Should gorr be removed from sympathetic considering the deacription doesn’t bring up how he kidnaps, traumatises children and his actions could. Have killed them in his wish ad well plus the nice gods Thor mentioned and how it’s implied the world that Thor and the guardians saves are defenceless because gorr slaughtered their gods. Want to give a chance for questioning before I remove it because it’s really head tilting

Unintentionally sympathetic doesn’t really apply to rapu as he kidnaps and threatens children and traumatises them with his antics

I don’t know how he’s either. He’s clearly a Hate Sink and provides no nuance

I meant gorr and should we remove him?

Rapu should've been the Unintentionally Unsympathetic instead of Thor Odinson himself because of:

A. His neglect and arrogance leads to all of Gorr's people starving to death instead of helping them out, At least Thor was friendly to children despite him being a bit of a buffoon.

B. After Gorr turns against him for his actions, the selfish god nearly kills him before getting slain by the Necro-Sword.

C. He mocks Gorr by treating him like a dog such as throwing fruits at him.

D. He feels no empathy for Gorr and his followers and sees them as desperate troglodyres(kinda reminds me how some Marvel fans and hardcore comic books fans treat Taika Waititi after this movie despite being a human being himself).

Despite having little screen-time in the opening, Rapu should've earned himself as the most hated aspect of this movie.

I disagree with Ass Pull and the bit about Thor lending his powers. There was a movie that showed Thor with an eye patch and I was after Odin had passed away. I was under the impression that there has been a Passing the Torch moment and that Thor had inherited at least some of Odin's powers, such as being able to decide who gets to wield the power of Thor.

Seriously again:

Should we cut unintentionally sympathetic since he was threatening kids and tried to kill the heroes as well as saying Thor comment on one of his victims being one of the nicest gods

Should've have a Harsher In Hindsight trope: The moment Thor & his friends went to Omnipotence City to meet his idol Zeus(potrayed by Russell Crowe) to warn about Gorr(Christian Bale) and Thor sees his childhood hero "Zeus" as an cowardly oaf who care about himself is a dark reflection on how Thor's fans see Taika Watti when they went to the theaters with popcorn/soft drinks, wanting their "Thor" to be more serious & arrogant as his Phase 1/2 self.

That would be extremely forced. Putting aside that plenty of Thor fans enjoy and defend Taiki's take on Thor (for what it's worth, his work has been Truer to the Text than the first two films, to both the comics and the mythology).

Nobody is going into the film getting a Broken Pedestal towards Taika over Thor not being serious enough, simply because if you want a serious Thor movie then you probably disliked Ragnarok and already dislike Taiki's take. At best, some are disappointed that the promise for the film to be the "gayest Marvel movie ever" proved to be overselling the amount of queer content in the film.

https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Tropers/ablackraptor: It the Phase 1/2 Thor's fans who want for a darker movie about their "God of Thunder", I honestly don't mind Thor movies taking a comedic turn at Taikai' directing, The trilogy needs this.

Ragarnok and Love and Thunder along with the Thor Trilogy would be complete failures if weren't for Waitti & his brand of humor.

That how Thor fans are when they don't get their way.

The Phase 1/2 Thor movies weren't "dark" tho? Thor had Thor getting comically hurt repeatedly due to his Fish out of Water nature while The Dark World had everything with Selvig, Loki not being trusted, etc, on top of both films having Darcy Lewis as Plucky Comic Relief. Never mind both Avengers movies were written by Whedon.

It's a weird thing that people seem to have rewritten in their memory that those movies were dark.

In any case, I don't think them wanting the film to be darker is comparable to Thor being disgusted to learn his idol is a cowardly pig.
