The best thing about this amazing series is this: It could be terrifying if it wasn't all PlayedForLaughs. Now that makes a comedy. Everything from Hilda's nonchalant attitude to Oga's clearly fake narration to Beel being epic to Oga's best buddy just having to roll with things as they come all comes together to make a cocktail of comedy that makes you completely ignore any and all Fridge Horror involved. That is what made it one of my fav series ever.
Then they made an anime. And There Was Much Rejoicing.
