Haven\'t played this game, but never really like it in reviews when someone lists the community as an actual fault or criticism of the game. The community is more it\'s own separate issue.

Generally the fan base is a separate concern, but in the case of a roleplay game like this, the community is the product, since you can only play when involving them. Playing experience comes down to who else you\'re playing with.
I think they meant that the gameplay is decent, but impossible to enjoy because of the rest.
To Kibchi: is it possible to only play with those you trust?
Stories don't tell us monsters exist; we knew that already. They show us that monsters can be trademarked and milked for years.
To Reymma: I\'m making my own \"friends only\" server. It\'ll be whitelisted and modded so that it\'ll have stuff like a control scheme that can be referenced at any time in-game, and more animation to it.
the initial SS 13 experience REALLY depends on the server and the time of day/night, due to the players and parts of the community being active at different times.

One of the worst roleplay experiences I've ever had the misfortune of having.
I mean, seriously. They'll ban you for not following their rails, while letting other people get away with powergaming. I could go on about the bullshit I've seen during my time playing it, but I'd hit the character limit.
Gameplay: 7/10 - It would be decent if the community wasn't so shit.
Audio: 4/10 - Most of the time it's just complete silence. Boooooring.
Controls: 2/10 - They're not intuitive at all, and change from server to server. Total ass.
Graphics: 3/10 - It's pixel art, which is fine- but there's very little animation to it- and sometimes things can blend together. Yuck.
Community: 0/10 - I have played with terrible DnD DMs who stick fetish content into everything, and not even THEY have disgusted me as much as these railroading scumbags. Absolutely the worst. If I found out my DM ran a conventional SS13 server, I would kick them out of the game immediately.
