I am a big fan of the work of SakuraBlossomStorm. Like her, Bridgette is my favourite Total Drama character and I'm a big fan of her relationship with Geoff. With that said, Predator and Prey is easily the greatest Bridgette fic from the author.
I just love its sinister interpretation of what happened between Bridgette and Alejandro during World Tour. As someone who absolutely adores Bridgette, what we saw in canon between her and Alejandro hurts me a lot, and this fic in some ways alleviates it. While some might hate the way Alejandro is depicted, I didn't mind, and what was more important to me was how the fic really digs into what was going in Bridgette's brain as she fell for Alejandro (something the author also explores in a different fic titled Stockholm Syndrome) and then felt immense guilt and shame for her actions, as well as the full extent of how Geoff felt about everything. It really made a lot of what Bridgette and Geoff experienced in the Yukon episode and the first Aftermath make perfect sense, even despite the dark explanation for what happened between Bridgette and Alejandro.
But despite all of that, the author does a really good job with the Geoff/Bridgette relationship, as her writing really demonstrates how powerful and enduring their love for each other is as they face some of the greatest challenges yet to their relationship. The author really hits the nail on the head with why I love the couple so much, as well as why I am such a fan of Bridgette in general.
If you're a fan of Bridgette or her romance with Geoff like I am, this fic is a MUST for its great emotional/psychological exploration of Bridgette, fascinating expansion upon the canon season, and fantastic depiction of Bridgette and Geoff's love for each other.
