I wouldn't call bugs being cute Artistic License – Biology, I think bugs are pretty cute. I mean, subjective opinions can't really be chalked up to biology. However, I will point out that the insects have human-like eyes instead of compound ones.

The closest thing to Tink in a jar in the actual movie are her in a bird cage, and jarred Vidia.
