Alternate Universe done right. Though the setting has changed, the characters remain themselves. Plants are still Plants, The Gung-Ho Guns are still at work, and insurance agents are still insurance agents. The story starts with a fair bit of humor but things get as dark as the Trigun Maximum manga (the way bulb-bound Plants are handled in the Grey City is particularly distrubing). There hasn't been a new chapter since 2008, so it may classify as a Dead Fic.
