Seconding this. The O Cs don't feel anything like O Cs; they feel like they've always been there and that they belong. Having not read the manga, I even uncertain as to whether they were simply characters the anime had dropped, curtsey of the reduced focus on the DMC. On that note, I should also mention: this fic follows the manga plotline. Not big differences from the anime, only that Nekozawa turns up more often. That beach house where Tamaki discovers Haruhi's fear of lightning? That's actually Nekozawa's in the manga, which is important for reasons that turn up later.
That's what this story is. Freaking...freaking cute. Haruhi falls in love by degrees, oblivious until it's so obvious even she can't miss it (not that things become clear even after she does), and the journey is just...cute. The protagonists are well-written, rounded—and the author is really good at writing original characters, as seen in the case of the Black Magic Club members, whose shenanigans, although a relatively small part of the plot, are entertaining on their own.
