A White Tiger is a rare thing

White Tiger tells the story of an amnesiac tank driver, Ivan, whose first tank was destroyed by the White Tiger. Without memory he makes his only goal to destroy this White Tiger. As the film progresses, with the Commissar interrogating various German soldiers. It is found that even they see the white tiger, and that it inspires not hope or pride, but fear. The movie shows that anyone can see the white tiger, and as the movie shows the end of the war, we learn more of Ivan's abilities, and that he sees god as a tank driver, dressed in coveralls. In the end the Tiger is never confirmed destroyed, and many are touched by its affect: PTSD. The film gives a very even look at all sides, and at one point the Commissar interviews an SS soldier, and has a small segment at the end of the film from the German prospective on their surrender.

This is a gem that should be cherished by all, for its amazing story telling, its realistic look on tank warfare, and its political neutrality and bluntness of its statement about PTSD and the realities of war.

You see, anyone can see the White Tiger, and those who do are permanently scarred by it, and its in every war.
