Please no Sequel

After seeing The LEGO Movie, the first thing I said was no sequel. This movie is so good that a sequel might ruin it. The shift between the Lego world and reality is seamless, the actual animation is colorful and amazing, and just everything about this movie is...well...awesome. This movie is definitely going to be a classic once it reaches it's ten-year mark or even before. I'm going to show this to my future kids. This movie is going to be a major part of their generation like Harry Potter is part of my generation.

Sorry, what with the furious pace at which Hollywood's running out of new ideas (at least ones they're willing to take a risk on), any big success will almost inevitably receive a follow-up whether the story demands it or not. Hell, Toy Story 4 is about as redundant a project as creating a Godfather 4.

And not buying a ticket or whatever in some vain hope of lessening the box office deprives good filmmakers from their just reward. It's a, how you say, a Catch-420? Or something? I'm amazed there's even room for genuinely good movies like The LEGO Movie amidst all the soulless fluff Hollywood's seemingly Eternal Engine spews out just to fill a niche in the marketplace. were he alive today, Machiavelli would definitely have some choice words on the situation.

I\'m sorry to disappoint you, but there\'s no way a sequel won\'t happen. LEGO is a giant toy magnet.
