It's here because whoever moved it here didn't realise it was Word of God or similar. Feel free to move it back to the main page (with edit reasons), and add [[invoked]] to the end of the line in order to disable the colored bullet. The tag won't show up on the main page, so make it clear in how you write the example that it's the author who states it's an Author Tract.
Edited by Telcontar That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.Regardless of whether it's in the YMMV index or not, the No True Scotsman example belongs on the Main page because it's clearly an example of the fallacy being invoked within the story itself. There's no subjectivity about it, and this is a perfect example of why sorting tropes purely on whether they're in the YMMV index or not is a clumsy rule of thumb.
Edited by Kurtulmak Hide / Show RepliesApparently if you add "in-universe" after the trope name, it doesn't get red-dotted. I'm going to try it now.
Considering that the author of the work claims this to be an Author Tract, why is Author Tract listed under YMMV? (I added Author Tract to the main page before seeing that it was under YMMV. I believe that it fits in the main page, but if someone would like to remove it while we discuss, that's fine.)
