The general opinion is the second arc competition is the worst part of the series. The first arc is much better, and there's remarkable twist no one saw coming near the end.
Pros :
Top notch costumes, actions, and cool looking Transformation Trinket. So many drivers in the series.
(Most) charaters are all likeable from the start. The only exception is Thouser, but even then it is cathartic to see Thouser get deserved beatdown from any characters.
Izu/Is growth by learning from Aruto is too adorable.
Isamu is fast become the meme character for the series. It hits to the point where in some episode, some people said he is a better main character than Aruto.
The plot twist no one saw coming near the end. The one where Aruto became ark one.
Metsuboujinrai and ark are a great villains.
Cons :
The pace is all over the place. There was an episode with so many things happened and crammed in, yet there could be two episodes where nothing happened except filler. This is made worst due to covid, the number of episodes is cut off and replaced by recap.
Due to the reason above, some of the important plot feel forced. Jin's revival is handwaved by introducing new character so late in the series. Gai's Heel–Face Turn is crammed into one episode.
The 5 stages competition arc is totally BS. Basically Gai doing everything he wanted and get out with no consequences, too many times.
Gai is a badly written villain due to reason above.
