Regarding That One Boss candidates: I can agree that Super Kamoshidaman is quite the difficulty spike due to his damage output and ability to deny Boost. Early Game Hell didn't help in this regard. Yosukesaurus is actually not as hard... provided you don't trigger his retaliations, but most players are not likely to catch on until they focus exclusively on the Herbivores.
No opinions on the remaining bosses which I haven't fought yet.
Hide / Show RepliesThe Mother Computer is more tedious than difficult. Any possible difficulty associated with it I can attribute to being unlucky (having your sole copy of a skill getting locked down) or ill-prepared (not having a wide variety of attack options). I feel this is more in line with Goddamned Boss than That One Boss territory.
The fourth boss was tedious, but I would attribute some of the difficulty to my choice of team members. If you've been exploiting Link skills to chain-hit single tough enemies into submission, ho boy, its gimmicks can easily put a stop to that strategy. The second phase really makes you plan up to three turns ahead and can go awry quickly if it knocks out a party member before you've freed up your healer.
I have noticed during the game's announcement time, some fans were disappointed when they found out that Hikari was going to be non-playable unless you count her actions in the final boss-battle.. Would this count as under the trope Tainted by the Preview?
