapse moments later, much to the shock of the guild. The Perfect Poison apparently worked too well and not well enough, since Lucy isn't dead yet, and Lisanna noticed.
Another scene break happens here, even though it's the same scene and no more than a few seconds pass between the second paragraph and the third.
So Lisanna tries to force the rest of the drink down Lucy's throat, but Natsu, now more attentive and decisive, grabs the drink and slaps Lisanna. He demands to know what she's doing to a "nakama", but Lisanna says that Lisanna is not her friend, and "needs to die."
Another scene break happens.
Lisanna tries to stab Lucy on the neck with a dagger, but Erza takes the dagger away, and Gajeel smells the drink, which he realizes is laced with deadly poison.
Yet another scene break happens.
Lisanna, upset at Natsu crying over Lucy, takes the drink from the much stronger Gajeel (I'm surprised it wasn't spilled), drinks all of it and dies. She falls on the ground, somehow disappears and is forgotten almost instantly, since the others are worried about Lucy's condition.
A word about Lisanna's Disney Death. It was somewhat improbable that Mirajane wouldn't suspect something was up when Lisanna, who apparently died in her arms, as you can see here
◊ (although the fact that Lisanna says that she "lost consciousness" possibly led Mirajane to think her dead, and her disappearance prevented her from checking her vital signs). Here, it's completely contrived that the poison would cause her to disappear, much less be forgotten about.
In any case, Lucy has a white face and is close to death without medical attention. This is normally where Porlyusica would come in, but Natsu asks Lucy not to die because he loves her, and if he dies, he'll love her even when he dies, which doesn't seem like all that much of a motivation speech.
One last unnecessary scene break happens.
Lucy wakes up, and Natsu hugs her, as she complains that she can't breathe. Erza, with a smile over Lucy pulling through, threatens to kill Natsu if Lucy faints again.
There's a final scene break, but it makes a bit more sense.
Three hours later, everyone celebrates Lucy's survival. Lucy's sad about Lisanna's death, but doesn't bring it up because the poison erased people's memories of her. Lucy somehow still has her memories of Lisanna, and thinks of her as a "nakama" in spite of Lisanna's attempt on her life. The fic ends with probably the most in-character behavior involved- Natsu and Gray bickering about Natsu trying to make Lucy a card out of fire (I wonder if Natsu's jealous of everything Gray can make with Ice-Make magic), and the narrator suggests that they never get tired of arguing.
The fic ends here. It's worth noting that the reason Die for Our Ship exists, and a large reason behind the Ron the Death Eater trope is for the purpose of disposing of possible competition for a pairing. Both tend to be means to an end, but here, killing off Lisanna is practically the entire story, resulting in the fic coming off as mean-spirited (not helped by the author openly admitting to hating Lisanna).
The author admits that this is his/her first fic, and asks for advice; to be honest, most people's first efforts are significantly better than this. The author also admits to disliking Lisanna, and being happy if she dies.
