...I remember the pretty-good 2011 cartoon they strangled in the crib. Can\'t recall if it was collateral damage of the same network mismanagement that created CN Real or just general mismanagement though.

I don’t get what the deal is with Cheetara. She looks pretty much the same except for having shorter hair. Judging it without knowledge of her other designs, I\'d say she looks cute. Not ugly, but cute. Harmless. That\'s how I\'d describe most of the designs. And probably the show. It\'s okay. It\'s fine. Does it do justice to the previous incarnations? No. But it... it\'s fine. If we just leave it alone, it\'ll hopefully get cancelled within a couple of seasons.

Thundercats Roar... my god, why?
To be perfectly honest, I wasn't a big fan of the old Thundercats. I thought it was pretty good, but not much else. Now I'm just wishing they brought back the original.
My biggest problem with Roar is Lion-O. I hate Roar!Lion-O with every fibre of my being. He's annoying, ruins everything, and overall is just a self-absorbed, moronic asshole. And, I get it. A character having negative traits doesn't automatically make them bad, but Lion-O's really pushing with that statement. Sad thing is that he's the only character I remember, because everyone else is just really forgettable.
Let's look at Driller, the first episode I've seen. Lion-O crushes Panthro's self confidence, sends the team's base into ruins, and acts like nothing's wrong. The only reason he even got involved in the main plot is because his stuff could get destroyed by the titular Driller.
The animation is... meh. The characters don't really look remotely cat-like apart from the designs. Even looking at them as characters who aren't cat-like, the character designs range from forgettable (Snarf) to ugly (Panthro, Cheetara), and the backgrounds range from actually kinda good to forgettable to basically nonexistent.
I get some people would like the more comedic tone, but it's hardly comedic at all. Most of the jokes don't land anyway. The characters are introduced with trading cards and their home planet is destroyed in a joke. No thanks.
Point is, Thundercats Roar is not a great show. I don't really see it getting much better in the future, and the Teen Titans Go/Thundercats Roar crossover causes me physical pain. The ending was literally the original Lion-O saying that Roar was a worthy successor. Glad you gave yourself a pat on the back there, Warner Brothers. Don't watch.
